BikiniBound's Diary

Listen BB, I am stuck going to Miami again this weekend as I'm having my apartment renovated and I need to check on the job. Will arrive Fri afternoon and leave Monday evening. Can you see if there are any cheap flights to Miami for the weekend? I'll cover hotel and car rental?! I would love to go if I had someone coming with me, but I'm dreading going myself. None of my friends can join me, my sister just had a baby, and H is just terrified to fly. PLEASE COME?! Would cheer you up loads (my flight is $158 RT; CHARGE IT!).

Oh gawd!! You have no idea how tempting that is!! But I am poor as a church mouse now that I've lost that client. H just told me yesterday he has to send $$ to Australia, and I said, "what money? We don't have much in the bank as it is." :rotflmao: I could put it on the CC, but I think H would kill me if I went. Damn.

As much as I love to travel, I could never marry anyone terrified to fly..lol. But then, I haven't gotten on an airplane since I came back from Austarlia 6yrs ago!! So I guess it doesn't matter since I haven't got any money.

Today I'm feeling like a jack of all trades and a master of none.

I love to travel, but always for very short periods. Usually around 5 days to a week is more than enough time away for me, so I'll take 3 or so short trips a year, often to visit people so I end up saving on hotel and going to exotic places . I have my sis in FL (though she was in the UK so I visited there once), I have a close friend in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands/Caribbean, and since I lived in Bermuda I have loads of friends there (I used to visit my sis there every single Sept until she moved away 3 years ago). Its very cool knowing someone in the Caribbean who has a boat! My first time there we took this boat on a 12 hour crazy hairy trip to St. Maarten from his Island. I've had such wild times visiting this guy Craig, who I've known for 13 years now.

Anyway, if anything cheap comes around either to Miami or Ft Lauderdale, meet up with me and pay for H's credit (H will just need to work more hours to cover it..ha ha).

Did you ever have any interest in radiology/ultrasound? I personally have no medical interest whatsoever, but my sis really wants to get into that and take baby sonograms. Seems like a good living and an expanding field, takes about 2 years of schooling. I have a friend who does something like that and after working as a radiologist for about 10 years she was making over $90K. Now that's in a NYC hospital and I doubt people normally make that amount of money, but medical technology is really a profession that's here to stay I would think (and ya can't ship it off to India, at least I hope not!).

So sorry honey-poo! :hug2:

Will you pass me the bottle? :beerchug:

I was a total pig at dinner and I bet I gain 2-3 lb. when I weigh in Tues.

:(

 I'll cry w/you!

Oooh, ouch, sorry about that client--what a waste of time!

OMG, friends don't let friends drink White Zin. Naughty naughty! If ANYTHING have a rosé de Pinot Noir or SOMETHING ;)

Hope you have a great day today!

Hey Kimberly,
Sorry you had a rough weekend:hug2:
Just think tho, the next person you deal with might be the one to turn it all around and make you feel on top of the world again!
I can completely understand where you are coming from. I deal with the public each day and each day I just want to ring some of their necks! *L* For every one bad customer though there are usually ten good ones. Look forward to dealing with the good ones!
You can of course repeat all of this stuff to me when I go on a rant in the future ok *L*
Hope monday is being good to you!:hug2::hug2:

Yah... it's a true story and it's fucked up. LOL Well, I love you girly... I hope you're doing better. I'm back and will be on top of my game. Also... don't go drinking White Zin.... and you're one to talk about me being "ghetto." LMAO!! TTYLT via Yahoo if you need me. Just text "Sweet Hot Juggies".. it's kind of like the "Batman Signal." Well, you and Sheryl can call me ghetto or white trash, but I like white zin. :) At least my bottle had a cork and wasn't screw on..lmao.

I'm feeling much better today--no hangover, either. Talked to my manager this morning and he is cool. He wasn't impressed with the bitch. She told him she still wanted to work with me!! Can you believe it? She just wants me to bust my ass for her so that she can write an offer with another agent and screw me over. Not gonna happen.

I'm really thinking seriously of getting out of RE. I make squat at it. I just don't know what else I'd do that I would enjoy.

Good thing you were sitting on the pot when that wig flew over--always a good place to be when you piss yourself...lmao.

I'm glad you're back. What was up this weekend?:hug2:

LMAO@sweet hot juggies!!

Scalentino said 229.5 this morning. I'm not sure if it's right--I didn't exercise yesterday, and I ate about 2100 calories (531 from the wine). I'll see what it says tomorrow before I get excited about hitting the 220s and change my ticker.

Hey Sweetness! Sorry about the house buying business, that just SUCKS! Hmmmmm, maybe it's time for us to go into the B&B business now?? I have a feeling that is just up your alley, and I think you would be EXCELLENT at it. Anyway of making that happen?? Buy some fixer upper, put a little charm into it, then rent out some rooms and pay the rent?? Plus, you can live their too, and well since your paying mortgage currently, maybe you could kill two birds with one stone. I seriously think you should check into that, plus I felt that little spark in you when you spoke about it previously, it's a passion right?? Sometimes, things happen for a reason, and maybe this is what you should be doing??? Hmmmmm, I really hope you can come up with something that your happy with, it sucks being stuck in a job that doesn't work, trust me I know! I lub ya girlfriend!! XOXOXO OHHHH And THANKS for the drunken rep. LOL LOL Your so funny!

that's actually my - if i ever win the lottery - dreams... but it'd be a b&b for people who are more like me than the typical b&b'er - it would be full service and none of this forced joining activities in the evening crap - anti social behaviour would be encouraged... the food would be awesome - the beds comfortable and people would be left alone...

you are more than welcome to franchise out my idea -it would make b&bs more accessilble to real people...

Mel, I've never been to a B&B that had activities included at night, that's weird! My H and I stay in one about twice a year, and so far we have been really lucky!! The best thing of all are the home made breakfast in the morning and the great fluffy mattresses and pillows, we feel like royalty each time, and we are NEVER bothered by any body, if that was the case, I would never go! We love our peace and quiet time, and most are just for adults, to me that's what a B&B should be. AHHHHH Maybe we should all go in together and start the 3 Billy Goats Gruff B&B, LOL LOL hey I"m stubborn like a goat sometimes, that's all I'm saying LMAO!!

I was wonderig i you actually knew me from my past -Mel is a very old nickname of mine... too funny...

Most b and bs I've been too - are just way to chipper cheerful joiney - I had one b and b owner try to hug me once.. I swear I almost decked her :) I'm content to be not talked to when Im in a hotel... :D

I would love to have a B&B even if 1. I'd have to get up EARLY, and 2. I'd have to deal with the damn public...lmao.

However, one needs a chunk of $$ in the bank to get one of those going--and to start from scratch is very hard to do. The best thing is to take over one that is already doing well. I am not paying a mortgage atm b/c we live with the parents.

I love you, too. And you're more than welcome for the drunken rep. :)

I know some B&Bs have evening wine and cheese socials and afternoons teas. I like that idea as long as guests don't feel they must join in. I am a social person by nature, so that kind of thing appeals to me. However, if you have a small inn, it would be hard to do. I'd rather leave a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers in the guest room--that way they still get the goodies, but don't feel obligated to socialize. I like informal afternoon tea available upon arrival so guests can have some refreshments after a sometimes long drive--it's there for the taking--not forced upon them.

I completely understand the chatty host/hostess who won't leave you alone. I've run into that a few times. Some guests want to chat, other don't. A wise host/ess can tell who those people are and leave them alone. ;)
