BikiniBound's Diary

I'm a corporate lawyer. But I have it pretty easy I must admit. I have fridays off and I often work from home one day in the week; the job is very stress free. H wants a break from the baby when I get home, and naturally I want to spend time with her until her bedtime at 8pm (she's taking after me with the early nights), but shiat, I need a f'n second to eat ya know? On fridays I usually disappear off to the hair salon for a blow dry and the nail salon for a manicure and pedicure, which pisses him off but he has to put up with it. He thinks he does so much in fixing things and carrying things and stuff (plus he vacuums, I despise doing that), but its still not even I dont think!

A corporate lawyer! Damn Cita! That is cool. So you spend your days screwing people over?? lmao..j/k. I didn't realize it until I became a realtor, but most people put lawyers and realtors into the same dishonest group--just slightly above used car salespeople..lol. Funny thing is that I get screwed all the time by people who I bend over backwards for, and then they go and use someone else! I have never screwed over a client..maybe I should..lol.

Yeah, most men who have stay at home wives think all they need to do is bring home the paycheck and the wife should do everything else. But when the men stay home, I guess it's a different story, eh? My girlfriend stays at home and her H is a whiny baby if she asks him to do anything. She does all the cleaning, cooking, errand running, bill paying, etc--and most of the child-rearing too, let's not forget that. And when he comes home from work he'll often go to his office in the basement for hours and leave her stuck with the kids again..when she is dying for a break. Or if she asks him to do some "man type" job around the house he gets all whiny about it. And why do I want kids again??? j/k lol

:DThanks for stopping by, Tammy! Hope you had fun "grocery shopping!" :jump: Hope you managed to squeeze in a massage during your 4hr break...lol. Yeah, some men (not all) just have no idea how hard it is to spend all day, day after day at home doing neverending housework and dealing with the kids all day long. Thank God for school, eh?

Well, weight this a.m. was 236.5. So I'm down a 1/2lb from yesterday, and up 1/2lb from my lowest weight. Here is the typical pattern I've been doing lately. My last 8 weigh-ins starting with today:

Friday 9/7--236.5
Thurs--237
Weds--237.5
Tues--238.5
Mon-239.5
Sun 9/2--238.5
Sat 9/1--237
Fri 8/31--236

So I spend 3 days gaining 3.5lbs, and then spend 4 days losing it. That's what I've been doing for 3.5weeks now.:confused:

In my specific line of work we don't screw people over, we just facilitate transactions such as acquisitions or drafting contracts for our corporate clients. No litigation/court thank God! I just sit in my office and due to my very short attention span, check in a quick diary between paragraphs in a boring contract. LOL.

I would never screw over a realtor like that, that sucks that you've met people like that.

The baby is so well worth it. They are so cute and sweet, and she makes me so happy. She's very good and rarely cries, so she is totally stress free. If my man did his equal share around the house, my life would be a piece of cake. My girlfriend just married this man she met on the internet and she's preggers (they met about 7 months ago). They are so happy and he treats her so great, cooks her dinner and cleans the house top to bottom, picks her up from work and stuff. They're on their honeymoon now on a cruise. So I guess you're right to be careful about the man you pick as the daddy . But I don't have a seconds regret. Now having more? That could be far too chaotic!

I would never screw over a realtor like that, that sucks that you've met people like that. Happens all the time. Unlike lawyers, we can't bill for time spent making calls, researching or running around for them. Strictly commission based. So if a sale never occurs, or I don't get them to sign a buyer agency right away (which I rarely do b/c it tends to scare them off), they have no loyalty, and I work in the hopes that I'll get paid at some point..lol. :drooling:

I don't know, all my friends with more than one say the first one makes all the big life changes for you. Having a second one doesn't change things much more, plus it gives the first one someone to play with besides you, letting you off the hook..lol. Yeah, I am dying to be little miss BB homemaker/mommy. That's why H has to either get a real career, or I'm finding someone who already has one and wants the same things I do. I'm too old to wait much longer.

Thanks for dropping into my diary of debauchery and plateau hell. If you have ANY suggestions as to how I can start losing again, PLEASE let me know!!! I am getting very discouraged and despondant. I list my diet and exercise daily, so you can see what I'm doing. Age--35, 5'9" large framed weight info is in my ticker.

I'll have to read through and get a feel for what you're doing. I'm sure I'll have some suggestions. :)

What exactly is the problem? Weight not falling? Are you taking measurements?

Oh, and if you want to join my WLF Harem of Hotties, you are more than welcome. It's ok that you're married--there's no sex involved...lol Just the prestige of being a member...LMAO:D

Is there an initiation process? :p

Damn... I can't stand whiney men. When Sean and I first got married, he would do that... well that is until I called him on it.. "You know.. you sound like a whiney little bitch... man up, damnitt." After that incident, he's freaking awesome and well.... I pay him in sex as a reward. I'd have to say.. that's MUCH better than ice cream. LMAO!!!

Much better than ice cream:rotflmao:

The problem around here is that PJ just sucks at fixing things and putting things together...me being the tomboy I always was I'm awesome at it so I just do it. A lto of the time I just do it instead of bitching at him... maybe I let him get off easy!!

No kidding! I take out the trash, assemble purchases, handle the bills, kids, schedules, go to school, clean the house and some of the yard, minor repairs and decorating [hanging pictures, etc], move furniture to organize rooms...

Let me tell you what I don't do- mop and cut grass and bathe the dog.

And he complains about mopping. Jerk.

Gotta be water no ? I mean you are not doing anything THAT different than you had been right ?
I've not been doing this long enough yet to hit a plateau myself so I don't know what is really involved in it . I hope it breaks for you soon. Just don't get discouraged about it. :hug2:
Keep working at it.

What exactly is the problem? Weight not falling? Are you taking measurements? I have been, but not lately. Although I haven't noticed any difference in my clothes the last month, so I doubt I've lost any inches.
Is there an initiation process? :p

Hmmm...ladies, I think we should make an initiation just for Steve..lol. Any ideas? Sheryl, I'm sure you could come up with some, although I doubt we could actually do them..:rotflmao:

Food!

The last two weeks I've been low-carbing it. Have you heard of the metabolic diet? I saw it in Tony McClellan's diary and thought I'd give it a try, since nothing else seems to be working. This calls for 30g of carbs a day limit and after 2weeks of doing this you begin carb loading weekends where you can basically eat whatever you want--trying to keep the carbs the majority of the diet. I did a carb loading weekend last weekend, not realizing I was supposed to wait for 2 weeks. So this weekend I will keep to the low carb thing. Prior to this I was eating about 60-100g of carbs per day. I'll list some sample meals at the end.
