Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Thank you Cate, I am SOOOO happy!!! I have next weeks goal as 67.7kgs, lets see if I can keep the big losses coming!!

********************************

I did post quickly this morning, just being here though made me think... I should go out and exercise. I'm trying to be active every day and I know I have a walk later, but nutritionist doesn't really count those and I have a carb I really want to eat at lunch but I'm not supposed to unless I work for it, haha! So I went to the gym for CARDIO **gasps** Don't die of shock or anything, but it actually didn't kill me. I just did HIIT on the treadmill for 30mins, even sped the last 20secs of 2 intervals up to 13kms p/h (I think the average speed of my running was around 11km p/h). So had 4 Brazil nuts beforehand, and a shake with 1/2 scoop protein, 1/2 serve fruit (I had 50g frozen cherries) and glutamine when I got back.

Here's todays breakfast in my cute little $2.80 ramekin from Daiso:

The recipe was in a post above, but basically I cooked blueberries and apple and put that in the bottom and added my baked oatmeal mix on top and baked for 30mins. Taste-wise, it was freakin awesome but not what I was expecting! The oatmeal layer at the top tasted like scone (of all things, haha!) and the fruit at the bottom just went really nicely with it. I heated it up for a minute before eating it too, nom! I love breakfast food.

Ohhhhhhhh I'm so over this weather here too (and my seriously shitty weather app on my phone that is 90% of the time VERY WRONG). I was expecting lovely fine weather today, and it was gorgeous out when I walked to the gym if a little bit cool... was even going to take my umbrella out of my bag but thought I'd leave it because it seemed too much effort to take it out (ha. I'd just woken up OK!) On the way back from the gym it was bucketing down!!! My gym shoes are SOAKED and I have to walk to work in them later!!! (NOTE TO SELF: Buy a second pair of shoes just for walking in). It seems t be raining every day at the moment, where the hell has summer gone? Hopefully better weather in a month when Leone (lil sis) gets here!!! It's exactly 4 weeks today!!!!!!! Also had my TOIL days from Boxing day approved, so I have the Thu/Fri/ first normal hour of work on Sat off. YAY!

I'll post tomorrows food plan in now, why not. Everything is already prepped and ready to go.... GUYS, I WILL GET 7 PERFECT DAYS THIS WEEK!!!! Cheat meal is Mon night, going to the movies with husband and instead of dinner I will be enjoying coke zero, popcorn, and either Maltesers or a choc top. Until then though... PERFECTION. :smash:

Tomorrows food plan

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout Protein shake with glutamine
B 150g lactose free yogurt, 1/3 cup frozen raspberries, 1 tsp chia seeds all blended into a frogurt topped with 1/2 cup fruit free muesli
S Turkey and spinach lasagne
L Smoothie
S 2 hardboiled eggs, 1 carrot, 1/4 red capsicum
D Bean pizza base (same as last week) topped with spinach, onion, fresh tomato, 2 tbsp. light cream cheese, 2 tbsp. parmesan

Exercise PT- back day, walk to work

If I'm doing my conversions right, 11 kms is fast!! I'm glad it didn't kill you :) That breakfast sounds and looks delicious!!

Perfect day 1 down, 6 to go!!!

I had a WEIRD morning. I'm about 90% sure it was from the new coffee beans we have (they taste WAAAY weaker, so I did 2 extra strong shots this morning thinking that there would be less caffeine in them too). About 30mins after my coffee, I got SUPER anxious. About nothing. And because I was anxious I was getting that tight panicky feeling in my chest and thought I was going to have a panic attack. I haven't felt like that for so long, it took me ages to calm down! I did everything I could think of- drank a heap of water, made a more interesting lunch and cooked it, made some herbal tea and put some music on... eventually I calmed down, but it was AWFUL! I didn't feel completely normal until I was outside and walking to work and expending some of that nervous energy. So... I'll be making my coffees half-caf from now on! I had a similar reaction to coffee about a year ago when I was avoiding caffeine completely and only drinking decaf... went out and got an x-large something from a coffee shop and they used regular instead of decaf, I spent the rest of the day in a panic having hot flushes thinking I was going to die. Haha. Goddamit.

I'm proud of how I handled above situation though, I didn't even THINK about eating a bunch of food to calm down... went straight on to distracting myself and it worked (mostly- until I went and exercised!) Completely fine now though. It was so random!

Tomorrow I have gym in the morning and I no longer have to walk to work as Wade can take me. Yay! I only work 11-3 tomorrow.

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!! <-------- bursting with positivity

I had to get up earlier for gym this morning which means the husband was still home when I got up for gym... which meant I could get him to take progress pics quickly. I hated the face ones so you're only getting a back view from a purposely unflattering angle, but I think you notice the difference most from this side (especially in my waist and how much smoother my bra sits now!) Also... you can see how much my hair colour has grown out :blush5: Fixing that in a month so it's only going to get worse...

So YAY! Buuuuuuuut looking at the pics reminds me how much farther I have to go. I wonder how long I can keep up these near 1kg per week losses, they seem to just come out of nowhere. I haven't even had a perfect week yet!!! This is definitely the easiest/fastest I've ever lost weight. I feel so free not counting calories anymore too, I was trying to figure out why I was so much less stressed about it all and I think that's it.

Gym this morning was harrrrrrrrrd. Back day = shit tonne of deadifts. Blarg. Actually haven't deadlifted for a couple of weeks so it seemed EXTRA hard today!!

Oooh, just one more random thing... I ordered a couple of gorgeous face masks from Iherb and tried this one yesterday:
It's an avocado and cocoa mask (I like the age-defying ones because they make the best moisturising masks). Seriously- this stuff looked and smelled like Nutella. I wanted to eat the jar, haha! It was sooooo nice having it on my face for 10mins, all I could smell was chocolate!

Food plan for tomorrow

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout Protein shake
B Savoury cheesy bread stuff
S Another bean pizza base loaded with veg
L Green smoothie
S 2 crackers, 1/3 avocado
D Chicken meatloaf, 2 cups mixed roasted veg (parsnip, turnip, carrot, onion, cauliflower, beetroot)

Exercise Going to go to the gym tomorrow morning to do... something. Probably going to be more accessory work than anything, might also finish with a lil bit of cardio (nothing too extreme, might do 10mins HIIT on a spin bike or something).

:( on the caffeine-induced feeling of panic. :) for you calming yourself down healthily. There's a big improvement in those 2 photos Lucy, & in such a short time. You are going great!

There's an obvious improvement. Well done. One of the things I've noticed as I've gotten smaller, is that smaller amounts of weight loss make much bigger visual differences. The difference between 295 and 275 visually wasn't much. The difference between 195 and 175 has been dramatic.

Thanks guys!!! I know the next 5kgs will be more noticeable for sure!

It's 7pm here so safe to say perfect day 2 is done! Yewww!! 5 more to go. Had a realllllllllly quiet day at work, makes for a painfully slow shift. Was so glad to get out of there! Really hope the weekend picks up a bit. I work 11-4 Sat and Sun.

Randomly- I got the most amazing perfect dress ever- bought it online with the end of year clearance sales... I've actually been eyeing it off for a few months but couldn't justify spending $90 on a dress when I was feeling pretty blah about myself. It was already 25% off, then they started a 30% discount on sale stock... so I got it SO CHEAP. I bought it in a 10, it fits beautifully, the colours are amazing, it's my favourite piece of clothing right now. Here it is for the curious:

Anyhoo... just chillin right now with my soda water, watching some shows with the husband... Going to get up and go to the gym tomorrow. Have a good day/night everyone!

Thanks Cate!

Well, gym isn't happening today. It's completely bucketing down outside again! I'm actually pretty sore today from deadlifting yesterday so that helped make the decision- I think I might enjoy today as a rest day and go in tomorrow. Still woke up really early though, can't seem to help it these days!! I've already eaten breakfast, I was really hungry this morning.

May as well post tomorrows food plan now.

Preworkout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout Protein shake
B Same lil oatmeal dish as the other day
S 130g Chicken meatloaf with 2 cups roast veg mix
L Smoothie
S 40g hummus, carrot
D Lean beef mince stir fry

Exercise Will head to gym tomorrow!! I mean, still isn't a planned gym day but I'd like to.

Thanks Mystic! 3 perfect days down, 4 to go!!!

Except that today ended up being cheat meal. I was actually SUPER hungry after dinner, kinda went screw it and put together a massive jumbled dessert bowl which ended up being awesome. It was the yogurt stuff I froze the other day, topped with 1/2 cup my regular muesli, 2 serves of some low carb chocolate I made (80g- its made from cashews, coconut, cacao and stevia), and 2/3 of my regular oat brekki that I'd turned into choc muffins. It was amazing. I actually think it probably ended up being a lot better for me than movie popcorn and maltesers would've been!

But now... to be perfect, next 4 days means no cheats!!!

Just got back from a good gym session!!! I did twinge a muscle in my back, was unrelated to the exercise I was doing though. I loaded up a bar to do a warm up set of squats and I walked under the bar, put my hands up to catch it and walk out and just the motion of having my shoulders back twinged something in between my shoulder blades. Still did a decent work out, mostly legs with a bit of chest and HIIT on the bike at the end. Ohhhhh and of course, it was raining when I walked home. Lol.

Working 11-4 today, should be easy to stay on track the next few days (it usually is following my cheat meal!) Tomorrow will be the hardest day of any, just because I'm home with my husband and we are still going to that movie tomorrow night. If anything, I'll grab a coke zero tomorrow... but I know I'll get in trouble having it outside of a cheat meal. Haha. So I'll see how I feel then.

Anyhoo... nothing else to write really, just checking in.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 150g light lactose free yogurt, 1/3 cup raspberries, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1/2 cup fruit free muesli
S 40g hummus, mixed veg sticks
L Beef pie thing in mountain bread
S Strawberries or cherries with 40g nut bar
D Chicken meatloaf and cauliflower soup

Exercise Depending on how my legs feel tomorrow, it'll either be HIIT on the treadmill at the gym or if I'm sore/fatigued from today, it'll just be a walk. I have legs on Tue so don't want them to be tired!

I have legs every day! :blush5: Seriously Lucy, you are a woman on a mission & I can read about your food today & think it sounds scrumptious, but without wanting to kill you :D, as I have had a delicious, filling breakfast. Hunger & I are not companions. Enjoy your week-end xo Cate

I don't think I could handle all that rain. Though I'm not sure how much better snow is in that regard and I deal with it for near 6 months a year.
Long days at home are always the hardest for staying on track.

Haha Cate! I meant legs day :biggrinjester: I love my menus too, if I didn't I wouldn't be able to stick to it!!!

Mystic- It seems to be really wet here this year, so weird! We had hardly any last year, drought in QLD can be pretty bad though so I'm not complaining about the rain. I agree with the days at home, I'm sure if I worked full time I'd have been much closer to my goal right now!!

****************************

4 perfect days now guys, 3 to go! Tomorrow will be the hardest day, then smooth sailing. Had a really boring day at work today, was so glad when it was over. HURRAY FOR DAYS OFF!!!! 3 of them. I have my massive cooking day on Wed, not really any plans for Mon/Tue. I think tomorrow I'll go to the gym for a run, then put the finishing touches on my menu for the next fortnight and make up a shopping list. After that, not so much! Day of with my husband, so probably watching a lot of tv and then going to the movies at night.

Hahahaha yea I know, I had to read back and see what I'd written. :smilielol5:

Well, weather is crap again today. Huge amount of rain in a short period of time last night, heaps of suburbs here flooded (not ours, we never flood here). It actually caused me to sleep in, normally the sun streaming in wakes me up early even if it IS raining but this morning was super dark. I checked my phone expecting it to be 5-6ish, it was 7.30! Super late for me!!! Nice to have a little sleep in. Haven't been to the gym, debating whether I really want to go or not... I have my 3 PT days in a row starting tomorrow, so I am leaning toward another rest day. Will probably make it into the gym Fri and Sat anyway (not Sun this week, my bootcamp starts Mon so I have exercise sessions on Mon/Fri there and then PT Tue-Thu).

Think it's going to be a lazy snuggly indoors type day with the husband. :D Which means I probably won't move from the couch all day. I'm 100% OK with this! Going to do my meal planning soon, I love it even if it's pretty time consuming. Speaking of- todays food will be the same minus the pre/post workout meals and minus my carb at lunch (will just be meat and veg).

Meal plan for tomorrow

Pre workout water with lemon, 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout Protein shake
B Thinking of making that blueberry strudel thing again
S 2 crackers with 1/3 avocado
L Turkey lasagne
S 2 hardboiled eggs, 1 carrot
D 130g turmeric chicken with 2 cups veg mix (I think it's baby carrots/green beans/ broccoli/ cauliflower)

Exercise PT- legs day!

Have a fantastic day/ night/ in between people!!!!!!!!! I'll post again tonight after the movie and let you know what a perfect food day I've had!!

Quick lil ninja edit- I ordered work shirts in a size 10 and they came today... they seem to be huge! I haven't washed them yet but I was worried about them not fitting... I think they're going to be too big in a couple of months, easy!

First off, Yay for so many perfect days!
Secondly, 7:30 is in no way a sleep in!! Yesterday I slept till 11, and a day during my holidays I slept till noon. Those are sleep ins!

Guyssssssss... I had a BAD food day. BAD. :banghead:

Kinda started after lunch, I was craving sugar so had my snack at midday straight after lunch, then I just started eating and eating. I had another bowl exactly like what I had the other day, then a few hours later I had 1/2 of one of my breakfasts I had precooked for later in the week with another 40g serve of that homemade chocolate (not making that again, it's a bit triggering I think!) then at the movies I ate an entire medium popcorn, 155g bag of Maltesers, and about 1/2 a med coke zero. Yikes. I honestly don't know why it's so hard to behave with food when my husband is around!!!! Doesn't help he didn't want to go out or leave the house today at all, some of it could be boredom. Also could be completely unrelated but TOM is due in like 3 days (I'm not usually that regular anyway so like I said, could be unrelated and just making excuses for myself).

Hate how every now and then I kind of fall in a heap! Not letting myself feel guilty about this though, the day is over, tomorrow is a new day, and I've managed to pull 4 out of 5 perfect days this week. 6 out of 7 is fine, as long as I'm still losing and not gaining it's all going in the right direction!

On a side note- I am never ever in my life eating cinema popcorn again. My mouth is completely raw and I have a huge blister on the inside of my cheek, WTF. The popcorn is punishing me!
