Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Perfect day 3 down, 7 to go. I didn't go to boxing as I was too sore but I went to body balance, and I'm heading to yoga shortly (husband wanted to get a workout in so I decided why not).

Work was urrgh, boring. Had to do a radio bit too because no one would do it, it was pretty cringe-worthy. They even sent me a copy, hahaha! Not much going on tomorrow, I have PT in the morning and then work 11-3. After that, no plans I'm aware of.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 1/2 cup muesli, 150g yogurt, 1/3 cup raspberries
Post workout Protein shake
S Prawn and rice stir fry
L Smoothie
S 130g apple, 40g almond butter
D Sausage and veg casserole

Exercise PT (chest day)

Just letting you guys know I haven't dropped off the face of the planet, just been busy. In more of a maintenance-type thing at the moment and going to continue it over my 2 weeks off (I fly home tomorrow!!) Not going to stress about weight stuff while I'm away, going to re-focus when I get back. Hoping to stick around 67kgs, going to set a new goal and start fresh on my return! Hope you're all well :D

Just got back from holidays and... ate all the food. And on both flights drank all the drinks. I reckon I'm probably going to weigh in at something obscene tomorrow (like 72ish kgs) so going to work on that IMMEDIATELY. Argh. Holidays were amazing though, so nice to see family! Will get right back into posting tomorrow.

Yea so bit melodramatic, hahaha. Was 68.4kg on the scales though I feel HUUUGE. And clothes are definitely tighter, can't believe so much muscle has just disappeared in a fortnight. Back on getting rid of this weight now though!!

Holidays were great! Stayed mainly with my parents, caught up with my oldest friend from childhood for a few days before she took off to the US for 6 months and went to a surprise party for her, did a lot of shopping, caught up with the in laws, went ice-skaing with my sister and brother-in-law (OMG so much fun!) No exercise was done aside from the walking while shopping. Feels weird being back too!!! Think we might move back to Perth next year, though I completely ADORE QLD. Will have to see.

Today will be full of washing and grocery shopping.

Food plan for today

B 2 chicken sausages, 2 eggs, coffee
S Protein ball
L Will have to go out and get something, there's no food in the house. Might get a salad somewhere and just do the grocery shopping after
S 2 hardboiled eggs
D Think I'll do crumbed chicken breasts and veges

Exercise None, kinda hung over from flying yesterday

Yesterday was a pretty good day, ate around 2000cals, fairly low carb... did a lot of walking around as I had to grocery shop, do multiple loads of washing, unpack, clean etc. Busy day! I was absolutely shattered in the evening, went to sleep around 9.30 and didn't wake up till my alarm at 8am and I think I could have easily still kept sleeping.

Today I've been to the gym, started back with PT and straight into legs. I'm going to be in a world of hurt tomorrow!! Had the PT weigh me as I still didn't really believe my weigh in, was exactly 69.4 (clothed and after a massive breakfast/coffee/ heaps of water) so it has to have been correct. I can think of at least 2 days when calories would have easily been over 5000, most days were 2000ish or over and almost no exercise... also had alcohol several times. No idea where all the excess food went then!!

PT tomorrow, will also get Pilates in. Then back to work on Thu, argh.

Food for today

B 2 rashers of bacon, 1/2 avocado, 2 eggs, coffee
S (post workout) PB protein ice-cream, Quest PB cups
L (this will be lunch/afternoon tea and probably not till after 1pm) Bowl of pumpkin soup, carrots and capsicum with spicy guacamole, camembert cheese
D Salad with chicken breast, tomato, cucumber, carrot, cheddar, homemade dressing

Exercise 1hr PT (legs)

Thought I'd quickly edit and add in tomorrows food plan also!!

Food for tomorrow

B 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, coffee
S (in between PT and pilates) Quest chips
L Chicken salad as above, 200g strawberries, 150g light Greek yogurt
S Carrot and capsicum with spicy guacamole
D Pumpkin soup, crispy skinned salmon

Exercise 1hr PT (back), 1hr pilates

Hey guys, good day today. Pilates was INTENSE, possibly the most challenging class I've ever done. I wasn't in too much pain today but tomorrow will definitely be a different story!!!

Back to work tomorrow, yuck. I really need a new job, the awesome pay isn't enough to make up for how boring my days are.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Beef and cheese casserole I made, coffee
S Camembert, 20g Brazil nuts
L PB chia pudding I made
S Protein smoothie with cherries
D Salmon, pumpkin soup

Exercise Going to a body balance class in the morning before work, might go to yoga after work too if husband decides he wants to gym after work.

Had another good day yesterday!! Also, the chia puddings I made are SO GOOD! They came out so thick it's a cross between a pudding and a fudge. Accidental but I like it! Here's the recipe if you're interested, you can totally add another 1/2 cup of liquid if you want a proper pudding-

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

60g chia seeds
1x 400ml tin of coconut cream
60g peanut butter (I used salted)
1 serve PB protein powder (you can omit this or use a different flavour)
Stevia or sweetener of choice to taste
Salt if you used unsalted PB

Blend all ingredients except for the chia seeds. Pour over seeds in a dish and mix thoroughly. Leave on the counter and stir again every few minutes for about 15mins until the chia seeds have started to swell and aren't sitting on the bottom anymore. Divide mix into 4 bowls or glasses, cover and refrigerate. 4 serves, I'm eating one every day till they're gone!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First day of work was the same as always... BORING. Wade is going to ask today if he can hire anyone else in his new position, if it's full time he's going to press to have me interviewed. Less per hour by a couple of dollars (but I'm on a huge hourly rate at the moment anyway) and no commission but full time and will be busy. So I won't have time to sit around and play phone games and wonder what the hell I'm doing with my life. Ha. Also less time to sit around and eat all the things (though I've been getting much better at that lately).

I work 11-3 today, think I'm going out with Wade after work.

Food for today

B Savoury mince and 2 eggs, coffee
S PB chia pudding (after workout)
L Protein smoothie
S 100g anchovy stuffed olives
D Salmon or bacon, pumpkin soup

Exercise 1hr PT (chest and tris)

Whoops, missed a few days again. Just weighed in at 67.4kgs despite a terrible weekend... Can honestly say I don't understand the scales anymore. I knew I was retaining a bit from holidays but thought I would be again today, weeeird. Only have to lose 200g next week to stick to my weekly plan and with TOM due then it might be all I lose anyway. Would have a little dance party though if I finally break into the 66s.

Right... anyway, I was all braced for a terrible weigh in, all ready to spout my re-dedication and this week WILL BE A GOOD ONE and well, weigh in was awesome so I feel the wind taken out of my sails a bit lol. Almost back down to my lowest weight again without really trying. Anyhoo... Still everything in this paragraph!

I have PT shortly, feeling not quite yet recovered from my first week back but I'm getting there. Having weight/measurements taken today (PT decided it was mean if we did it last week so we waited a week). Interested in comparing measurements from when I started, weight will only be slightly lower but these 1hr PT sessions must be doing more than my 30min ones! Also the other classes I do too. This weeks exercise scedule will look something like this...

Mon PT- legs
Tue Pilates
Wed PT- back, Pilates
Thu Body balance or yoga (or even both)
Fri PT- chest
Sat 1hr walk to work
Sun Rest

Gearing up for grocery shopping tomorrow night too, down to very limited choices currently!!

Food for today

B PB chia pudding (took some to the ladies at work yesterday having never had chia seeds- they LOVED it), coffee
Post workout PB protein ice-cream, 30g PB
L 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs
S 110g guacamole, chopped carrots
D Crispy skinned salmon, 2 cups mixed veg, 200g oven baked chips

Exercise PT- legs

So many times the scales go up, when we least expect them to, so it's great it's working the other way for you Lucy! I love reading about the food you eat. Your metabolism must be consistently good now I think as you get fitter & fitter. Now for a more interesting job......hopefully! xo Cate

Sometimes seeing the scale go down after a bad few days of eating actually re-ignites me more than seeing it go up. It's like Yes! I not only didn't gain, or stay them same but I lost so I can just keep it going! Sounds like a great workout schedule!

Thanks ladies!! Had a really good food day today, ate to plan. Also had good weigh in/measurements at the gym!! Lost 2cms off each arm, 6cms off my waist... everywhere else was pretty negligible, except my hips which went up 1cm... which is ok, I am trying to grow dat ass. So was pretty happy overall! And there was only a 1.2kg difference between today and 10 weeks ago when they were last taken so pretty happy, means that muscle mass is increasing!

Don't really have plans tomorrow... have pilates tomorrow night but not much going on the rest of the day! Just chillin I think. Might go and do some shopping or something.

Playing with my calories a bit this week... the aim is to be 600g down by next Mon, we shall see.

Food plan for tomorrow

B PB chia pudding
S Hummus, carrots
L 2 rashers bacon, 2 eggs
S 100g anchovy stuffed olives, camembert cheese
D 100g rump steak, gravy, GF roll, mixed veg

Exercise 1hr pilates

Having watched 210 pounds wither themselves away, I too get greatly confused as to how the scale works. Early on the weirdness was the difference between losing a pound a week or 5. And so it didn't really matter. Now, you sometimes lose when you think things are bad or gain or plateau when you think things are going well.

So the measurements are quite helpful. Interesting your aiming for more junk in da trunk. Nice work on the slim down even if you're not sure how you did it. Exercise does some nice things from time to time.
