Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Hi Lucy, glad you had a chance to reassure A. It had taken me by surprise too when I realised how G had been thinking. Women are so much more used to talking about things, but most men keep their feelings bottled up. Your night out won't have done any long-term damage & we continue to learn about ourselves. All good xoxo Cate

Yesterday was TERRIBLE. After Sunday being relatively good I thought I'd be ok, but when I went to bed I was seriously over-tired (didn't get to sleep till around 11, even though I went to bed around 9) then I slept in till 8.30 (would've slept later but one of my cats jumped on my full bladder so that was it for me!) then I was just too tired all day. I had breakfast (not my planned muesli, had baked oats as I hadn't eaten it on Sunday) then seeing what the time was I decided to have my morning tea then too... then I was craving something sweet so decided I'd have my cheat meal for lunch, made protein ice-cream with PB and protein PB cups which wasn't hugely awful. Then it kind of snowballed from there- I ate crackers with hummus, again not too bad, then got into the pineapple lumps that Wade had left out... thought that was it, then I wanted something savoury again so I had a few of my GF wraps with ham. Then husband came home and made burritos of which I had 2 small ones, and then had more pineapple lumps (these are chocolate covered plastic-y lollies BTW, not pineapple). Easily would have had 4000ish calories yesterday! And I did nothing all day, didn't even shower (yuck, made my food hangover so much worse today!). Never ever ever doing that again, felt even worse this morning than I did on Sunday after drinking! Had a pretty bad sleep too, went to bed at midnight but it took FOREVER for me to sleep then I woke up at 8.

Anyhoo... PT was really rough this morning, had no energy and he felt like punishing me after confessing my sins haha. Did a HIIT leg workout, then had a massage and now I'm feeling a little more human again. I have physio this afternoon at 3.15 too so can't just slob around the house for the rest of the day! Food has been perfect because I haven't been hungry, I've just been forcing myself to eat my planned meals and get right back on track. Really going to try to go to bed at a decent hour tonight, and really want the rest of the week to be perfect! 6 perfect days, I've got this!!!

Food for today

B Baked blueberry and cherry oatmeal
Post workout Protein ice-cream with 40g PB
L Stir fry with squid, 1/2 cup brown rice, 2 cups veg
S 2 hard boiled eggs
D 2 turkey sausages, 2 cups veg

Exercise HIIT leg PT session that made me want to vomit and die.

Thanks Mystic, I know you're right. It's just awful feeling incredibly jiggly and stomach-achy!!

Doing better today anyway, yesterday and today have been perfect... actually was pretty busy today! PT at 9.15, then I decided to do a double and did Pilates straight after. Got home and did a bit of food preppy stuff and had lunch, then did some cleaning. I've got all my meals for tomorrow sorted out as I work an hour north tomorrow (grr) and it's a full day... so with traffic I'm looking to leave around 7.30am (it starts at 9) and then finishes at 5pm, so I probably won't get home till 6.30. Because I'm only supposed to work a half day though I get Friday off. Just a pain as my husband actually has tomorrow off and I won't be home at all! That's life I guess, he starts holidays after Sat anyway.

Well, tomorrow if I make it home in time I'll do yoga at 6.30pm, but I think that's probably about the time I'll get home so not too optimistic. Also I'm packing stuff to take tomorrow so I've switched a few of my meals around- since tomorrow is a non exercise day I'd normally have meat/veg for lunch but I don't have any way to keep it cool... so having salad for breakfast, then my breakfast for morning tea followed by both my snacks. Ha.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Salad with chicken and fetta (I can already feel the husbands WTF expression)
S Baked apple oatmeal
L Smoothie
S Protein bar
D 2 turkey sausages, 2 cups veg

Exercise Potentially yoga, but likely nothing.

Errr what a boring day. Got through it fine though, perfect day 3 down.

Really long car trip this morning, there was a heavy fog over the whole city so the drive that normally takes less than an hour took us 2. We were pretty late (so were others) and flights were delayed etc. Glad it's over, and now I have tomorrow off!! Didn't get to yoga, wasn't expecting to though.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 1/2 cup muesli, 150g yogurt, 1/3 cup berries
Post workout PB protein ice-cream
L GF roll with ham, cottage cheese, tomato, lettuce
S 2 hardboiled eggs
D Pumpkin soup, bacon

Exercise PT session (chest)

Urrgh not a perfect day today. I was pretty tired this arvo, had a couple of my tiny GF rolls with cheese and then husband brought home a huge amount of cookies, I reckon I would've had around 3300ish cals today. Going to be perfect over the weekend and then kinda set a 2 week goal to try to achieve for when I go home based on that weight. My goal was originally to be 66.5 but don't think I'll get there, too fluid-y! PT was full on today though so that was something, it went for almost 90mins!!

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 eggs on toast
S Chicken salad
L Smoothie
S Protein bar
D Pumpkin soup, bacon

Exercise None

The good news is that you should be able to add a little muscle with the calorie excess coupled with the heavy workout.

Keep the chin up and tsay at it.

Haha thanks guys, it was more my choice of food that bothered me... so bloated and URGH today!! Mega food hangover. Work was painful! Did manage a perfect day today though!!! Going to get another one in tomorrow, got to stop these slips from happening as I seem to go one step forward, two steps back.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Baked apple oatmeal
S Chicken salad
L Smoothie
S Protein bar
D 2 turkey sausages, pumpkin soup

Exercise None! Just work tomorrow.

Perfect day again today!! Though I still have a feeling weigh in tomorrow is going to be awful, I still feel bloated from the crazy oreo fiasco the other day. Yuck. Never again. Just going to weigh in and roll with it though, it's frustrating but I know I haven't gained any real weight. Whatever I weigh in at tomorrow I should still be able to get down to 66.5kg by the time I leave (2 weeks!!) which is the goal I'm setting, and I'd love to be 66kg when I get home (in 1 month). After that... I will see what I want to do! When I go home I'm planning to join the local gym just for a month so I can go to unlimited classes for the 2 weeks I'm there.

Anyway... here's the plan for the week.

Mon Metafit, abs
Tue PT (legs), massage, physio
Wed PT (push/pull), pilates
Thu Body balance (I love this instructor, she is Swedish and has the most gorgeous relaxing voice!), work 1-5
Fri PT (HIIT), work 11-3
Sat Work 11-4
Sun Work 11-4

I think I might even skip the cheat meal this week, we'll see. If I have a moment where I absolutely MUST then I will, but I've had a couple of weeks in a row with more than 1 cheat so it definitely wouldn't hurt.

Also been experimenting with making gummy lollies, they've come out SO GOOD and have barely any calories in them (only cals from the gelatin). Going to try to incorporate them into a few snacks this week.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 1/2 cup muesli, 1/3 cup raspberries, 150g yogurt
Post workout One of my experiments- PB and J protein cake
L Wrap with chicken and salad
S Vanilla and coconut gummy lollies
D 130g roast beef, 2 cups roast veg, gravy

Exercise Metafit and abs

Weighed in at 67.7 yesterday which is fine, I'm hoping to be around 67 by Mon next week and 66.5 when I leave.

Ended up having a bit of a lazy day and cheat yesterday but all good, I'm motivated to get the rest of the week perfect!

Really big leg day today!! Managed to pump out a set of 220kg leg presses too, yay!!

Ok... so less than 2 weeks till we go away now. Going to have a weigh/measure with the PT on Fri next week, I'd like to be completely perfect up till then and then will likely have my cheat Friday night. So... I need 10 perfect days in a row (including today). As in no cheat meals till Fri, it'll still be a perfect day. Really don't want to have any binges between now and leaving!

Also... I made marshmallows yesterday and ate the whole batch... which was only 75cals. Here's the recipe I used, they came out amazing!! http://purelytwins.com/2013/02/08/how-make-sugarfree-marshmallows-gelatin/ There's approx 24cals per Tbsp of gelatin, and that's the only ingredient that provides any calories. Really good as I was feeling binge-y yesterday and the batch is MASSIVE so I popped a handful in my mouth any time I wanted food. Totally making these next time I go to the movies!!

Food plan for today

B 1/2 cup muesli, 150g light Greek yogurt
Post workout PB protein ice-cream with Quest PB cups
L GF roll with 1 slice bacon, 1 egg, 2 tbsp grated cheese, tomato, mushrooms (this was AMAZING)
S 2 hard boiled eggs
D 130g roast beef, 2 cups veg

Man, you are strong! Is this like an Australian thing?

I'm assuming those marshmallows are probably not suitable for roasting?

Hey MrVee!! Because the marshmallows aren't held together with sugar I'd say roasting might be an issue- I think they'd melt well though if you kept an eye on them. I've also been experimenting on making gummy lollies which has worked really well!!! Weird as well, the glycine in gelatin is a bit of an appetite suppressant... so if I have a handful of gummies in the arvo in between snacks or something I'm just not hungry.

As for the strength... I'm my PTs strongest client, haha. It must be just me :D

Just finished up a heap of baking, a lady at work is paying me to make her some of my baked oatmeal. I made 2 big batches so she'll get half of each and I'm keeping half- I made choc banana and a batch of banana blueberry. I also made apple protein cakes (new experiment) and a batch of lemon gummies which came out really well!

Food plan for tomorrow

B Blueberry banana baked oats
Post workout 1 Protein ball
Post workout 2 Apple protein cake
L GF roll with chicken and salad
S 2 hard boiled eggs
D 2 turkey sausages, 2 cups veg baked in a mixture of cottage cheese/parmesan/mozzarella

Exercise PT session (back), pilates

Wow, great job on the leg presses!
Those marshmallows sound interesting! Might have to try them.
Good luck on 10 perfect days!

Yesterday was a perfect day, so 1 down 9 to go.

PT was tough as always, haha had a few of the other PTs come up to me today and say' Ohh, you're 220 girl' from my leg press yesterday. Cracked me up! Husband came to pilates afterward and he did really well, I think it was MUCH harder than he was expecting but he was a good sport. Got home and had a bit of a feast, had my apple protein cake which was pretty damn good then had lunch almost straight away. Watching American Ninja Warrior now, no plans for the rest of the day! Though I should wash my hair as I won't have the chance tomorrow.

I'm considering doing boxing and body balance tomorrow, depending on how sore my upper body is. Also husband might tag along, we'll see.

Food plan for tomorrow

B GF roll with 1 slice bacon, 1 egg (totally my fav meal right now)
Pre workout (if I do boxing as well) 4 Brazil nuts
Post workout Apple protein cake
L Salmon, sweet potato and veg
S Smoothie
D 2 turkey sausages, vege bake

Exercise Boxing, body balance

Perfect day 2 down, 8 to go!

Didn't do much the rest of the day. Ended up baking my turkey sausages into the veg bake which was so good, I made the best tomato sauce for it and topped it with cottage cheese and mozzarella. Yum!
