Being a responsible adult! Weight loss n stuff...

Cute kitty! You look great!
Awesome job on 2 perfect days! I have to do some food prep soon too. Maybe tomorrow I will do some.

Perfect day 3 down, 4 to go till my first weigh in!

Ok, so technically on the outside today didn't look perfect. Ended up having my cheat meal for dinner, had 200g co yo, 1 cup homemade muesli, and 2 small homemade protein muffins. Got snacky at around 3pm and that happened, I stopped myself, I went to my exercise class still then just had a protein shake when I got home. Back to it tomorrow, and when I go out for dinner on Fri I'll just be having grilled chicken and salad. All good! I'm allowed a cheat so making it a perfect day. Besides, doubt I would've gone over maintenance.

Finished all my food prep and that's all cleaned up, so YAY! Gym class was tough, so yay? Haha.

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre workout) 4 Brazil nuts
B Protein shake, Strawberry oatmeal bake
S 1/3 avocado, 2 buckwheat crackers
L Meatloaf, 1/2 cup brown rice, 2 cups roast veg mix
S 2 hardboiled eggs, carrot and celery sticks
D 130g chicken breast, soup

Exercise 30mins PT, 50min walk to work

After gym in the morning I'll do some uni work, then I work 1-5pm.

I love having meals in the freezer for lunches at the office. Although to be fair the only things I make with the intent to freeze are treats!

You're looking great! Love the dress and your legs are looking strong! As a runner I admire that :)

Oaks, I actually LOVE to cook... I just don't have the time to do it every day anymore. I still do little bits of prep here and there during the fortnight, or I'll prepare a carb/veg side dish to go with my pre-cooked meat... I just love the convenience and also means I'm not doing many dishes during the week :D I love that dress too, it's from and you can't really tell from the pic, but it's navy blue with white bows all over it. I love that it's a UK store because as we go into summer here, they are going in to winter so I get everything on sale when it's end of season! Plus not many people in Aus have heard of the brand, I've never seen anyone wearing anything I got from there before.

Gym was brutal today, we did chest/back/shoulders and seemed to get an impossible amount done in the 30mins. Legs are really fatigued from my Mon-Wed sessions (lots of jump squats, body weight stuff, bulk skipping rope last night) so bit of a break today, then legs tomorrow. Urgh. Definitely leaner though, even after all the food I ate yesterday PT today says it's already noticeable and I can see it in the gym mirrors that I have more of a waist. The rest of this week will be perfect too, I'm sure I'll be losing close to a kg!

Yay, 4 perfect days down and 3 to go! Also, canceled dinner plans in favour of a movie that husband wants to see... all good though, means I have no opportunity to cheat! So movie tomorrow night and bumping dinner plans to next week when I can have a cheat meal. I'm getting pretty sore and tired though, so glad that tomorrow is my last gym day for the week! Also don't need to walk to work for the rest of the week either, so YAY FOR REST!

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre workout) 4 Brazil nuts, (post workout) protein shake
B 1/2 cup muesli, 60g coconut, 1/3 cup frozen berries, 1/4 cup carton coconut milk
S Wrap with chicken, carrot, cucumber, tomato, spinach, maybe some cottage cheese
L Green smoothie
S 2 hard boiled eggs, cucumber and carrot sticks
D Some kind of vege burger or something (will buy on the way home from work tomorrow) with my homemade veg soup (which is totally awesome by the way!!!)

Exercise 30mins PT (legs... argh!)

Work 11-3 tomorrow, husband has the next two days off too so I won't be home alone.

Perfect day 5 down, 2 to go!!

Errrrrrrrr I slept weird or something last night, my neck has been killing me all day!! Lucky I have a chiropractor appt. tomorrow morning anyway. Work was also very boring, which has made me sleepy again. Husband thinks he's getting sick, he's sore and really tired too. Going to the movies to watch Chappie soon, hopefully he won't fall asleep!!!

I don't know if I wrote this above or not (and honestly, I'm too tired to bother scrolling back up :D) For Easter I'm making my own chocolate rocky road as a cheat meal instead of getting Easter chocolate. I wouldn't normally do this as Easter is once a year and I enjoy chocolate, just don't want to be bogged down by all the sugar in the middle of the challenge I'm in! I grabbed a couple of things for it today, I'm using freeze dried raspberries instead of Turkish delight, making my marshmallows with stevia and gelatine, bought raw cacao and cashew butter for the chocolate part and I already have nuts and coconut for roasting. Awesome, I think it'll be fun to make and will hopefully taste pretty damn good too!!

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. light cottage cheese, GF wrap
S Vege burger, homemade soup
L Smoothie, might do this with blueberries
S 2 crackers, 1/3 avocado
D 130g chicken breast, 2 cups mixed roast veg

Exercise If I get up early enough I might go for a 30-40min walk

Good morning all!!

I was good at the movies last night, had a 750ml bottle of sparkling water and a mint tea. Didn't really like the movie though, but guess that happens every now and then!

I've just come back from a walk, went for about 30mins. I'm pretty sore and tired from the week but proud of myself that I got here!!! Had a massive sleep last night, we went to bed before 9pm and woke up just after 6am this morning. Just organising myself for the day now, I have chiropractor at 930 but after that we are getting coffee from my fav little café and going straight to work. They do their own nut milk there and the blend is soooo nice, it's cashew/almond/sunflower seeds and it's so creamy! I work 11-4, expecting it to be quiet and boring... then when I get home I'll be prepping husbands lunches for the week. Yay. Haha, my meal prepping never stops!

Can't wait for weigh in, 2 days to go!

Perfect day 6 down, 1 to go!! YAY!!!!!!

Had my chiropractor appt. this morning which made me feel 1000x better, my neck is all good again. Went out for coffee and to the health food shop afterward, bought some stuff to make my vegetarian meals more interesting (I have 2 a week). I bought chickpea tempeh which I thought sounded cool, also got good ole trusty black bean pasta which I used to eat a lot and falafel. Got a couple of new teas for my collection too!

Work was super dead, AGAIN. It sucks, the days draaag on. Oh well, just got to get through tomorrow and it's all good.

B Oatmeal bake
S 130g chicken breast, 2 cups mixed veg
L Green smoothie
S 40g hummus, carrot and cucumber
D Meatloaf, soup

Exercise 30ish min walk

Yay, up to the end of my first week!!!! I'm so insanely proud of myself, there's no way I'm going to let myself mess up today.

I went for a walk this morning and was taking the shorter way home but missed the traffic light, didn't want to wait the 2 minutes for it to change again so walked around the longer way home. Haha. Just meant a 40min walk instead of a 30min one. Wade is home today and he's giving me a lift to work and back so that makes my life way easier, YAY! He has tomorrow off too, unsure whether we'll be doing anything or not.

I think that I'll actually just take a moment here to say how happy I am right now- work is boring, yes, but it's paying the bills and I like the people I work with. I love what I'm studying even though it's freakin hard and feels like I'm learning a few different languages at the same time (I'm looking at you, biochem and anatomy!) I feel like I have a better relationship with my sisters again after seeing them and can't wait to go home in the middle of the year and see everyone! Also I feel so healthy at the moment and slimmer than I have for a really long time. So just thought I'd put that bit of positivity out into the universe!

I haven't been to see the Dr about my weird stomach feeling yet, it's still there even though it doesn't cause any issues... at it's worst it feels like a stitch, but mostly it feels like a dull and almost unnoticeable feeling in my hip. I think I'm going to go get checked out tomorrow though, to me it feels muscular but I mentioned it to someone at work yesterday and they had a bladder infection that started the same way and left it for months (I've left this for about 2 months now, was waiting till my sisters left then it was never really annoying enough for me to bother seeing anyone). Really should get it sorted, at least to check it's not a hernia or something (which I'm 90% sure it's not, since I've had this and been checked for that before. It went away by itself before though). So that'll be probably half my morning gone!

Anyhoo... thought I'd put down tomorrows food plan now, then I won't have to write tonight and I can just come back tomorrow morning like BOOM with my awesome weigh in (uhh, fingers crossed. But my week has been SPOTLESS! Goal this week was to be 67.3kgs, but secretly I'm hoping for 67 flat... anything beginning with 66 will make me jump up and down like a crazy person)

Food for tomorrow

B 1/2 cup muesli, 1/4 cup nut milk, 1/3 cup frozen raspberries, 60g coconut yogurt
S 2 crackers, 1/3 avocado
L Wrap with beef meatloaf, cucumber, tomato, spinach, cottage cheese and sauerkraut
S 100g berries, 40g cashews
1/2 D (pre workout) 2 cups stir fry veg mix, 130g chicken breast
1/2 D (post workout) Sweet potato protein cake

Exercise Walk to dr and back in the morning (approx. 30mins total), 30min zuu class at night

Other than your stomach thing that all sounds great! Great week, great job (even if it is boring), great people, great school stuff. All sounds great!

Haha thanks Mystic, life is pretty great right now!!

I totally had to come back and write, 7 perfect days down!!!! Actually got in an extra walk too as I decided to go to the doctor tonight, save me doing it tomorrow. Was a bit of a waste of time, I now know I don't have a hernia or a kidney infection/UTI, which I suppose is good, but he thinks it's a muscular thing and wants me to get my hip x-rayed. Honestly don't know if I'll bother or not, I don't know. I've been exercising with it the few months and it hasn't caused any issues and I really don't want to stop exercising. Guess I'll just go back if it gets worse or if it's still there in a month. My blood pressure is pretty awesome by the way, 120/64.

Ohh hey I'm climbing a mountain on Sat morning before work next week!! ...I think it'll be really early too. I agreed to it without thinking, my husband asked and I reminded him I had work at 11 and he said it was cool because we will be back by 8-9am... but I thought about it after and this mountain is about 4-5hours total climb to the top and down again. So... guessing the people he's going with want to go and see the sun rise? It's over a 30min drive there too, so does that mean getting up at 3am for a 5hour walk on one of my only rest days? Yikes. Haha. I've wanted to do it for a while though and my husbands coworkers want to meet me.

Also thought I'd post some food pics, I made a couple of those sweet potato protein cakes as post workout snacks for tomorrow and the next day, here's the recipe again for 1 cake (I doubled it)- 1/2 cup cooked sweet potato(130g), 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein, 2 egg whites, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla, stevia, 1/2 tsp baking powder. Blend it all together and bake 20mins at 180C. I iced them with smooth ricotta, a drop of nut milk and a couple of vanilla stevia drops.

They fluffed up HEAPS this time, last time I mashed the ingredients together but this time I blended them. They are pretty massive looking too, made them in mini loaf pans. Each one is single serve.

Arrgh. Exactly 67.9kgs so no scale loss. For whatever reason I must be retaining fluid because my waist has shrunk HEAPS this week. I know I've lost weight. Guess I'll just be waiting for a big loss next week :D

Also a bikini I ordered arrived and it's the most amazing pair I've ever had, and they fit really well!!! Going away mid April for a couple of days with ladies from work so I'll be using it then!

I loved reading your positive post & life seems to be good for you right now. I would get an x-ray just to be sure. You will have a good drop this week for sure. Great that you are feeling so slim. Bikini, hey? Good for you Lucy! xo

Wow, that climb sounds crazy (early!)
Your food looks yummy! Makes my crave a cinnamon bun or something (something loaded with icing!)
That's awesome on the 7 perfect days!

I love a good hike, but part of what I love is getting to come home and relax afterwards! But seeing the sunrise does sound nice, I've never gotten up a mountain early enough for that.
