Back... with a Vengeance!

Well I only have I guess the whole beginners pack. It comes with 2 DVDs with 5 different workout segments on it.
Learn & Burn, 20minute Workout, Ab Jam, Cardio Party, Turbo Sculpt.

So far.. I really enjoy the 20minute Workout b/c well... other than the Learn & Burn it's the easiest for me to do plus it's only 20minute :p lol
It does take a bit getting used to, but I like it so far :) Plus it helps that in all of the workouts there are always 2 girls that are doing less intense/alternative moves so you can do it that way instead of jumping around like the rest of them hehe.
You could always visit the beachbody forums and ask ppl which Turbo Jam workout they like best. Alot of the ppl there have the advanced workouts.


So... I did Cardio Party today! I tryed to keep up as much as possible, but MAN O MAN... It's so hard to keep any energy after 10-20minutes into it. I really hate having to stop and basically just stand there b/c I just can't lift my knee up again. Need... More... Patience!!! lol :p
Also did 20minutes on treadmill.
I dunno what's wrong with my feet but they're starting to get that aching feeling like they'd get if I was standing on them for too long. Maybe it was b/c I did cardio party... *shrugs* I dunno.

Blisters are almost fully healed :) They don't even hurt anymore so I haven't even noticed them.

I don't think I'm gonna be doing my exercises tomorrow... SIGH.
I'm a bit lactose intolerant, BUT I want to eat this kashi cereal we got a few days ago b/c of the fiber in it... plus it's just yummy.
Sometimes milk doesn't bother me at all. I can drink it and be totally fine, but then others.. I'll get like this where it causes me to well... have to visit the bathroom every 30minutes.

I've already tryed Soy Milk.. before anyone suggests it :p heh And it was about the grossiest thing I've ever had. It was just... bleh.. makes me gag just thinking about it. The consistancy was like slimy milk. It coated your mouth and sorta just slid down your throat. *pukes*


Anywho! Hopefully I've emptied out my system though so I can finally head to bed!

Cal count for the day was once again about 1600-1800 since I finished up my kimchi soup with a nice big bowl of rice and some seaweed sheets :)
 
Welp... No exercise today.
I decided to sleep in b/c I got to bed so late and couldn't stay asleep for anything.
However!! Since I'm not exercising today... I will be tomorrow (Saturday) :)
Guess I just switched a rest day for this week heh.

Oh and weighed myself and I'm still at 222. Which kinda sucks but at least it didn't go up :p hehe
 
hey hun, did you try vanilla soy milk? cause i tried the regular and it made me wanna hurl, but then i tried vanilla and it tasted great!
 
I really can't remember what kind I tryed. I just remember that it was Soy Milk and the texture of it made me want to vomit. So I'm not sure if just making it vanilla would help heh. I don't remember the taste being bad, just the texture.
If I can find a small container of it though I might give it a try :)

But.. I did my exercises today! YAY!
I know before.. if I had skipped a day, there was NO way I would've made up for it on a rest day.
But I got up and went straight to the bathroom where I put on my workout clothes :)
It was good too cause I actually got a good night's sleep for a change heh.

Did 20minute workout, 10mins of Ab Jam, and 30min treadmill :D

Foor today could've been alot better but I've just had that extreme hunger feeling all day long so snacked a bit more than I should've.

Cal about 1500-1800
 
What is it with weekends and bad eating!! Grrrrr....

I'm so mad at myself right now b/c I gave in to late night eating!! :mad: Not snacking mind you... but eating something that would be a meal.
I ate a can of spaghetti-O's and just..... *SIGH*......

I know.. baby steps... and we're all gonna make mistakes, but it still sucks when it happens.. ya know?
 
Hey amunet!! Don't worry bout having a few crappy days, trust me, I'm in total understanding right now... :( Anyways, I'm trying to get back into this, so hopefully I'll see ya more often :)

Which is surprising b/c I went to bed an hour after I usually do but still woke up around the same time.
I'm not complaining though :)

So I cheated a bit this morning and couldn't help but weigh myself. I'm not recording it but it was delightful to see.
It read 220 :D I just hope that weight sticks til friday! Oooo or better yet... I hope it goes down by Friday!! WOO
 
Just got done with my workouts about 10mins ago and I kicked low impact booty! rofl
I had to do Cardio Party again today and I lasted alot longer than before and picked up alot more of the moves which is fantastic!!
My right foot did start cramping during the last little bit of it which sucked but it went away fairly quickly.
I also did 30minutes on the treadmill even though i started getting a cramp at about 10minutes into it.
I must not be getting enough potassium or something. Heh that's always what I hear people say to get more of if you get cramps in your feet and such. *shrugs*

ANywho! I'm feeling great right now!

Not really looking forward to tomorrow's workout or Fridays (Turbo Sculpt), but that's only b/c the workouts are still new to me and difficult to keep up with.
It's alright though... I'm gonna do them and build up these flabby muscles!
 
great job with the workouts! and i totally know how you felt this weekend...they are the bane of my healthy eating!!!! but somehow if i work out in the morning it helps a bit... plus I got drunk on Sat nite and wanted to order a whole pizza and consume it! but luckily my boyfriend told me over and over again to not do it- I was sooooo pissed at him that night, but the next morning--i couldnt help but thank him!! (p.s.-I was drunk at the time that I wanted to eat the pizza...note to self...must stay away from the drunk munchies!)
 
Lol... I would say I miss getting drunk but I don't :p heh
I used to drink alot when I was younger and now.. I just can't stand the taste or smell of alcohol at all any more. Bad experiences have completely turned me off from it.

Anywho.... it's WAY past my bedtime but just wanted to come in and report my cal intake for today.
It was baaaaad. Dernit. I just couldn't resist the homemade gorditas again! lol We really need to buy one of the other kits that aren't SO heavy in calories hehe.
It's just so yummy though!!
Tomorrow's eating will be better though b/c I'm fixing my spicy hot korean seafood dish again! WOOHOO! I'm gonna tear it up! :D

Ok so last night wasn't really a good night's rest but surprisingly I wasn't really tired this morning. Probably b/c I was freezing my butt off (wish that was literal heh) and couldn't really get back to sleep.
I tryed going to sleep, but didn't actually get to sleep sleep until 2hrs later. I'll probably be uber tired later tonight though so it's ok :)

Welp... today is Turbo Sculpt and Ab Jam. So... hmm... total workout time doing that should be about 40mins then hopefully 30min treadmill.

I dunno what I'm gonna do next week. The schedule they give you only goes for 4 weeks and this is my 4th (can't believe I've stuck with it for this long.. yay :) )

I guess I'm gonna go ahead and do weeks 3 and 4 over and over again until maybe I'm comfy enough to make my own schedule, or follow the advanced one they give.

Okay, so not to try to pressure you :D :D (or indoctrinate you!) into my vegetarian (wanna be vegan) ways, but the type/brand makes ALL the difference TRUST me! There are brands I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, and there are brands I adore! You might want to try out a few more types, and see if it was just the one brand. (Boyfriend drinks Silk like there's no tomorrow, his mother swears by 8th Continent...).

If you really hate them all, and want something other than milk, take a look at rice milk (or almond milk, or oat milk, or a million other versions). The consistency is COMPLETELY different. I would recommend trying versions that ARE NOT fortified with vitamins etc - I find that rice milk at least is too thin to support the fortification and it tastes funny. If you find a brand you like unfortified, then check if the fortified version is as good (this doesn't apply to soymilk though).

Heh.. well we haven't gone grocery shopping again yet, but thanks for reminding me to look for soy milk. I'll definitely stay away from the one I had. I dunno the name of it but when I see it I'll know. :D


Oh yeah forgot to report on my exercise today!
Welp... I did 30minutes of Turbo Sculpt. Lots of standing around though feeling like my legs and arms were about to fall off. It'll get better just like everything else :)
Also did 10min Ab Jam and then 30min treadmill!
Woot!! hehe

Be patient with me, I'm just figureing out this whole thread/posting thing, but I wanted to drop you a note. Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement. It definitely helps.

Your workouts sound great - and congratulations for sticking with them! I am definitely a fan and exercise campaigner. I have found I sleep better, and feel better all around. Happier, because of the endorphins. And not only is it good for your health, I use it when I need to re-center myself, and not think about anything, to relieve stress. It's great.

Keep it up! It only gets better...
