Down 2 lbs this morning to 208. That's an even 8 stone lost, 112 lb or almost 51 kg down to date.
that’s amazing Rob. Well done!

fun way to start the day, no? unfortunately it made me wonder how set the US ... or at least a part of it ... would be prepared for a catastrophe on top of a pandemic..... we had an earthquake this morning. ...
In non-virus news we had an earthquake this morning. I was sitting at my desk and suddenly the room started moving, a very startling sensation, interesting way to start the day.
Yeah, it is hard not to be distracted by the corona news, but we need to try and not let it keep us from getting exercise and eating well. Nothing we can do about the virus, but we can do something for our health.
Rob, you are an inspiration to all of us. 8 stone lost. That is more than my Mum weighed at her heaviest!Ain't nothing going to break your stride! I admire that.
Please be careful. The virus can stay active for some days on hard surfaces. The manager did get a very strongly worded letter from the Health Department urging her to close, but not requiring it. She has posted copies everywhere and makes sure we all read it so we can make our own decisions. Its the same letter sent to all the gyms. The risk sure seems less than going to the store.
They seem to, lots of air exchange, makes the place pretty cold, but probably safer.About the gym: I hope they air the place both thoroughly and regularly as well.
Hey Petal, always good to hear from you, and never worry about missing a day. Just seeing you here when you have the time is a pleasure. I am happy here, having y'all as friends is better than an award. I don't need to be man of the anything. But thanks for pointing it out.I am sorry I don't know how I didn't post on your diary yesterday.
Ha, you should know, San Diego gets a lot more earthquakes than we do. Thanks for pointing out how the 200s have gone by so quickly, had not thought of it that way.fun way to start the day, no?
It probably is, just my luck finally losing weight and the world is ending! Didn't know about the locusts, that probably proves it!Maybe it really is end of days, there's a plague of locusts in the Middle East and Africa.
Thanks Cate, but as you may have noticed I am a bit uncomfortable being anybody's inspiration. I'd rather think of it as a team thing, we have all inspired each other, you have been a great help to me.an inspiration to all of us
Thanks Cory, and I am happy to see your bright shining face posting again. Hope you will be back often.I'm so happy to see you still making progress
I have heard that, I suspect that the gym surfaces are probably the safest I encounter. Getting sprayed with disinfectant over and over again has to be good. When I compare it to going to the bank or a store things seem a whole lot more controlled, and no more people, actually fewer. So far we have only one confirmed case in town, and it was someone who contracted the virus in Salt Lake (50+ miles away). Of course it's likely the vast majority of people infected have not been tested, so I'm not sure what that statistic is worth. The virus can stay active for some days on hard surfaces
Good question, I prefer the outdoor things, but for the past few weeks our weather has been too cold so the gym is where I have been. I think that will change as it warms up. I honestly don't like dieting much, but have come to accept it as something I have to do, and have now been at it long enough that its not the struggle it once was. I do enjoy the process of being here and getting support for my dieting. I like my new forum friends. What do you enjoy the most?

Yeah, a sad thing.Nicking the spray bottles? I'm not even surprised at this point, which makes it worse.
Yes not surprised either. They are next to impossible to find where I am.someone is stealing the antiseptic spray bottles.
That's too bad Rob. But yes you'll be all ready to go when things are back to normal! And on the Bird Refuge volunteer thing, after the feds took 6 weeks to decide my background was clear and that I am moral enough to consort with the pelicans they shut the volunteer program down because of the virus. My first day was to be next week. I guess it will come back, someday.

It is a team thing & I really like being here too. I think it's a great thing we have going in the forum & I hope we never lose that community feeling.I'd rather think of it as a team thing, we have all inspired each other,
Thanks Liza, a good way to look at it.Well at least you'll enter the new world a new slimmer you!
A very rational way to look this thing Petal. We have lost 5 people in road deaths here in Ireland in the last couple of days . 2 to coronavirus so far. Perhaps we need to ban cars.
Thanks Emily, I hope so.the pelicans will be waiting for you when things get back to normal
Yes, it would be a very inconvenient time for things to end, for me anyway!Yeah, it would be a real shame if it was the end of times just when you've dropped all that weight
I agree completely, perhaps we can just call it an inspirational team.It is a team thing & I really like being here too. I think it's a great thing we have going in the forum & I hope we never lose that community feeling.
