Congrats Laurel!! :D You are wearing smaller pants than my hubby and hes a stick!!! LOL *envious sigh* :D LMAO about Pierre!!! Did he realize the person was serious or did he blow it off????!! LOL I bet theres a bald spot where the comment flew over his head! :rolleyes:
 
I'm so glad the nurse noticed! That is so funny that your doctor is trying to get weight loss advice from you! :D I hope the IUD works for you. Sometimes I wish I had went a route like that instead of agreeing to what hubby did. There is a part of me that want's another baby so badly that I can't stand it. Why? I don't know. We have 3!!

Hi all!
OK - off to the gym for the third day in a row. I'm so sore! I'm not at all motivated especially because it is a Spin class. Ugh! That class can be so boring. A great work-out, but a bit too easy to slack your way through. Better go get myself and my girls ready to go - *sigh*
 
Hey Laurel!! Congrats on the smaller pants!! Pierre is so crazy!! Do they really wear those shirts? I'd use mine to wipe sweat or something! lol..
 
Hey Laurel! At those boring workouts, just keep thinking about how you are so close to your goal! You have done such a great job even with all of the problems you have had.
 
Hi all! Three kick-ass workouts in a row nearly did me in! I'm so sore. I just used yesterday as a recovery day. Today I might swim. Does anyone else swim? I am blown away by how weak I feel when I swim!! I can run for 45 min., but after 10 straight minutes of swimming I feel like begging for the lifeguard to save me!!! Actually, today I'm taking my four year old to a children's symphony. fun fun!
 
Hey Laurel! I would love to swim but I just don't seem to ever have the time to go to the pool and I haven't worn a bathing suit in public in YEARS!! I used to go to a water aerobics class many years ago and I loved it! It can be a better workout than you would think.
 
I have to agree...we had a pool when I was growing up and I was skinny as a rail...we would swim on and off all day...racing laps and such. I could also eat whatever I wanted! SO when we moved and i continued to eat, but not swim...I started to gain weight and I finally realized I needed to move and stop filling my face full of junk! Now I get in the pool and feel like a lead balloon! It is an incredible full body workout!
 
Great job with the workouts! You are totally motivating me to workout once my back is OK. Hope you had a great time at the symphony. Keep going - you've come a long way!
 
Hi all! They symphony was great! My daughter and I had a blast. Then in the p.m. we went for a long walk together. I actually got a bit of a work out! She kept up and never complained about it. I was proud of her! She's turning into a really neat person. Who woulda thought????? Her sister, on the other hand, is driving me nuts! She's 2 and an emotional roller coaster!

I am continuing with things. I just am not writing down my food, but I'm eating well and exercising well. Just got a bit burned out of logging it all.

In July I'm doing Group Personal Training two days a week. I'm a bit scared! My regular Tues./Thurs. teacher is going to train us as a group, go over our food for the week, weigh us, etc. She says she guarantees we'll lose some weight. Should be fun! That'll be the month of July, so we'll see. I'd sure like to be down at 145 by the end of summer. Then worry about maintenance from then on. Yay!
 
It' s hard to believe how easily bad habits creep back in, isn't it?? Yesterday, I brought my lunch to work. Well, when my principal told me to come w/ her to the sixth grade BBQ: I just went! I ate a burger and a ton of fruit (no chips or soda or dessert). But I felt like crap! I ate so much fruit! Then last night we BBQ'd again and had corn. I haven't had corn in so long! I buttered it up without even thinking. I was so full and just felt awful afterwards. It's crazy - it's like you can never let your guard down. I started freaking out that I was going to be back up at 152. Ugh! I'm losing it!!!!

Today - I'm off to the gym this morning. I'm going to try to achieve some sort of balance, but I still want to lost 6 lbs. Although yesterday the scale said 150, but you know me! I always think it's just a fluke until I see a weight for 2 or 3 weigh-ins! LOL!
 
The fact that you avoided chips and desserts is what you should remind yourself of. I LOVE chips. Anything salty is my weakness. You did a great job avoiding the worst pitfalls. And you're right, balance is the key so don't worry about one bad day. You are amazing and have had so many great days! Make today another one!!!!

I know what you mean about the bad habits! I sometimes find myself doing the same thing! :rolleyes: We can beat this! :D
 
OK - I didn't understand that at all, HH!! What is Page 3??

Anyhow, I'm here. Today is the last day of school and I'm off till the end of August. I can't believe it!! I'm excited to be off of work, but I'm going to die for 10 wks. alone with my children. What am I going to do with them all day every day? My two days of work maintain my sanity and keep me loving my children. Ugh!

OK - so I did one hour of cycle/spin yesterday. Our teacher kills us a bit more each week. I can't believe what a hard work-out that class is. Other spin classes can't even compare. I don't even feel like marking them down as the equivalent to one of Susie's classes.

Sorry - no Pierre stories this week. I worked on Wed., so I didn't attend his class. I'm sure I'll hear about it next week. I thought about going last night, but I went swimming instead wtih my kids.

Food-wise, I haven't been perfect. I'm not gaining, but I did have a brownie last night and popcorn for lunch. Ouch! I haven't done that in a long time.
 
Page 3 in the diary thread! Lol! You know how it is on page 1 right after you have posted in it. Well, if you don't post for a while, you go to page 2 when there are other diaries with a more recent post. You know what I mean! :p Good job on the exercise! Don't worry about that brownie. You are so close to your goal and you have been soooo good! :D
