A new start for MommyOf2!!

I'm sorry about your back, I hope it lets you get back to your programme soon, congrats on your weight loss!!!!:D

Hello Sista Friend! Came to check on ya, looks like you've been more MIA than I have. hehe

Sorry to hear about your back. Ouch!!! Is it getting better?

153 eh? You go girl! I'm so proud of you. You're doing it. I bet you are looking amazing.

Looking forward to seeing you when you get back.

Hey there! I just wanted to say hello! It looks like your still MIA.. Update us when you can! Even though I dont have a journal.. doesn't mean I dont stop in to check on you!!

So sorry to have abandoned ship for a bit! I thought of all my pals. I did lose more weight. I'm at 150! So close to moving the scale over. Yay! My back is better. I'm still going to the chiropractor, but it's better. I need to be a lot more careful.

I guess not being able to use the computer just got me out of the habit of checking in here. I'm thrilled that I was still able to lose a few lbs!

Glad to hear you've returned!! :D Missed ya! Congrats at being at 150 :D (sprinkle me with some of that magic stuff?!?!?!) Be very careful with your back! Good to know its better :D You're doin' great!

Hi all! Thanks for the encouragement!! OK ... I have to tell you. Today is a big day. It is my annual Gyn app't. (Sounds weird, but bear with me!! I haven't lost my mind!) One year ago, I went in for my annual Gyn app't and just felt terrible about myself. As I sat in the dr's office, I vowed that one year later when I returned I would be significantly smaller. And now, here we are, it's been exactly a year, and indeed I am a whopping 35 lbs. lighter!!!! I'm going to ask the nurse to show me my wweight in my chart from a year ago and I just might cry. I'm actually looking forward to my dr. seeing me naked ...well, maybe I won't go that far!!!!!! I'm looking forward to him seeing me clothed and hoping he notices (and mentions) the difference.

I swear, you all understand this better than anyone. Losing weight is such a long-term investment and you never get a break from it. Keeping track of food, exercise, water intake, etc. can just get so old so fast. I think it's important to grab moments like my Gyn app't to really celebrate the effort. Even if you haven't met all your goals, it is important to celebrate what you have accomplished. It will help you through the moments when you just want to give up.

OK - I'm off my soap box. I just had to share since it is truly a momentous day for me with respect to my weight loss! I hope you all grab those moments as I am doing and celebrate your accomplishments.

Wow--weight loss with a bad back: you really HAVE done well!

I hope your dr appointment is everything you want it to be. But if your doctor is like mine, he'll never notice, or, worse, he'll say something hurtful. Be strong and pourd. If he doesn't say anything about your weight, YOU say it. Get your props, girl; you deserve them!

Hey Laurel! I'm so glad you are back! Wish I hadn't been gone when you got back! Lol! I know what you mean about the doctor appt and the weight loss since the last one. The last time I went in to see my endo, I had lost about 20 pounds since last time I was in and he was telling me how good that was and everything. It makes you feel good when they notice and comment. I am hoping to lose more by my next appt with him, but it looks like I am going up instead of down at the moment! Anyway, congratulations on being so close to your goal!! I knew you would make it! :D

I'm new and I just read bunches of your journal. I am currently going through some major back problems. Coincided with me starting these life changes, unfortunately. You really made me feel better. Fantastic that you have kept on track and done so well!!

You are so RIGHT ON! I feel the same way about my GYN appts!!!! I gained SOOO much weight with both my pregnancies. And have had a heck of a time losing it after the 2nd. Now I am hoping that when I go back I too will be able to say "I DID IT!":D

Hi all! Thanks for the kind words. The nurse actually noticed! I told the doc and he just asked what I did to lose the weight cuz he was wanting to lose weight. Oh well! I am going to get an IUD so ... no more babies!! It's a good solution: not permanent, but will cover me for 10 years. I also bought some jeans that were 32 W and 30 L - I've never worn jeans that small.

Those who love stories of my Kickboxing teacher will like this one. He was walking into our class and someone one the treadmill said to her friend, "Oh there goes that bitch of a teacher!" He heard and announced it to the class! It was pretty classic Pierre. Oh- and people are still wearing their "Body by Pierre" shirts. Gag!
