Hey all! I'm back after a scary ride. I won't go into too many details but I do have issues with depression and I let it get the best of me and I let it contribute to a very unhealthy view of food and for a few weeks I found it difficult even to consider eating becasue I was terrified I'd just get fatter again. I feel alot better now, especially after taking a break from dieting and self loathing. I think alot of it came from my former job. I felt boxed in there, like even if I wanted to walk I couldn't because there was nobody competent enough to step up and do the job. Thankfully at the bottom of that hole I stopped caring who did my job.
I just started as a patient case manager at a small medical office, totally the opposite of what I was doing before and I love it. I work 7.5 hours a day which is a far cry from the 16-20 I was putting in at my old job. And since the doctor I work with handles alot of elderly and diabetic patients she has a staff nutritionist who has a wellness initiative in our offices so we get to weigh in, she makes dietary plans for us and evaluates our progress on a bi-monthly basis. I love her...lol.
For the last two weeks I've been holding steady at 198 lbs. I havn't been able to do any cardio because my excersize has been thwarted by the need to shovel mass amounts of snow out of my driveway twice daily (I could pay for a snow removal service but I get some good excersize doing it myself). We have had amazing amounts of snow this year.
Anyways, I just wanted to post a new thread, I'm back on the wagon and not planning on going off of it (because I want to win the office 6 month challenge). I missed ya'll. Oh, and if you were watching the news last night and heard about the tsunami warning we are all still alive...lol...my sister called me screaming and crying and freaking out telling me to go to higher ground or we were all going to die...she called from florida of all places...floridians knew about our tsunami warning before we did. Thank you alaska early warning system.
