A new start for Iwan

OK - so don't do that!!
Sit down!

I hopoe you're feeling better! And do you guys GET Spring?
;)

Randy, that was barf-fest...sorry my mistake...I know you love those too. They come directly after the bar-fest. I didn't make it to work yesterday, we had a catagory three roads advisory due to high winds, and blowing snow (read: blizzard/white out), it lasted for about 30 hours.
Spring? what is this unfamuliar exotic word you speak? Yeah, we don't get that till the end of may beginning of june. Its usually right around march that I start to wonder what insanity makes me live here...then august rolls around and I realize why. Right now I'm really trying to reminisce on august.

bad food day, we had a breakfast potluck and because everybody was stranded indoors at home yesterday it all seems to be of the grain family: muffins, alodiks (fry bread), biscotti, yam bread, bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon (that is the good stuff to, what we unagans call iskiiada candy style: old lady candy style). mmmm...still drooling thinking about it...oh wait...thats because its still sitting in my office.

sooooo:
Breakfast: 500
Lunch: 200
dinner: TBA
snacks: 500
maybe I'll just skip dinner and take a walk instead, of course, theres no where to walk or to walk to with 6-7 feet of snow lining the roads like corridors and snow drifts to the hips on the trails. I suppose my excersize for today is going to be shoveling. I have plenty of that to do. I have 56 feet X 11 feet X approx hip deep...yeah! and with a festering head cold too. I could pay a plough but last time I lost a porch in the deal. and I'm cheap.

You see this island paradise thing...its not always paradise.

Howdy Iwan,
I haven't seen ya in while and dropped by to
see how your doing?I hope you get to feeling better I think 90% of
the forum is sick with something, tomorrow will be 1 week of can't smell/
can't taste sore throat no fevers or vomit thank god!I hopw you have a nice
weekend,Tammy

Well really, I can now see where bulimics come from...it is nice eating to my hearts content (except for the part where it comes back on me) and not gaining a lbs.

Oh gag....please, lets' change the topic? LOL!

Happy Friday Iwan! I hope you are feeling better for the weekend!

Alright, I'm finally feeling better, although a bit drained. My sister came home from somewhere else, she hasn't seen me since I started dieting and today when she walked in my house at lunch she said, "holy sh##, I thought you were someone else...its so hard getting used to seeing you skinny." She's never, ever in our lives made me feel good about myself till today. She is, afterall, the sabateur who brought me a double cheeseburger with fries my first week on my diet. Maybe it wasn't on purpose and she'll never admit to it but she actually said something nice.

I have a hankering for corned beef brisket and boiled cabbage, don't ask me why. I usually only subject my digestive system to that on St. Patty's day. Ooooh, I could really go for some Guiness too! YUM!

So far today I've had
latte (137)
tea (0)
sugarfree cinnimon roll (150)
sugar snap peas (50)
more tea (0)
water (50 oz)
and if I have corned beef and cabbage of course I'll have to have bread, and guiness...so I'm going with dinner being approx 600 cals.

We had a huge snow storm here over the weekend, then it started raining so all our roads are like hot mopped ice. I shudder at having to go to the store. Yikes!

AWESOME!!!

I read through your new diary and you have a great personality... I hope you continue to reach your goals!

Oh man Iwan,
You missed a whole conversation yesterday in 12pack's diary about Guinness...I love that stuff. So much so, I had two pints last night ;)

So nice to hear your sister coughed up a nice thing to say ;) It really IS nice when they start noticing isn't it?!

Several days ago, and too many pages back to go looking for, you asked for some pictures of something green in my diary - so I took some pictures of the trail I take to every morning.

It takes roughly 40 seconds from my door to the trail (and I hope your white out conditions improve SOON!)

OH DEB!! thank you!! I really needed that (and I'd walk five miles a day too if I was looking at that view!). I can see the brown grass peeking through the deep snow, where the incessant rain is melting it away. I need a vacation, which I'm usually on this time of year but not with the new job.

We get a lot of dead scrub brush throughout the summer, and have a mix of deciduous and ever green type trees, so we have patches where it still looks like autumn.

I don't think I'd bode well in a place without green for long. :(

As it is, we've had so little rain this year (it's raining now though) that I fear fire season :\

Wow, fire season is one thing I never have to worry about. I guess every area has pro's and con's.

Last night was weird. I didn't have much time for eating yesterday and I was craving some serious corned beef and cabbage (don't ask me why). So I got my wish but it took for freakin ever to cook (I knew it, but I had to have it). I, of course snacked before dinner on raw veggies and ranch (eww), pickeled beets and a pria bar. Seriously, it took like 3 hours to cook the dinner. So by the time dinner was ready I was ravinous and gobbled down a ton of cabbage...is that bad? I ate the corned beef moderately and the dog helped. Anyways, something tells me I went over cals for the day. It makes me feel out of control. Oh, and I shared some popcorn with my son, those 100 calorie bags. I'm not a huge fan of the popped corn...gets stuck in the teeth and all.

Today is a freakin busy day. My son is sick and didn't go to school so I had to bribe my step dad to stay home with him. After work I have a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned and then I have to attend a work "dinner" at a seafood buffet. oh the torture. what to eat, what not to eat...

Oy!
so far today I've had:
coffee w/ creamer (100)
yoplait light (100)
water

its only 10:30 am here. I have all day to screw up. Why on earth does this website log me out all the time. It seems like I have to log in every other click.

click the remember me button when you login in and it should download a cookie (fat free) to your computer so it won't log you out

cabbage is good for you -but makes me gassy :D more info than you needed right/ :D

enjoy the buffet -- good luck at the dentist and hope your child feels better

Make sure you click that little box that says "remember me"

And good luck at the buffet!

Have you clicked the "Remember who i am" box? Dont feel bad about last night it was a one night thing and you are back on track today! good for you. Seafood bars are good arent they? a nice piece of salmon with some lemon juice "drool" anyways good luck! i dont know much about dieting i just found your journal interesting :p
