are you having a DJ or a band? we have to deal with that too.
lots of loose ends to figure out for a wedding, but at least all the "major" stuff is done.
how's the challenge going? i saw you got FH to the gym. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!

We have a DJ. But for now I'm just trying to select our ceremony music!! :D
 
Oh man, I don't envy you right now, Dana. I don't have to start planning my wedding until at least this summer (its planned for summerish 07 - we haven't even set a date yet :eek: ).

I'm sure you'll find some great music to play for the ceremony. I know there's a couple of peices I like, but I can't remember what they're called, and in any case, I wouldn't want to add even more options if you're all overwhelmed about it.
 
I guess a lot of us are sans dates on V.D. My husband got stuck in traffic and got home super late. I told him if he'd been another 15 min. late, I'd accuse him of taking his gf out for a Valentine dinner!!

He gave us all cards and we gave him a cute little girl book about how girls love their daddy. Very sweet! Nothing like the old days - pre kids, you know?

Well, Happy V.D. anyhow!

Hehe, I know what I really like for music, but I've made a list of 3-4 options for each section in the ceremony, i.e. prelude (when guests are seated), processional, etc. :D And I gave the list to Sid so he can decide on his selection from it. But he is SO busy. He was up at 5:15 to go to work this morning!:eek: Poor boy!

But.. g lad to hear you get some..reprieve before having to plan your wedding. It IS overwhelming at times.. but I still love it :) Its getting real exciting!
 
Mommyof2, its funny you should mention that, because my FH didn't really d o anything. He felt bad I did anything at all, but I said, I got Christmas and my birthday very close, so Valentine's Day was HIS day. And then informed him when we have kids, we'll make lil valentine's for him and that's all he's getting. lol!! :D He said that was alright by him!

So yesterday was a wee bit of a loss. I guess I"ll count that as my cheat day. :)
Exercise: 45 minutes on hill intervals w/ level 9 at 4.2 speed on treadmill
Water:112oz so far! (kickin arse on my water today!)
Breakfastwhole wheat bagel w/ light cream cheese 300 calories
Lunch:1.5 cups of corn and peas 150 caloriesapprox.
Snack: low fat pudding 100 calories
Snack: 3/4ths of a parfait yogurt from McD's, no granola, 100 calories
Exercise:30 minutes trail walking!
Dinner:pork chops in herb seasoning 289 calories
Exercise:15 minutes upper body weights
Dessert:low-fat pudding 240 Calories
Total:1179 calories

Thoughts for the day:
Well, hope this isn't TMI(too much info) but my cycle is driving me freaking nuts! Its sort of that TOM again. Or so it seems. Which.. oy! Is not regular, and running closer and closer together. I can't seem to figure if its my diet changes or exercise. You think it'dbe less length, not MORE! Anyhow..guess this was more of my vent for the day. ;)

On a more positive note, I'm really proud of my 45 minutes on the treadmill today and 40 minutes on the bike yesterday. I trly wanted to do a full 60 minute cardio, however I got to the gym too late yesterday and also today. I am debating bringing work clothes to the gym to shower there and head out. But that won't work carpooling with the future-hubby. So we'll see! I am heading back to the gym tonight to do my upper body weights. Skipped them yesterday. And as to keep on track I am going to try and hold down the calories today under 1200 again because I really want to lose this weight and be a good addition to my team! ;) Besides, I've got to beat Paula!!! :D

Wow Dana you're doing awesome!!! I might need your advice for music with my wedding. We've picked almost all of the music out but I can't seem to find a song to dance with my brother. My brother got married almost two years ago and I was very ill. I went to the ceremony but couldn't stay for the reception. My brother and I have never had one dance together so I want it to be special but it's so difficult to find a song that's not about a couple. If you think of anything send it my way. :)
 
Cassie, thanks! :) As for TOM, well the more I read right now, it looks like I might not actually be ovulating. Would explain the length before and after AF. Anyhow! Which is ok, cause I have no intentiosn of getting pregnant any time real soon.. but down the road. oy! :) We'll see what my dr says. Upward and onward though with this weight loss!!

Kate: thank ya girly!! :) Well you all keep me so inspired. Plus.. after yesterdays splurges, I gotta make up for it with some exercise! :D

Lol, we need to start an acronymn dictionary here on the boards for all the most commonly used ones - it took me forever to figure out TOM (I got it now, and it just makes things so much easier to understand :p)

I think one of these days I need to try and keep up with your workouts NewLeaf, because you do amazing on them and it looks like you're getting really good results :D I'm just lazy, I guess, since I only ever do 20 minutes most days and if I ever get as high as 40 its because I've broken it up over the day. Reading other people's journals is a much bigger motivator than the challenges I guess, at least for me. If you can do it, so can I!
 
Hey Beagle, you CAN do it girl, you can!! :) And as my buddy, I may have to come out there and kick you in the butt to do it. :) Granted your schedule might be a bit busier than mine, because of school and your work. Its very hectic it sounds! :) But .. try this for starters.. Going from 20 minute work outs, to 25 minutes. Then when that seems easy, go for 30. Its baby steps.. :) all of it! ;)
 
Now.. to toot my own horn a teeny bit! It has been beautiful here today. In the 60's, and the sun is shining! (mind you we had 4-6 inches of snow on Saturday.. and it was only in the low 40's yesterday its so weird here!) Anyhow.. So I took advantage of it and drove out to a local park/trail and got in a 30 minute walk!!! And I was bookin it, I tried to get in 2 miles, but unfortnately when I hit my fifteen minute time limit on the walk out on the trail (90% up hill!) I had to turn around just short of the 1 mile marker. So close!! I just couldn't lose anymore time and had to turn back as I had to go back to work. ;) But it was great to get out there and get some fresh air!! :)
