*in her best Marth Stewart voice* Pepper Spray... It's a good thing.
.
guns are much more effectiveIf a dog is really charging at you - the pepper spray won't bother them.. kind like if a human is charged up on LSD - the pepper spray doesn't have any effect.
A few years ago-- I had walked out in the back yard.. and the neighbor's family pet (they had 5 kids under the age of 10), a rottweiller, jumped a 6 foot chain link fence and came at me... Now, I'm not a little girl, I'm 5'9 and at the time was probably about 250... the dog knocked me down and latched onto my arm and started pulling... Thankfully, the neighbor on the otherside of me, a New York City detective, was pulling into his driveway and saw it.. he tried pulling the dog off me for about a minute then basically unloaded his service revolver into the dog... 250 stiches and 10 years later I still have the scar on my arm... for an attacking dog... guns rule!!

OMG Mal!! I'm so sorry to hear this. I like dogs, but not other people's dogs. This is a perfect case of "if they have teeth they will bite." I hate when people say, "Oh it's ok, he won't bite." Did you take his teeth out or something? He may not bite YOU, but he may bite me!
