renting lunch - LOL!

Hope you're feeling better. You're time wasn't that bad! I think I'd drop before to got home at 2 1/4 miles - plus carrying the 5yr old -wowwie!!
 
well the local neighborhood pit bulls keep you going at a good pace. out here no one really keeps their dogs pinned up or in a fenced yard so depending on their mood determines how fast you walk lol.....
 
oh I'll be fine.... some one just probably put some garlic in with my food..... There is just something in garlic my body wont stand for......
 
Man another sleepless night. Well it should be time to crawl in the coffin soon the sun is about to come up. Doctor wants to put my on some kind of sleep medication but I don't like that heavy artificial sleep. I'm sure it will pass. Maybe now that I'm walking I'll tire myself out more.

Morning HB, sorry you didn't get any sleep last night, unfortunately I know that feeling. I was ready for a prescripition myself, "borrowed" some Ambien from a friend. ;) Have a great day!

I've been hoping my insomnia will pass forthe past 20 years or so... but meds didn't help me much either.. :D i really hope that yours does go away...
 
Only One Pound

Hello! Do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat.
And I am the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
(As if that were such a terrible thing)
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

Hey HB! sorry about your sleepless night! They are soo miserable. I had it for years. But children cured me! LOL I mean I usuallt didn't get to sleep anyway, but they took away the option and made me soo tired at night that I started sleeping at night when they got over the stage of needing to be fed all night! Maybe you should get a couple o babies around so your body wants to sleep!!!:D
 
Thanks all..... I think it's probably just stress related....... I'm going to start walking more and who knows. I might even let the dog take me for a walk a few more times a week. we enjoy our walks except the last time he saw a rabbit and almost tore my arm from the socket lol. The worse thing is when he sees a skunk, he goes after it and I go in the other direction. He doesn't mind, to him It's just a black and white kitty lol....

Brunch: two tomato and turkey bacon sandwiches on whole grain wheat with 2 tbsp of light salad dressing. {30+70+320+40}
(460 calories)

Dinner: cup of cooked black beans with ¾ cup of brown rice inside a steamed green bell pepper topped with sour cream. {230+150+30+40}
(450 calories)

Snack: two small Italian tomatoes with salt and pepper.
(30 calories)

Snack: can of tuna in water with light salad dressing, on Melba toast. {120+20+120}
(260 calories)

Drinks: water, tea with splenda.
(0 calories)

Total today is:1200 Calories
 
nice daily intake! i have definitely found that with increased physical activity, i get a much better sleep, also as you probably already know-you burn calories while you sleep and your body recovers faster therefore a happier metabolism! i need to find a way to get more myself!
 
I was going to say - thats so loww!! But you're right - if you caught the toxic lady bug then thats probably enough. Don't make the tummy mad - the tummy is our friend!! :D:D Have a great evening HB-rrificness!!

How aggressive is the dog? Does it stand back and bark or follow you and come towards you as it barks?

The dog needs to be cautious of *you* not the other way around especially in the absence of a fence.

As a kid, I went for a walk along a country road and two big mean dogs wouldn't let me pass and they were between me and my home away from home.

I had to go up a drive way, where the owners CLEARLY did not want tresspassers - and had the sense of humor to prove it - scene after scene played out between plastic &/or taxidermied animals (aligators, bears, etc) eating what to a 10 year old kid looked like former tresspassers.

Once I got brave enough to knock on the door, they called my aunt & uncle and drove me home.

I got lucky!

Next day, my uncle and I walked down the road with a pocket full of rocks and a good aim and taught those dogs NOT to go after little girls walking the trail home.
