MMMmmm...I'm about ready to roast a whole garlic right now.

Do you know if I can roast the whole thing now and only use the cloves as I need them - or do I have to use them up immediately?

well when my mom roasts peppers, she makes them as i told you and we use it as salad for days (it can be in the fridge). i like them cold. but we usually eat them fast lol

Well, I just roasted a whole head of garlic and it forced Bob from the house!

As much as he loves garlic, it would seem this was a bit overpowering! LOL!

Congrats on 100 straight ;) That's some serious chuggin'

The pepper thing made me drool for an old recipe Mom use to make - I think I'm going to make it tomorrow. After thinking about the ingredients, it shouldn't be overly wicked especially if I use ground turkey instead of hamburger.

20 disc ?? yowza !! It'll be off the best seller list by the time you get done :p

I prefer themw hen it's stil a little warm but there's no reason why you can't refridgerate it and u se it up in a few days.. If bob has been evicted -hmm- is he part vampire? once its done roasting it gets a nice nutty flavor.. very smooth and mushy

What recipe did your mom used to make?

As for 20 discs - it's on the list of the greatest books of the century, and although, generally, when I read a book that is off that list, I walk away with a better understanding of why books make it to that status - can't say the same for Moby Dick

Yep - it's mushy.
I took out two cloves to add to the roasted vegies (is that too much?) I put the other 14 cloves in the fridge (TIGHTLY sealed) ;)

Every window and door in the house is open and the ceiling fan is on - it's only 67 degrees out - it's COLD in here!

she'd boil some rice, then drain it, add the rice to raw hamburger, tomato paste, bay leaves - simmer on a frying pan for 20 minutes. Core out the green bell peppers, salt and pepper the insides, scoop in the filling and broil on the second rack for about 10-15 minutes then move the rack to the top and put a controlled char on the outside for a few more minutes.

It's actually warmer here ?? it was 77 when I passed the bank clock/temp thing on the way home from the walk.

Hey - that's the recipe I'm making for dinner tonight! I'm using 93/7 hamburger and long grain brown rice :)

And I really don't NEED to hear it's colder here!

Here's a quick NSV story from last night. I got really wasted last night and about 4 a.m. I had the serious munchies. I really have about zero munchy foods here and driving wasn't an option. I had an 8 pack of smoked sausages that I haven't had the courage or will power to incorporate into my menu - in fact they're so old they probably weren't safe to eat, well there wasn't really anything else to eat here for that mindframe to match.

I cooked up those suckers up, plated them and sunk a fork into the first link. This greasy, oozy junk launched out of the wiener and splattered all over my monitor and shirt. All 8 links are in my garbage can. I just couldn't eat that shit and believe me, my state of mind, I KNOW I woulda ate every last one of those nastys.

Woo Hoo!!
Good for you for giving them the toss! It's amazing sometimes to think how far we've come!

I'm in the process of ripping an audio book for Megan - 4 lousy cd's and one of the cd's keeps getting hung up on one track.
GRRRR...

Grrrrr indeed. My optical drive is junk right now. Add the external CD to my ever-growing wish list *sigh*

hey, don't be weather greedy  we eat a lot of the 'it's 78 here today' while we're up to our adams apples in ice cubes :( Shame on you Debi !!

Well...I AM the princess after all.
It's hard not to be spoiled ;)

Megan and I share a computer...she has her own profile - I have mine.
Her's does not have any IM'ing programs.

I hate that!
I'm in hers downloading the books...without much success!

So this is why you're hyper-posting :) I don't blame ya for ducking the dirty duds either. Not my fav chore.
