G'Morning Jerry :)
Working in the yard all weekend?

Well...if you quit spending your time trying to recruit FREE service and get out there and DO it, you'll be done already!!
:p

You know - I shouldn't really talk. I live in an association - the gardner comes and takes care of the front.

I only have a small (mostly concrete) back yard.

Just this week, I finally took the blower to the leaves that came down (IN THE FALL!) and blew all the leaves into one corner with the idea of at some point getting them bagged and trashed.

Well...the winds came up this week since I did that.

Maybe I should be looking for a cheap labor force too ;)

Hey you - Im blowing off the dust - lol - i has been a long time since ive been in here *hanging head in shame* We live on an acre of land and I rent out my grannies suite with my girls so we undfrotunately have alot of yard work we need to do regardless of wantign too lol - granny plants a veggy gardner and we grow dalias (sp) so dig dig dig...speaking of which I need to buy sand for the sand box...My youngest loves to help granny in the yard...i hate it but I do it - LOL...

Im sorry but im just gonna ask - what happen with annie - your diary is so popular I am sure i will need to go back at least 10 pages...

cheap labor

Don't you have a Honey to do list?

Are you KIDDING?
bwwahahahahaaaa!

:::excuse #2 ...it's still to early, don't want to disturb the neighbors:::

(buys another 1/2 -1 hour)

At this rate, you're going to stall yourself right into next weekend!

No need to apologize ever, this is a busy place and lots of diaries abound. I couldn't imagine tryin gto care for such a big yard - I have about 8 plants that are lucky to still be alive!

Meg didn't get picked for the part - they were definitely looking for someone with more experience then she had - they liked her a lot though and I was very proud of how she handled herself!

Legit excuse...yeah baby.

The door bell rings and it's the Chemlawn guy. He's putting on the first application of the spring.

I was told to stay off the lawn for 3/4 -1 hour.

I swear - you're making this up!!
NO one is that lucky!

Time to make another cup of coffee.

Ok Deb what's cookin.

I just planned out dinner for tonight.

My goal is to get away from preprackaged dinners...

So - tonight is roasted stuffed bell peppers.
I've never had them, but this last week I have come to LOVE roasted vegies (Mal is to thank!) with the exception of roasted brussel sprouts YUCK!

So...I'm looking forward to tonight's dinner! I'm not sure what to put with it though.

I had one cup this moring and I'll be heading out for my walk soon.

hmm.. I've only recently started liking bell peppers. Maybe in a few months i'll be brave enough to try that. :) Have a great weekend!

I'm stalling too...

I've been downloading the book on cd I've been listening to to iTunes.
So that I can put it on my iPod...

20 discs - it's taking FOREVER!

ok I'm out of here.

I have to check out the tv and see if there is a old western on and then start my chores.

Right - something tells me those chores ARE NOT getting done any time soon!

Next Saturday it's me and Mal at PF Changs....woohoo!!!

My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

It sounds like a great date - good food - good company - life is bliss!

If there was a PF Changs half way between Chicago and Southern California we could all meet up.

I'm sure there is - but with gas prices - I'm not gonna risk it!
You two kids have fun now :D

Oooo. Yum. Roast peppers! You're really getting into the interesting vegetables aren't you?

I hope you enjoy your walk and that the next bit of the book is worth the downloading! :)

I'm really, really trying to get more vegies and a wider variety into my diet - I'm trying the stuffed peppers because I LOVED the roasted bells this last week.

As for the book - well no - it's not worth it! I'm listening to Moby Dick - and it's TERRIBLE...but I'm going to finish ;)

I'll be back after my skips to post my exercises...

Well it's great that you're making good progress with the veges!

I haven't had them stuffed so I'm not sure what you would put with them. I suppose it depends on what the stuffing is. Rice, tomatoes, and a green salad? Grilled eggplant, with steamed stringless beans, and sugar snap peas - a garnish of toasted slivered almonds? Cabbage tossed with butter and carroway seeds?

I hope you have fun with it, a satisfying walk and a fun weekend.
