Those scales will behave again soon.

They sound like teenage scales to me. You will stick to doing the right thing and eventually they will too.

I hope you have a great day. You have been doing some massive stuff with the exercise. I hope you're not too sore ! :)

M2M it must be frustrating for you but don't fuss too much about the scale. You know you're gonna keep doing what your doing and you WILL lose those last pounds you want to lose. Your workouts are so impressive and you are FAST!

I want my before and after pics to be as impressive as yours.

M2M you look so pretty in your avatar. YOu must be very proud.
I hope your scales become more agreeable in the future! As well as mine too!;)

Morning Rachie!

I don't know about the lying scales - but the weight is still up - and yesterday I made sure to have 100oz water - and I had a low cal day.

I'm not sure what's going on...

The scale hasn't been thrown out the window yet - but I'm clearly thinking about it ;)

I'll help!!:D

Hi Everyone :)

That scale WILL be shown who's boss! On the 1st it said 175 (and before that, I had seen it wavering between 172-174)...it went up to 180 yesterday and it was 178 this morning.

AND my walking times are getting SLOWER!
4.07 miles 46.14 minutes 11.33 minutes per mile

I'm at day 24 in my cycle - that DAMN well better be the problem!
Honestly the weight has been creeping up since I started using weights with my exercises. That shouldn't be a problem, I AM in a deficit...but I'm not happy about it ;)

I will ignore the scales for a week though and give it time. I'm not doing anything wrong except the sodium, but my sodium is always high 3400-4400) so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and trust that it will all even out.

Isn't that sort of weight increase from increased muscle just another kind of temporary increase before it helps push your weight back down again?

It must be very hard to take, after so long of fighting to make the numbers go the other way.

It's so much easier losing weight in the early stages. Its lucky for people like me that we will have your example to help us keep going when we get to these later stages, just as it has been already with your weight loss to date and amazing drive to exercise well.

Oh Felici,
Thank you for saying this!

I do have a hard time imagining that it's increased muscle - especially being in a deficit. I spent a couple of months not losing much because I was increasing my calories (I did NOT want my maintenance to be 1200 a day) ;)

So that definitely stalled my weight loss, and I was ok with that - but I've been really diligent. I know it will start coming off again in time.

I think when we have a lot to lose, there is so much more going on then just changing a few things up, adding some exercises and seeing visible results.

It's the knowledge that this is a LONG term investment. It's not about some 20 Vanity pounds - it's about changing our whole lives and that just takes time. I really think there's a HUGE difference.

And that's ok - I plan on this being a life long change and commitment :)

It just gets frustrating sometimes along the way ;)

..

That's the hardest thing and the best thing all in one really.

It makes the company we have at the time very important. :)

Felici that was a really good post, I completely agree. M2M you are doing so great, I can't wait until I have your stamina. I like seeing what you're doing with weights, because I'm interested in lifting too. Thanks for your posts! ;)

Oh, you're so wise, M. Your diary always makes me feel better. I just ate a bunch of Easter eggs, so I needed some encouraging words. Haha

Preaching to the choir!!! It is so frusturating when the scale doesn't reflect your work but it will. You know this. The long haul is when you see the fruit of all your labor... otherwise we would all just get surgery and be done with it.... again and again. You are doing great and your walking is astounding!!! The scale will behave, just give it a week or so:) Take care!!

Hi M2M, I am SURE it is the weights. I see slower weight loss when I lift weights but ultimately bigger changes and the weight drops after a few weeks as your body adjusts. Keep up the weights, walking and healthy eating and banish the scales from the room! I know I am seeing changes but the scales doesn't agree with me right now. You are rocking on the weight loss and will continue to - just ignore the pesky scales :)
