A Day In The Life of m2m :)

Since you are in day 24 of your cycle, my best advice is to wait until about two days after you menses is finished. I always feel my best and seemingly weigh the least during that time. Not to mention, I once read somewhere that during PMS, a woman burns an extra 300 cals. Check into that. It could be making extra deficit that's holding you back.

Otherwise, once Aunt Flo leaves town rely on measurements. If there isn't a difference, I've always believed a plateau is a good time to change up the eating or the exercising or both. Your body gets accustomed to things after awhile. Maybe it's time to shake things up!:D

man everyone seems to be having the dreaded P word this month. Im just hoping this SH diet thing im doing will kick mine to the curb, in some ways doing it over easter is both hard because i cant eat anything and beneficial because im not eating anything!

Dont fret though M2M, you're looking amazing :)

I really can't add anymore! I agree with what everyone says. I do believe it's the weights as well. If you're building up your muscles and muscle weighs more than fat... then voila! If you're doing everything else like exercising and eating right then it's gotta be that. Just keep up the good work, the scale will reflect it soon.

well said M2M! it IS a life long commitment. It is not like we'll reach our dream weight & live happily ever after!! we'll have to work hard evry single day of our lives. the journey itself is our reward!
have a great day!!

Thanks Rashmi :)
And have I told you I love your avatar!

Nothing quite like a voluptuous red head :D

Hi M2M! I'm just popping in to say hello! And thanks for the support you've given me, it helps. :) *hugs*

Just catching up on your diary, and i agree with everyone above. :) Put that scale to the side, wait till sunday morning weigh in ;) Stick to what your doing, and you'll do fine. Its YOU we are talking about here! You're almost at your goal! you know you can do it :) and most definitely will!

How long have you been walking now? i meant to ask you before.

Jo, I started walking last May, I think it was the first week in June when I realized I had passed the "do something for 21 days, you make it a habit" rule of thumb I picked up from Mal.

In the 14 months I've been losing weight, I have weighed myself every day.
AT LEAST once every day...

So - if you're going to NOT look at the scale until Sunday morning - I won't either!

hey m2m,

awesome diary! well i agree with everyone else... making this a lifestyle isn't about short term or even long term success... it's about LIFELONG success... and the changes you've made in your life already have made such an AMAZING positive impact in our body and mind! it's about progress, not perfection... and what needs to be applauded and what needs to receive the MOST attention is the steps you are taking towards your goals each and everyday.... never measure your success by that number on the scale... only YOU know the true measure of your own success, and that's just by how you feel about what you're doing... people lose weight all the time through silly silly silly methods that are totally unrealistic, and are very unhealthy for them... that to me isn't success... because it's not going to last! and it's not success because they're not ENJOYING life while they're doing it!! i want to feel GOOD while i'm on the journey towards my goal...

lol... but thats just my opinion....

:)

Strong,
That is a beautiful post - thank you for saying it! I absolutely agree - sometimes in the case of the scale, I just need to the boot to remind me :)

That was great advice, and soo true :) I have started walking 33 days ago, and it indeed has become a habit now, not a chore. Wow you have been walking a long time now! Thats great ;)

We learn something new each day on this forum. I wouldn't have thought you were one to weigh each day!
It's a deal.. no scale till Sunday..

I'm definitely off to bed now :)

Have a great night..
Joanne
