Good afternoon M2M,
Your distance of 4 miles in 42 min is really great,:) I am happy to tell you that I did in fact do my 20 min of walking today, it was tough but I stuck it out and feel very inspired to continue on! Have a wonderful evening.

I dug an old book out last night and immediately thought of you- -if you've never read The Long Walk - by Stephen King (writing under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) pick up a copy... you would so kick ass in that race :D

have a delightful day

Yikes - I didn't realize I hadn't caught up with my own diary!

:) Good AFternoon M2M,
I take it it is warm where you are?I really
want to walk and alot of the snow has melted on the sidewalks just grass is covered but I am afraid of slick spots do to it being 35 now and cooling to 20's?But I may gear up lol I have some Sketchers tie weather shoes that may work I would rather go out and get it over with than the treadmill.

Hi Tammy, It has been warm here - and nice :) Take it easy out on the ice - I wouldn't risk falling, YIKES!

great job w/ the walk...i got my cardio in today too!! finally!

Alright fsaiidni!!

great job with the walk. I still can't go out and wallk yet...the road I am going to walk on is still snow covered and icy. And it's quite cold outside...maybe later this week....

Oh and i noticed you moved your ticker one spot congrats!

Well, it actually moved quite a bit last week, since I had been fluctuating the week before - but that's where the dust settled ;)

Yayy on the four miles plus bench exercises! Good motivation

Thanks loseit4good :)

dont suppose you can do another 4 miles for me and credit it to my account can ya ?

Yeah, it might help me out to do that... hmmm ;)

if that is possible count me in on that one...lol

Oh, wait, I might run out of time!

That is some FAST walking M!

Hey Heidi - Every day I walk, I can't help but think those "REAL" race walkers walk twice as fast as I do - THAT boggles my mind!

I loved those Stephen King short stories...

Happy Tuesday Debi! Enjoy your walk, and think of me. It dropped to -32 again. :(

Enjoy your nice WARM walk... No, no... I don't feel the bitter pang of resentment. :p Have fun, speedy!

LOL SunnyDee - I'll send warming vibes your way!

I seem to have missed all the action here! Oh well i was at the gym, so I was doing something good!! Have a great walk!!:)

You ARE doing something good! :)

Hey M....did you ever get out your gi for some karate?

NO - I did contact my original sensei and he told me where practice is, but I'm finding a hard time putting it in the schedule. I have been going over my katas and forms a bit more often :) It's good to see you posting!

Oh geesh DQ - I'm SERIOUSLY sending you warming vibes! -32 is alllll WRONG!

I got 4 miles in 41 minutes...I'm showered and feeling good :)

OK - So I'm just in from the park - and I have two things to say (only two you ask?) ;)

In Tammy's diary we were talking about how to take/accept compliments. Here's one from today:
"Debi, HI, How are you? I kept staring at you because I couldn't place you, you looked SO familiar! What happened to the other half of you???"

Ummmm...thanks. I think.
;)

I get home from the park (this has been a 7 year tradition of going to a park every Tuesday with a big group of homeschooling families, commonly referred to as Park Day.

I wore my pedometer today because I needed to get Wishes walk in for her.

I come home, go to the restroom (because I WON'T use the ones at that park), I get side tracked, come out to the kitchen without finishing what I needed to do, start dinner, reach down to my pedometer and it's not there.

Frig.

The park is 13 miles away - 25 minutes by Southern Ca rush hour time. I get in the car, head over to the park and comb the area for my pedometer.
It's not there.

Great.

I come home. Feeling bummed.

Walk into the bathroom to finish what I set out to do 2 hours earlier and just guess what was sitting on the counter?

The good news is I have my pedometer.

So - I guess it's time to fix dinner ;)

Howdy, M2M,
Wow what a day for you, glad you found your pedometer
I do that all time change pants take my money out of my back pocket and
lay it on back of toilet or sink then go out and think I oh crap I lost my money lol! I wore my cuite outfit to chcukkee cheese (I have no other excitibg places to go lmao) and I got those compliments again my sis N law swears I lost another 20lbs since Xmas which I did lose 13 lbs but she said you look good and looks like you lost a 1.2 of a person "I stand there saying thanks turning red in the face" I just don't know how to take a compliment!
I must admit it feels better than getting the "she's a cow"smurks!

Well congrats on your walk and you do look great! Heck your almost in the 170's I can't wait to get there I will be on cloud 9 lol! Have a nice night Tammy:)

What??? Your walking for Wishes????
How much is she paying you??? I'll double it!!!!!;) :D
Well i am glad you found your walk O meter.....I'v lost like 5 of them over the past year........I think it is due to my body shape.....fat belly.......knocks em off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
