Hey m2m,

well I ended up doing my first 5 mile tonight. I of course immediately thought of you. Geezus, you do that every day?

*bows down*

Only after actually doing the 5 mile can I actually appreciate it. It's one hell of a workout!

But she's won every PM fight. I just can't get a leg up. :( :p ;)

For some reason when i read that i immediatly thought of a dog with his leg up peeing on a lamp post! :O

*shakes away the bad mental images of T2 peeing on lamp posts with his leg up*

My dog keeps me on my have to walk everyday
but he stops and sniffs alot and that makes my timeing blah!

Hi Tammy!
My walking partner used to bring her two dogs - and when I first started walking, I didn't mind at all - It gave me a perfect excuse to rest a bit without looking like a whimp ;)

Ohhh, did you run or walk it? And sir, have you LOOKED at your exercise routines? I'm the one doing the bowing - seriously!

Now see...while I understood that expression, for me, my mental image is of Indian Leg Wrestling. You lay on your back next to each other, one person going one way and the other person with their feet near the head of the other...on 3 you lift your inside leg up and hook it around the leg of the other person flipping them over.

I'm the QUEEN of that game! :)

I always sucked at that game!

Happy Thursday Deb!

I do too!

Anyway, I'm home from my 5 (58.21 minutes). We're putting up the Halloween stretchy webbing today - should be fun!

There's a fire going on somewhere around me...it's south west - but not too far southwest and the internet news is not reporting it yet.

This is the only time I don't like not having TV

My house backs up to an arroyo that is bordered on one side by Cleveland National Park and T's at O'Neil Regional park, we have a lot of dry sage brush land that has been known to rip with fires. Hopefully I'll get some news on this soon - it appears to be coming from the city of Mission Viejo area, so it's a populated area but I don't know yet...

OK - I finally got some news, it's nothing close:

Winds bring desert-fire fallout
Residents feeling effects of smoke and ash from Cabazon fire near Palm Springs. Three firefighters perish fighting the 4,000-acre blaze.

Smoke and ash swirling across Orange County are from the Cabazon fire, where 4,000-acre blaze in the sparsely populated desert area near Palm Springs.

Residents from Santa Ana to Mission Viejo woke up this morning to find smoke and ash blanketing their cars and driveways.

With Santa Ana winds picking up here, Orange County firefighters were on high alert this morning, watching carefully for any puffs of smoke.

"It's all drift smoke right now," said Capt. Stephen Miller of the Orange County Fire Authority. "It's amazing how far smoke can travel."

Having lived through fires out here where I've had to stay packed and ready to evacuate for over a week at a time, I'm really leary when I smell fires. We've had them way too close and one year, we were almost surrounded with very little fire fighting support because the whole county was on fire.

Anyway, it's good to know it's a long ways away!

while it's not a good way to live.. it really does show you what's important in this world.... most stuff can be replaced.. so as long as you are safe... and your family.. that's what matters :D

stay fire an smoke free..

So true!

stay fire and smoke free..

Yep - it's 82 degrees, but all the windows are closed!

Glad to hear that !! In re: to what Mal said, I'm glad I have all my pics stored on an offline storage. Anything else I can deal with.

Same here, with the exception of about 8 photo albums from days of old that I haven't scanned.

Being on fire watch is good, it allows you time to gather what really means a lot and pack up. It's the middle of the night panic attacks that I'd have to leave everything in 2 minutes flat that gets me thinking I need to organize all the meaningful stuff to me in a box and keep it at the door JUST in case!

Hmm i feel sorry for those working or living near the fire. I have a friend who alerted me it was happening when his house became ingulfed in smoke.
Apparently a huge big black wall of cloud/smoke just kept going towards his place, i think he left pretty soon afterwards.
