oooh i remember wheni had olympic dreams of swimming :D don't let those dreams die... not everyone can get an olympic meda.. but swimming scholarships... those are worth a lot more :D

kudos to your kid.. :D

I like seeing girls involved in sports.. there have been so many studies that show that girls who are active in sports, are less likely to drink and do drugs.. and because of a higher level of self esteem, less likely to engage in sexual activity at a younger age... PLust he letter jackets are really cool :D

hihi! it's sunday morning here! soo goooooood evening!

wow such good news! what a gal! M, did u jump up n down with poms poms? heheh....

hope u hv a wonderful time at the banquet!

Hey CHicky...thanx for sending support my way...I havent dropped in for awhile...sounds like your daughter is doing great...CONGRATS to her and you...it sucks when circumstance doesnt allow of our exercise...I get so frustrated but what can one do...Enjoy the banquet...

Congrats to Megan!! If she trains with the same enthusiasm you walk you're going to go real far! If you can get Bob to start training on the bike, you can do a family triathalon :)

Hello Chicky me agian...I have a question for you...how do you figure out your walk per mile, like I am mean for someone like me who doesnt use a thingy...I walk at a very moderate pace and when I use Sparks ppl I use the lowest one...15/mile or w/e it is but I am wondering how to figure all this out...LOL...and who better to come to than the walking queen

Here I though I was giving you a run for your money. Yesterday I walked 8.2 miles - half in the am, half in the evening, just under an hour each time. Nothing fast, slow and steady wins the race.

Well, you must be beaming with pride for your daughter. Congrats to her.

Bahh...Patty, I'm way behind! I normally get 18 miles in over the weekend at least! This weekend I got *2* LOL! I did pick up another 5 today (it's supposed to be my REST day!) and I'll try and grab another 4 or 5 tonight while Megan is swimming - I have a lot of making up to do!

I've also had two 1600 calorie days - it shouldn't bug me too much, my range is 1400-1700, but I normally come in under 1300 - so it's a big difference for me...but I have spent a month saving up calories to spend on last night's banquet - the damage wasn't too bad, two pieces of pizza (good BJ's Chicago pizza and a guiness ;) TOM's here, and between that and the sodium over the last two days, I'm two pounds up since Friday. It should be fine though...I'll just cycle down and cut the salt - and since I've already had my avocado for the week, I should be good ;)

Megan's banquet was phenomenal last night! She was SO excited! She got a team trophy and a certificate for being a Team Record Holder in the 50 Fly.

Dave Denniston was there and gave such a wonderfully motivating speech - he can turn Megan like no other! She came home and started a swim diary - she posted her times in all of her events and has listed her goals for this year and what she's going to do to reach them.

She then went on to do 100 crunches, leg lift for held for 3 minutes and about 20 push ups. One of her goals is to get a stronger body. That and maybe hit the olympics in 2020 ;)

Mal, you're so right, a college scholarship would be even better!

page 3 wtf is up with that ??

Seriously slacking on my part ;)

I've been doing my thing, sticking to The Plan, but I'm feeling overwhelmed this week - I have more laundry then I know what to do with and too many outside the house obligations.

I did get my 5 in this morning (58.48 minutes) but the thought that I'm BEHIND 18 miles this week with no chance to catch up is bugging me. I need to let it go and just consider them sick days!

Did I tell you guys I broke my shower this week? I turned the faucet on, and stood there *holding* the knob in my hand. I quickly shoved the handle back on in hopes of being able to turn off the water - which it did, but then I couldn't turn it back on - needless to say, I have to learn how to change a shower faucet today ;)

I've been snacky the past few days - still within calorie range, but what I don't like is the fact that I'm grazing...standing with my head in the fridge always looking for SOMETHING to eat. It tells me my meals aren't satisfying me - I have to change that, of course, TOM being here isn't helping the snack factor!

OK - Off to hit Megan's shower and get some laundry done - I'm hoping to be around a bit today to get some peaks at diaries :D

Hope you're all doing well!

Don't ya just hate it when your day starts off like that? Hope you get that shower fixed. So glad to hear that the banquet was such a great experience for Megan. She sounds like such a great kiddo!

It's almost like we're twins. Talk about being inside my head !! - pretty scary

Isn't it funny how the lack of posting (or diminishing of posting) goes hand in hand with not feeling completely on track. I look at my numbers for yesterday, and they're fine...but I don't think I ever had a "meal". I grabbed a banana, then 20 minutes later I'd have a corn tortilla with some non fat cheese on it, 20 minutes after that I'd have half a cucumber cut up with some reduced fat cilantro dressing (all of 34 calories). I finished the day with 1285 calories, eaten 50 calories at a shot...no wonder I never felt full and always felt like I was eating.

So I know the problem, I just have to fix it ;) Today's a close cousin to yesterday though! And now I've just found out that my time schedule for the day is completely changed because someone gave my daughter a PHONE and she has arranged a play date for this afternoon!

The good news is the laundry IS getting done!

I missed more than one meal over those *&%#&$#@ pizza-flavored goldfish. Handful here, handful there and next thing I know I'm getting in the 600 - 800 cal range and passing on my supper and sucking down a straight away simple salad and carrots and pickles for night snacks.

Truth be know, I don't see me ever having a 'masters degree' in this eating world, but I'll be go to hell if I'm ever going back to fat. The 'flirting with disaster' stage is kinda ok with me. The day I announce I brought home the Big Mac value meal is the day we have to worry.

I agree. I strayed from my regular time-of-day eating and it was alarming to me. This pretty much happened when I turned to irratic sleep patterns and got all out of kilter. I tried compensating night-nibbling in lieu of 'meals' and it only made matters worse. I'm still not back on routine but trying to bring my body clock to come hither. Small steps - big importance.

Ugh !! I'm still out of a job !! :p :D
