Oh Randy - you're sweet, but I felt like all over this site tonight, in seemingly every other diary I hit, I was blabbing on and on about people having low calories, so I've felt very preachy tonight.

My calories have been below my range all week with the exception of one day. It was my cycle this last week, and I tend to eat less in order to fight the munchies ;)

I'm just the typical pot calling kettles black!

wow M u r inspiration for walks! Is that AV yr pic? I think tmr that'll be popping by my head besides Billy Blanks, when I go for my walk lol:p

Thanks Dolly :)
It is my picture - T2 downsized it for me from one of the pictures I posted in the Before & After section when I reached my half way mark.

When I first started walking, I could *barely* do 2 miles and it would take a good 40-45 minutes minimum. I just really learned to love it quickly and the duration and the speed increased.

I'm not where I want to be yet, but I will be :D

And it seems you were posting in my diary at the same time I posted in yours!

With all the walking you do I can see where too few is a big deal. Me, being the original couch tater. I'm working on it slowly.

With your lawn Randy, you will NEVER be a couch potato!!

Since I looked at my week in review regarding walking, I figured I'd do the same with calories...
Calories: 1410 - 1760
Sunday 858
Mon 1,249
Tue 2,002 (I had posted lower, but ended the night with a snack)
Wed 1,202
Thu 1,247
Fri 1,057
Sat 1,186

So my calories aren't bad, and normally not too low - but I think I do really need to get into my 'range'.

I haven't been listing my weekly goals as much, because a lot of what used to be my goals, are part of my daily routine now - but I want to get back in the habit so hear they are.

1. Walk minimum 44 miles
2. Better my time to 12 minute miles for at least 3 of my morning 5's
3. Walk 12.5 miles on my endurance walk with a time of at least 13 m/p/m
4. Clean out my closet of all clothes sizes 18, 20 & 22's.
5. Prepare For Megan's Birthday Slumber Party next Saturday :p

and calorie control your doing gr8! Tammy

Morning M,
Hope you're enjoying that walk. Have a wonderful Sunday.

I have a "Cheetahlicious" birthday party to attend later with my daughter, I just want to sit at home. Give me some of your energy.

Hi Everyone,
I needed to rest after my walk ;)

I went 13 miles, it's what Bob calls the Coto Loop and he's been bugging me for weeks wondering when I was going to do it. I've been really hesitant because there are some *serious* hills on that route. I kept saying "I wasn't ready". So when I got to the junction where I had to chose whether or not to go on with the route I planned, or turn right and take the Coto Loop, I stopped and thought about it - No time like the present I suppose.

There were some hills that kicked my butt - but I DID it!
It took me 3 HOURS 06 minutes! - 14.30 minutes per mile...MUCH slower then I normally go, but not knowing how I was going to do with the hills, I was cautious ;) I also took a 2-3 minute break half way up one of the hills.

So that's my new Sunday route - I just have to work on bettering my time now that I know that I CAN do it!

I did enjoy it - it's a really pleasurable walk. The majority of it is through Coto de Caza a gated community and it empties out onto a road that cuts through the hills and over the arroyo.

I kept struggling with not wanting to walk too fast since I didn't know how tough the hills were going to be for me. I look forward to doing it again next week and start bettering my time.

It's *almost* a half marathon loop, so if I can make this regular and eventually get the time down under 13 minutes per mile, I'll be good :D

Hey M2M, that's an awesome feeling of accomplishment for you I bet. I'm thrilled to here of your continued success walking. I can't even imagine somebody walking 13 miles that fast.

I couldn't get online last night to post calories, because Megan wouldn't give up playing Club Penguin ;)

So the totals for yesterday were:
CALORIES 1,223 Goal 1410 - 1760
CARBS 142 Goal 159 - 286
FAT 36 Goal 21 - 68
PROTEIN 73 Goal 35 - 154
Sodium 3,069 Goal 1200 - 2400

Today's my rest day - so no walking. I do think I'm going to go buy some new shoes today, I was able to feel my right heal a little *too* much while walking yesterday. I only have 307 miles on these shoes, but it just doesn't feel like there's much support left.

Hope everyone has a great week!

You are a WALKING Machine :D Have a GREAT DAY and Drink your WATER!!!
