Weight-Loss 6 Week Challenge 26 June - Aug 6th 06

Weight-Loss
Okay back. Ugh my week sucked. I'm done with holiday though. Back to behaving! So at this stage in my weight loss and eating plan - I still have absolutely no will power in the real world. The best thing I did was have omletes with egg beaters at the hotel. Other than that - I was very bad.

My weight for Monday was 295. I gained. Oy. Okay fighting back this week!

So I told myself I'd be posting a weight in the 230's next time... My scale is slooooooooowly but surely heading in that direction! I'm so excited- I LOVE getting past mini-milestones. I started a new workout regiment this week too- it definitely seems to be building a bit of muscle on me... hopefully the additional weight of the muscle will be outdone by the additional loss of fat. I LOVE seeing the numbers on the scale go down.

Keep on track guys!

Would it be okay if I joined now? I know it makes it only a 4 week challenge, but I think this is just so great!
I'm starting at 145, not looking to compete really just to share in a common goal. I would like to lose 10-12 pounds by Aug 6th.
Thanks :)

Hey Kadie, I also saw some others starting up challenges that are starting soon too.

Good luck with your goal

I'm seeing results in the mirror..but not on the scale..which is somewhat ok with me..as long as im looking better..hopefully the scale decides to follow my physical appearance n shed some Lbs. I'm still at 208, im yo-yoing actually, 208-210..but as of now...still 208.

KrisKros- That is great that you are seeing results in the mirror! Everyone likes to point out that muscle weighs more than fat, so even if the numbers on the scale aren't as low as you'd like them to be, you might still be toning up your body and looking great! Keep up the good work and you'll get out of that 208-210 yo-yo in no time!

Down to 234.5. Went on a long weekend and splurged a little, so I'm up half a pound from mid week, last week. But I'm back on the wagon today!! Worked out last night and this morning, aerobics and weights.
Woooooohooooo!!!!
:D

I'm at 242 this morning- not in the 230's like I had hoped, but I plan to make up ground this week and definitely post a weight in the 230's next week. The 2 week group challenge should really help me out...

I'm up to 226. I'm really at the ultimate plateau after initially losing over 50 lbs in 4 months. I'm also coming to the realization that I probably can not continue losing weight through diet alone. I'm going to have to start exercising soon :(

We all have bad weeks, maybe not enough water or a hormonal change. I don't know what your weight loss plan is, but might try adding in more protein for the calores you eat, might help stimulate your metabolism and lose 'fat'.

Good luck! You'll do it!

Week 2 Weigh In

I was down to 164 on Friday; but as it is that time of the month for me my scale shows 170; I cannot put on 6 pounds in 2 days I worked out burnt 600 calories each day....(atleast thats what my heart rate monitor said); ate right...so it has to be water retention due to.............well lets see next week.....................urgh............

If you are down to 226 from 276- it's probably a pretty safe bet that you need to start exercising if you want to see continued progress. But why the sad face? You probably didn't want to change your diet and you did- and you dropped 50 pounds... Would getting a little exercise be so bad?

My peak weight was 272.5, and my lowest recent weight was 219. So I've gained back a few lbs. I know its a bad excuse, but right now I don't have time for a regular workout routine. I'm trying to get into the position to change that. For example, I don't live in the best area, and theres some pit bulls that run around my neighborhood that never get caught. And I don't like dogs. I have to drive or ride just to get myself somewhere to exercise. I'm supposed to be moving soon, which should help. And I want to buy a new bike that will be fun to ride, maybe even start riding to work again on nice days. So I think I'm just stuck for this month, but come next month if I move to a new place, that could change quickly :)

And I'm already getting alot of protein, to the poster that mentioned it.
