50 lbs Down & 50 to Go!

Lost over 5 lbs. in one day on 1200 calories and about 1 hour of exercise.

I am glad I took the week off to let my knee heal.

That is an impressive one day weight loss now if you can just keep it up for 8 weeks without binging maybe you can achieve your goal.

whaaaaaaaaat, thats CRAZEE. :eek2: well done!!

Yes, I was very surprised. I was expecting to lose 2 maybe 3 pounds. A five pound loss was beyond my imagination. I had to weigh myself twice on 2 different scales to believe it. I guess my metabolism was all reved up from the "binging" last week and the combination of 1200 calories and an hour of exercise just burned fat and water fast, but I am just about 1 1/2 pounds down from where I was when I injured my knee and decided to take a break from my weight loss program.

:jump:

Great to read that your knee is healed and that you're back with your rotating calorie diet regimen. I look forward to reading about your continued success. A 5lb loss already is fantastic.

Wow! Sounds like you made some progress! How exciting!
Congratulations on the loss! It's certainly a boost to motivation!

Yes, the ability to exercise is crucial to my weight loss program. To date I've lost a total of 60 lbs. The rotation is crucial to keeping my metabolism rate up.

These 1200 calorie days are very tough to get through but I am about to make it through another one.

:hurray:

60lbs? Incredible.
Congrats on making it through another 1200 calorie day. I feel you. I'm eating 1200 a day too. It's tough. You rule.

That is why I am now alternating 1200 and 1500 days. I don't think I could have continued on Katahn's diet. Those 3 day stretches of 1200 calories were just too tough.

Lost 3 lbs. on 1200 calories and 90 minutes of exercise.

Do you gain a little bit in between these fantastic losses or is this pure loss?

It's a curious diet plan - but it seems effective!

I use to do 1200 calorie days with about 90 grams of meat and a huge pile of hearty veggies (broccoli, carrots, beans). It's lots of food without sugar and very low carbs...not that you need my input, you are doing great!

What's the name of the concept of this diet? I want to look into it.

I customized Katahn's rotation diet to work best for me. Basically the rotation diet works on the principle that you rotate your calories between 1200/1500/1800 (and on my diet by 100 calories increments up to 2100) so that your metabolism does not slow. The rotation diet has always worked for me. I once lost 78 lbs. on it and this time I have already lost about 65 pounds in less than 4 months. The only time I gain weight is when I binge or when I am building muscle by lifting weights.
