Thanks, shinsplint! What a long day it's been, but I did the downstairs and the laundry so tomorrow is the upstairs.
The GP did all my blood work, including for diabetes, thyroid, etc as I was referred to a dietician and he needs the blood results to make the referral, which he didn't know so they didn't put me on the waiting list yet! Waaah, but the results will be in a week and I'll know the true nature of what's going on.
The wake up call of the weight gain actually affecting my organs, blood, vision, etc, has made me even more committed to losing the weight and getting fit (GETTING FIT!). I don't want to be sick and a burden on my lovely hub and kids, so I'm going to do this. Maybe what you say re: carbs is right regarding the thyroid because it's true I'm finding it a lot harder losing weight this time than previous times. In the past, I'd lose 7-8lbs the first week, and 5lbs for at least 4 or 5 weeks after that. This time, I'm in 3 weeks and it's only 9lbs all together so it is a lot slower!
I'm looking forward to getting back to working out asap. I feel so much better when I do!
Back into it again from Monday, following my plan. I'm starting with the trainer next week!
By the way, my ticker is a new one and it's a photo of my neck to waist when I was 25. I want to look like that, even more firm though! And a boob lift would be good, too!!
