20to10 - a journey begins with a single step.

One time at work I forgot my dinner, so I ate what was there, which was all dessert type stuff. Even though it tasted good... it didn't make me feel like I really ate dinner ya know? So it was not good! lol I won't be doing that again.

Thanks, Tutti! I'm trying.

I didn't not eat because of calorie cutting. I forgot my lunch. By the time I finished yard duty (I'm a teacher) and my husband brought me my lunch, I had 15 min to eat it before class. So, it was low blood sugar I had, I'd say.

I'm feeling much better now! Thanks!

Yea, definitely low blood sugar and carbs. Maybe you should add some more carbs to your diet. Carbs fuel you. You are burning 600 calories, maybe you need an extra bit of fuel ..
best wishes

and CONGRATS on the loss!!!!!!!!:hurray::hurray::hurray:

Ugggh. I hate when I forget lunch.. I always THINK I'll be okay, but then twenty minutes later, I'm half nauseated cuz I haven't eaten. Ahh, the never ending cycle... Keep up the great workouts tho :) killer!

Hi there, sounds like you're doing really well with the exercise. I used to do Aquafit and really loved it. These days I can nly make it to the gym about once a week as I have a three month old baby to look after, so when I do go I really have to make it count (last chance work out every time, ha ha :)

Go Brown team!

I was in the hospital yesterday so was very sick. I didn't exercise and was very far below my calorie intake. I'm home sick in bed still and very sore so won't be doing much for the next few days. Feeling miserable.

Could only stomach a protein shake (spirutein) with rice milk, coffee and hot flu drink. I'm so annoyed I got sick as I was really looking forward to boxercise yesterday!

I have zero appetite but I'll have to eat something or my body will shut down and stop burning fat! I had a full blood work done yesterday for cholesterol, etc so well see the results. My blood sugar was also a but high at 6.8. I'm not sure how as I've been having zero sugar!! It mustve been really high before I started this diet!

I hate not being able to exercise. This sucks.

I have noticed a trend that I don't lose weight unless I exercise so I hate to think I'll stay the same weight. Grrrr ...

Laying here I can just feel the pounds sticking to me!

Maybe you are a diabetic... it can cause overeating .. the need ... for your body to have sugar ..

plus you havent been giving yourself enough calories, which really is bad ..
I hope you take in more calories now ...

best wishes

I've been taking enough calorie just have a tummy bug!!
They're doing up a full blood work on me as my parents both diabetic. I can't eat because I'm so nauseous but I'm going to try some porridge and see how I feel after that. :(

Oh, sorry to hear you're not well :(
I know what you mean about exercise. When I've lost weight before, I relied on lots of exercise, but now I'm a full time Mum and can only exercise when my husband can babysit, I have to make do with the exercise I do get. I am still losing weight, but feel so much better when I exercise. Make sure you rest up and get your strength back. The brown team needs you :)

Well, I've gotten over the worst of this bug. The chills aches and pains and fever have passed. Just have sore tummy.

I'm not overly worried about diabetes as in my parents case it was type two acquired from poor diet and no exercise.

I will get fit and strong. I will have a healthy BMI. I will learn to like exercise for how it makes me look. I won't allow this to beat me.

Hi and thanks for stopping by my diary. I'm sorry to hear about your flu bug and hope you feel better soon. The bean soup you described a few pages back sounds awesome.

That flu definitely sucks! I got it a few weeks ago and it was horrible! I hadn't been sick like that for years! I really hope you'll be feeling 100% soon! It took me a while to feel normal again.

I think it's great you restated your goals. It's also great that you have little goals set for every month!

Thanks so much fir all the encouragement. I sure need it. Just starting to feel slightly better. Today will be about getting the house in reasonable condition after leaving it to the hub and kids for three days. I'm kind of scared to go downstairs!!

93.5kg/206.13lbs (4.2kg/9.26lbs total loss)

it might be even lower than this after I ahem unblock myself! Sorry got being so graphic!

Congrats to your weight! I know how it is to keep house. The balance of it all and exercise is mad crazy. I need to do massive laundry today ..ugh, but carrying the basket full of heavy laundry ...will be exercise, not counting it on fitday, but it will be something and than I will be walking to meet Derek on his way home from work. Going for a thirty minute walk in 15 degrees temp and wind at 25 mph ..icks ..but will be wearing proper clothing for such a thing ..

keep trecking hun :hurray::hurray::hurray:

Hello again, sorry for not getting back to your diary... how rude after you've been visiting mine! Spank me, really. :blush5:

Sorry to hear you've been sick. I had a tum bug last week. It sucks but you sound like you're getting back into the swing and staying positive which is the MOST important thing, so don't worry about ANYthing else!

I don't think your blood sugar is high enough to actually be diabetic... it sounds like you're more borderline. But perhaps you're hypothyroid... I say this because one of the symptoms is constipation, with another being difficulty in losing weight.

I would get your thyroid levels checked to rule out a possible imbalance, and then go from there. Don't know if this helps but when I used to stop eating sugar suddenly, I used to get constipated like you. Carbs are necessary for eliminating waste, so be sure not to cut them out completely! If you're exercising, you can certainly afford to eat them regularly. :)

I hope you find the answers you're looking for and I hope your house isn't the bomb site you expect it to be! Take 'em to task, you're the Terminator Mum! :coolgleamA: :reddevil:

Thanks, shinsplint! What a long day it's been, but I did the downstairs and the laundry so tomorrow is the upstairs.

The GP did all my blood work, including for diabetes, thyroid, etc as I was referred to a dietician and he needs the blood results to make the referral, which he didn't know so they didn't put me on the waiting list yet! Waaah, but the results will be in a week and I'll know the true nature of what's going on.

The wake up call of the weight gain actually affecting my organs, blood, vision, etc, has made me even more committed to losing the weight and getting fit (GETTING FIT!). I don't want to be sick and a burden on my lovely hub and kids, so I'm going to do this. Maybe what you say re: carbs is right regarding the thyroid because it's true I'm finding it a lot harder losing weight this time than previous times. In the past, I'd lose 7-8lbs the first week, and 5lbs for at least 4 or 5 weeks after that. This time, I'm in 3 weeks and it's only 9lbs all together so it is a lot slower!

I'm looking forward to getting back to working out asap. I feel so much better when I do!
Back into it again from Monday, following my plan. I'm starting with the trainer next week!

By the way, my ticker is a new one and it's a photo of my neck to waist when I was 25. I want to look like that, even more firm though! And a boob lift would be good, too!!
