20to10 - a journey begins with a single step.

Thanks foe stopping by bellyoff. I should have used a smiley!!! Of course I was joking!! I'm very supportive of everyone on the challenge and hope were not second last this week!

It was a great lesson but I think there is a lot if the balance stuff that I can't do well enough to make it count as exercise!

Off to shower and work!

Yeah, people will deffo notice after twenty pounds :)

Not long till your 1 month weigh-in. Bet you're going to pull a great number...

Hey, wow 3.75lbs in a week is great!! :) Keep it up!!

I'd HATE a 1-1 exercise class, I prefer to blend into the crowd :rotflmao: but either way good work on the exercise. x

Go Brown Team!!!!

I am going to take off exercise tomoro because my muscles need a break but I'm
starting turbo jam on Friday! Will try learn and burn fir three days snd the full program from Monday!! Yay!!

Hi everyone.

I suffer from depression and take medication which makes me very lethargic during the day so another goal is to cut down on the meds gradually ( of course with the doctors advice )

20to10

I get depressed too! ugh! I don't take meds tho. I saw on TV the other day that a getting plenty of exercise is as effective as taking anti depressants. Have you noticed any difference when you started incorporating more exercise in your life?

I've been thinking my diet and fitness level are the root causes of my depression, among a few other things. So I am going to try the exercise approach to alleviate my symptoms. I hear more than half of the people that take the anti-depressants don't get any relief from the meds.

What are your thoughts??

Way to go on the weight loss so far, you're amazing!!

Hi, MissJellyBelly!

I answered your questions in your own diary. Thanks for reading mine. I really feel we have a lot in common and it's been wonderful that everyone here is so supportive!!

My weekly update:

Tuesday: aquafit toning 1 hr
Wednesday: personal trainer, mostly kettlebells and cardio, 1 hr AND aquafit cardio 1hr
Thursday: break
Friday: 30min turbo jam
Saturday: 50min turbo jam
Sunday: ?

How's your week going with the exercise?

Tonight is a friends 30th birthday party and it's the first time I'll be exposed to party food and booze. I already planned my drinks and counted them in my daily cals intake (5 1oz Bacardis with Diet 7up (zero cals) and a splash of lime cordial) and am leaving about 450 cals for 'party foods' which I'll limit to straight protein (meatballs, chicken wings, etc) and no pastry or bread based foods.

I can't wait until the clothing sizes go down, though I'm about 18 now, I'm waiting until the monthly measuring and clothing size check (Feb 10) to say for sure what the monthly results are!

Good luck tonight girl! Way to plan ahead! That a girl!

We do have some commonalities! I am part Irish you know also! My mother's side came from Ireland, that is where I get my freckles.. LOL

Have a good time tonight! Sounds like fun!

It's so good to plan ahead. I don't know what to do about my party today.... I know there will be pasta, pizza, kfc for dinner. The 2-3 diff types of cake and jello for dessert! (It's a celebration of 3 february bdays and my grandparents 55th anniversary!) I have NO idea if I can handle it! LOL

Hey,
it is a pleasure to read your diary! I don't suffer from full blown depression, definitely no need for meds, but I do get extraordinarily blue for months at a time. One of the times this happened was when I reached my highest weight. I just gave up on me and felt sorry for myself all the time, it was awful.
I feel that exercise in my case is the answer to the blues... the more I exercise the less I feel depressed and sad. Unfortunately of course when I do start feeling sad I also quit exercising which only makes it worse. Right now doing 4 to 6 days a week 60-90 minutes of exercise is working fantastic for me, and I can see you work out like crazy too (man your tuesday sounds like a killer). Those pheromones should just be flowing everywhere in your brain!

Have a wonderful weekend, Camy

Wow, you're another one getting in LOADS of exercise. I feel like my lack of exercise is probably what's slowing my progress. After next week I will have a little more time in my evenings so I'm planning to see what else I can start doing each week. :)

Anyway... nice work, keep it up x

Hope the party went well. It can be really hard not to get carried away when you're with friends and having fun...

Thanks Isabel!

I'm doing great for exercise and clean eating but the scale hasnot shifted!!! Grrrr

Ignore the scale! It is evil! You cannot trust it! lol....

I was doing well a few days ago, but after the last couple days... I don't know if the scale will still be my friend tomorrow... we shall see. lol
