20to10 - a journey begins with a single step.

Is the turbo jam good? As I'm thinking I might try something new like that. I have some ministry of sound dvds which I enjoy (because its dancy and my type of music) but I find it hard to be motivated to work hard with dvds - much easier when you're in a group and can be seen slacking by everyone else if you don't keep it up! :D x

MJB. Would love to see your goals!

Tutti: it's okay if you stick with it and learn off the routines. I now just use it for my backup home workouts so I've not memorised them yet!

Survey just in? I'm far more likely to breaks sweat going to workout classes than working on my own ESP on cardio. Because my pt postponed our first consultation until Friday I was at the gym today withno set programme of what to do so I did a bit of everything but not enough of anything. The only thing that made me sweat was kettlebells so I will defo do them not sure if you can do them everyday tho. I get bored lazy or impatient on the cardio machines and I think in a class the time flies faster. Will defo sweat more in classses than on my own without a trainer. I still need someone to push me and make me complete the time or sets I'm supposed to. It might be easier when I have s set programme of what to do on each day! Grrr to trainer postponing.

Did my bum lifts and week 3 day 2 of 200 sit up challenge. Felt good to know exactly what to do and how many. Went to cardiobox class which was great but had to leave halfway thru to get my daughter from irish dancing. Must try to stay for whole class nxt tine as I was so sweaty! Must also take hi carbi food for right after! It's usually at least 1.5hrs til I can eatso maybe bringing stuff to gym is a better idea? I'm thinking gluten free crackers and natural peanut butter or something quite carbi that I usually would not eat ESP at night!

Anyway:

food: good at 1400 a bit hi on fat bc had steak
fibre: good! Yay for flax!
Exercise: 6/10 because didn't push myself
mood: eh, got tetchy w j because state of house as I've not been cleaning up after everyone as been focusing on exercise. Just invited to coworker for dinner tomoro so can't wait! She's uber healthy so can eat what's on offer minus rice! I think she said it's a curry! Hooray!!
Size: all 18s some 16s
motivation: hi but just wish I could afford a trainer 3-5 days a week! I needdomeine to push me or I just think "sure 10min is more than enough!" when it's not!! I bought a lotto ticket so you never know! Maybe I'll win and move a diet coach and trainer into the spare room!!

:)

Cardio machines can definitely be boring, that's why it helps to have an MP3 player so at least you have good music to do it to! Also if you have a goal, say learning to run, then on the treadmill you can start with 1 min running, 2 mins walking (do that 3-4 times in the week) then next week do 1 min running, 1 min walking... then 2 mins running, 1 min walking. The you do that all the way up to 10 mins running 1 min walking and by the end you can do a 5 k no problem! The thing with using the treadmill in that way is it keeps your mind busy, you have to think about decreasing the speed or increasing the speed for the running/walking and the time goes by fast, at least it did for me. Plus, then you feel awesome about how you're improving everyweek! So that's just an option for if you want to try something like that. I'm going to start that again, but have to do it outside because I don't have a gym membership right now.

I think the cardio classes are awesome for sure, especially zumba (SO FUN!) If they have zumba at your gym, defninitely check it out. You're dancing to awesome music and sweating a ton at the same time... at least that's how it was the time I tried it :)

Good luck with your PT. Sucks that it was postponed but at least you still worked out!

AGREEEEED! My gym has tvs on all the cardio equipment; THANK GOD. Otherwise I'd be noticing my fatigue and boredom WAY sooner. Uggh.
Keep up the great work :) I also love the goals. You'll make em all :D

People are starting to notice but I'm still so so fat!

This is the GOOD NEWS:

I am a size 16!! That's two dress sizes down! Weee! I tried on dresses in New Look and the 18s were too big and some of the 16s fit perfectly but some were tight. New Look tends to run small. Tried on stuff in Monsoon too and all of the 16s fit and the 18s were waay too big.

BAD NEWS: I seem to be stuck at the same weight again! Ugg...dumb 199!!

I forgot to say I got my hair coloured yesterday back darker and I like it a lot. People have been saying it's very slimming but I don't think so. What would be slimming would be losing 4stone!

:)

That's awesome you're not into the 18's anymore! WOO!

I'm stuck at my 188 too... boo!

Yay! I'm thrilled the clothes sizes are going down. I especially notice the weight loss in the area under boobs. It's good to do the measurements, too, because then you see where the weight loss is coming from.

I have lost a bit in my face (but not enough) but you can't measure your face!

So, let's try to get you past 188 and me past 199 for next week! I can't wait to get out of the 190's but it's still a way to go yet!

Yeah I need to get my measurements done but I feel like I haven't lost enough pounds to warrant doing them yet, lol.

Yeah I want to get out of the 180's so bad but I keep hovering at 188. So yes, next Tuesday I expect to see our numbers go down! SO THERE! lol

Woow down to size 16 already, that is awesome! And you are in "ONEderland"!!! Even if you are stuck at 199... it will budge, remember you got stuck before and your body just needed a little bit of time to relax and let go of the fat!

Have a great weekend, Camy

Yay for getting into those 16s! Your weightloss must be really showing!

I hate how clothes sizes vary from shop to shop though. I've got I pair of size 12 jeans which are hanging off me, another 2 pairs I can barely get into, but then a pair of size 10s which fit!

I know, Isabel! Very annoying. I don't normally shop at NewLook or Penney's (like Primark) but I'm thinking that when I'm inbetween sizes, it's not a bad idea to pick a few cheap things from there to wear.

I have loads of 12/14 and size 10s in the wardrobe and I occasionally try them on to see how they fit. My best friends noticed (when I had on my work out clothes) that my whole shape is changing but not necessarily the weight amount going down, but the weight seems to really falling off the upper part of my torso under my boobs and the bottom part of my abs is still very 'rolly' (as in has a lot of rolls) but the size of the rolls is getting smaller ! Well it's progress, at least.

I had my initiation at the gym and she set out my programme. So, I did most of it yesterday but it'll look something like this:

Monday:
Morning: Cardio and core
Afternoon: weights and Kettlebells
(If hub is not in town, then just the morning)

Tuesday:
Afternoon: Cardio, weights and core

Wednesday: Cardio, kettlebells and core

Thursday: Swimming, weights, core

Friday: Cardio, kettlebells and core

Saturday: Cardio, weights and core

Sunday: Rest

Well, this all is very loose at the moment and the cardio is only 15min since the kettlebells are so cardio that it sounds like a lot more than it is.

I find the core exercises the hardest as I'm so weak there after surgeries and just being so unfit. I think I'm going to ask my friend who is a yoga instructor to help me learn to breathe because I think that's the reason I get so easily winded during cardio or classes. It's because I have no idea how I'm supposed to breathe. If I ever get an appt with the dietician, I'm going to see if she can refer me to someone to help with that. I hold my breath constantly!

Anyway, sunny day here and going to go to the supermarket (boo) with the kids (yay) and then backc home to cook dinner and do some laundry (boo).

THREE more weeks of school until we get a 2 week Easter holiday (BIG YAY!) I have such an amount of work to catch up on for school that I won't have time for much else tho we have a girlie night away planned in Dublin. Woo hoo. It's on April 9 and I'd love to be down another good few pounds before then but at the moment, the scale is stuck fast to 90.4 and doesn't seem to want to shift.

I started taking a megadose of Vit D3 (5000ul) and I'm thinking this should help with my body holding onto the weight. My metabolism is abysmal and despite me working out and eating well, it still seems to be a bit horrid! BOOO!

Hope you all have a great week yourselves!

Hi there; Just waded through your diary and thanks for sharing your inspirational journey. Congrats on losing two dress sizes. Whoo Hoooo!! I love your great workouts and kudos to you for using kettlebells. I'm too uncoordinated to use those. I have visions of dismembering myself, or hitting some poor unsuspecting soul that passes by, or shattering a mirror.
You're maintaing a really good level of realistic calories. Your pics are great. You will reach goal. I was interested to read on your profile that you've lost the same 50 a few times. Yah, I've lost the same 20-40 a few times. LOL Damn those pounds - that's a lot of nerve of them to show up again and again. Don't they know they're unwanted for god's sake??

Have a great week and I look forward to popping in here again.

Hi 2skinny! I'll pop over to your diary tomorrow when I've had a rest! Thanks for stopping by! I'm working really hard and it's nice to have people to talk about it with as no one in my 'real life' needs to lose weight!

So, tonight I went to the gym and did my cardio, resistance (weights) and core work as well as some stretching. Felt great! I hadn't planned on working out on Sundays but tomorrow I'll only have time for kettlebells and core so I thought I'd get it out of the way tonight.

Hooray! I ate a protein bar for lunch, not on purpose, but was out and had to get something and it's stuck in my gut and causing me pain. My body doesn't like the hi density of it obviously. Ouch.

I also drank a supplement drink from the healthfood store, it was 'Gold' shake. It's green and full of vitamins. it's not a musclebuilding or weight loss supplement, just for nutrients. But now my poos are GREEN like a newborns. So strange. Gillian McKeith would be so impressed!

onto something less TMI, I can't wait to wear something nice and cute for my event on the 23rd of April! Yay!

Finally under 90kg at 89.9kg. That's 198.2lbs.

I ate all my exercise calories yesterday so maybe that's something to do w it. I'm going to aim at eating half the exercise cals a day.

Exercised Saturday Sunday tuesday so far. Plan on working out today Wednesday thursday. Thinking I'll try cardio box again tonite.

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi- you're doing an amazing job!!!

Hehe and for someone who didn't like exercise you're managing to do a heap of it! :D:D

Keep it up! xx

Cardio boxing sounds sooo fun. I always think I might buy a dvd and try it out, buuuut then I remember that everything in my house shakes if I try to do anything like that, lollll! We useta have a treadmill in here; walking was ok. But if you even THOUGHT about jogging... well, be prepared to break something, hahahaaaa. Horrible, but oh so true..
You are doing fantastic at everything :) keep it up :D

Jess

we had a different teacher tonight and it was more circuit work than boxing. There were loads of things I couldn't do like crawling backwards on my hands and knees. I just couldn't do it. Got thru 45 min of it and had to go.

Been having a lot of hassles at home with kids and husband. We're just all not getting on. Grrr. This is the kind of situation that makes me want to binge. Taking myself upstairs with Options hot chocolate and prob have a good cry for myself. :(
