Hey girl!

Man you reallyyyyyyyyyyy make me want to try p90x. I'm going to download it in a little bit I think and then do it tomorrow. Lets see if I can hang in there.

Congrats on getting through Interval X! I love how you're thinking of ways to challenge yourself. It takes your mind of off numbers and just push yourself as hard as you can. I love challenges!

Loveeeeee the Cheesecake reward. I work RIGHT in front of a Cheesecake Factory. Do you know how tempting that is?! I think I'm going to join you. My exercise is a bit limited right now due to my foot but I am going to make sure my diet is spot on. I shall treat myself to the dulce de leche on March 22nd!

You're doing a great job. You'll be at your goal in no time. :)

Thanks Jes! I try to find ways to keep myself fired up! I learned last time that I need to challenge myself in order to stay interested and not rely on a place or people for motivation since I had to stop the gym and then stopped everything :)

Omg last night I did something like 200 pushups!! Some on my knees though but would I do that many push ups if I wasn't following a DVD?? Hells no! lol so I was feeling like I could knock out a wall afterwards lol The first time I did that DVD I probably knocked out like 20 all on my knees. It was amazing!! Definitely write how you liked it!! :)

I am really pumped on challenging my fitness! I want to actually feel my results and I love surprising people with what I can do. They are always like it’s just some short, tiny girl she probably can't do much... HOLY CRAP!! WTF.. lol its an awesome feeling.

Also on the 22nd I shall shake my fork with cheesecake twice and that will be my salute to you!! LOL I love it :)

Today my co-worker who hasn't seen me in 3 weeks was like hey you lost weight! lol I think most people know I am working out since we all discussed it in the lunchroom around NYE time. Lemme tell you it's only me and 2 other people who are still working out out of the 7 or so who talked about it. Everyone else eats from the table of temptation and expresses how jealous they are that we are seeing results… SILLY PEOPLE!! They can too they just gotta start now! This co-worker was saying well she works 40 hours a week so she's always tired... and I was like but life doesn’t get less busy until you retire. I don’t know lol All I know is that I personally don’t want to wait any longer!

PS! 9 days until my journal is 1 month! I can't believe it! I still read page 1 to get fired up sometimes! Thanks to all those entries I am where I am today! Love it!!! Appreciating the past and getting ready for the future! :seeya:

Food
Pork w/veggies
Eggs w/tuna
AB+J sandwich

200!!!?!?! Holy cow that's awesome :D I'm impressed :) wow!

Not many people I work with know what I'm doing. A lot have noticed I'm eating pretty healthy (instead of my usual frozen dinner lunch) and a few have noticed (damn pants are too big and i keep having to hike them up). and I've had a few of those ladies as well say how they wish they could do it too - I just want to be like "you can! just switched that crazy calorie muffin you think is a light lunch for what I'm eating (delicious mini turkey wrap on whole grain with a side of cut veggies or whatever I have that day) but what can you do? I guess people will change when they're ready.- I definitely was ready! I didn't want to wait any longer either ;)

Anyways, keep up the amazing work!! and thanks for stopping by my diary - I really appreciate the support :D

200 PUSH UPS?? REALLY? Superwoman!!! Go you!!!

Well done on getting comliments :p doesnt it just feel brillinat??

Keep up the good job girl- and you ll get even better results!!!

Hugs :grouphug:

Thanks!! I love it that people notice! On a completely different note I hadn't seen a friend in a year and shes visiting and she's like why work out you look great already :svengo: LOL She actually saw me last March and I was thinner then I gained and now I'm getting thinner.. the work that I waste is so grueling! Seriously for the past 4 years because I have been working out and then not and then working out I have lost 100 pounds and then regained 120 :smash: Never again.

Last night during plyo I was getting so tired!! I had to write a 6 page paper and I had only done like 2 pages but I realized if i didn't work out soon I would miss a day so I worked out at 9pm which is 2 hours late.. Then since I had enough energy after wards I added the 6 min interval workout. Man that sucked and I only had about 2 hours of sleep so I turned in my paper at school and said I would work from home the rest of the day lol.

Speaking of people I saw a guy that I had seen around NYE too and he was saying how he was going to lose 40 pounds in 3 months or die trying (he looks completely alive to me and he was eating plenty from the table of temptation so I must now doubt his word.. lol). I told him I had been doing p90x and watching what I ate etc etc and he was like yeah you must have a high metabolism.... and I thought... NO thats not what I said I said I had been working out 7 hours a week since January and that I was watching what I ate now :banghead:

Do not make excuses for other peoples success! If my metabolism was super high then I would not have gained 35 pounds last year... You can do it but you must do it. The first step to healthiness is admitting that it is within your own control and then being determined to control things more often then you have in the past.

I think we can all agree that we will eat bad foods occasionally but if we keep putting things off until tomorrow then we wake up one day and realize it's been years of tomorrows. You must try in order to succeed. It is not about making everyday count...just make most days count. If we do more of the eating and exercising then we do the eating bad and lazing around someday we will be where we are at and its completely thanks to all the today's we took advantage of :)

Anyways he made me angreh!! Don't put down my hard work like I didn't do anything. The magic skinny fairy did not come and suck out the fat one night.. DO WORK!! Anyways I guess thats more of a rant lol But maybe someone can get an extra boost today by knowing you are not a talker!! You are a doer and YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving your Bruce Lee quote - seriously there are so many "clever" people out there -telling you what to do & yet very clearly they dont practise it themselves.
About that guy- really its not worth getting angry over it - i m pretty sure he was just hiding his insecurity/failure by making you feel bad. You are doing an amazing job through hard work and the people who count know it!!!!

hugs :grouphug: & keep up the good job!

Thank you!! I am just going to let it go and realize that sometimes people just don’t want to feel bad about themselves so they subconsciously have to make up an excuse that will make them feel better. I will think positively about it and maybe he will get motivated by my success and try to get some of his own.

Thank you!! I’m glad you liked my post! I really get a sense of accountability knowing that other people are reading this. It makes me want to write more goods things! I write my workouts sometimes in advance SO that definitely kicks my butt into gear because I never want to edit the post to say.. got lazy and puttered around instead.

It’s a very mental motivator!

I have been pretty tired during my work outs lately but that hasn’t stopped me from being proud after I completed them. It also hasn’t stopped me from sweating like crazy while doing them either! I had to do yesterday’s workout late and I noticed a definite sourness in my attitude to working out lol Then the 12 minutes of intervals afterwards and then planks!!! Sometimes I do want to walk away but I can’t because the little drill sergeant in my head won’t let me!

I noticed last night that I really wanted something different. Variety is most definitely the spice of life. I haven’t cooked for a bit so this was an obvious warning sign that I probably should. I really wanted some spaghetti again but of course the noodles are sooo carby so I almost dismissed the idea except I remembered that I had been meaning to try spaghetti squash and my local grocery store carried it! They were in stock today and so I got some other ingredients since I’m making the tomato sauce and then I will just add ground beef to it! I got the recipe from the daily apple a loooong time ago but I hadn’t ever made it so now I am excited! My mother in-law tried it and she said it tasted just like spaghetti noodles so hurray!

I also got some full fat greek yogurt at trader joes (completely forgot hemp seeds again!) and some organic carrots. The carrots are to fry and I may try to dip it in the yogurt lol. I realized that I needed more fat then I was eating since I had been on a hard-boiled eggs kick lately.

Also I now have 2 events in April that are going to be bbq’s!!!!! WOW so I guess I won’t even bother scheduling any cheats because they are already scheduled. I guess it will depend on how much I weigh though. I know I will have more bbq’s in May so if I can only have 1 cheat day in April that will be fine. April is super close to may which is super close to June lol so gotta prioritize now.

So I went to go out grocery shopping with my sister and I brought home frozen pizzas for the fiance and he is already cooking one lol. Pepperoni… can I say that it smells delicious??? But not as delicious as cheesecake factory lol 17 days left! Plus my non foody treat (monthly make up sampler) should be coming on the 14th!

:D You are cracking me up with the little drill sergeant and the schedules cheats - LOL - :)

Variety is most definitely the spice of life... i know it s just so easy to make pasta all the time...when i read on about things that are good for skin (i m obsessed) i found a few things that i try to incorporate in my diet. & the variety of vegetables/pulses i eat now- i even impress myself - lol - I have found some amazing (as well as easy and quick) recepies online that really work for me - and even my friends enjoy them too - so i dont have to feel jealous of them eating pizza - as they are the ones who wanna try my food!

& yet again - cool quote :hurray:

Keep up the good job!

Nice!! I am really happy about how many recipes people come up with and share! I usually make snacks which just end up fattening up everyone because there is sooo much sugar and they are usually all addicting too! I love the idea of having like potlucks with friends though! It's so much cooler then always going out to eat at a restaurant when you want to catch up :) You should definitely share some of your top favorite recipes! I get almost everything I make from the daily apple since I'm doing the low carb thing.

The scheduled treats have been so soothing to my inner cheats troll :troll: LOL I have to be like do you want THIS or do you want Cheesecake cause you aren't getting both! So it goes back to its cave and waits patiently lol

Phase 1’s Voice
:hurray:
During Phase 1 my inner voice was super encouraging. Every time I ate bad it said that’s okay just keep exercising and things will still fall off. When I wanted to give up it said but you’re doing so well! Come on you can do this! It knew not to be too pushy that my will to do this was pretty weak so it had to strengthen that will without breaking the spirit.

Phase 2’s Voice
:willy_nilly:
I started to believe that I COULD do this. My inner voice didn’t have to placate as many of my mistakes as it had to the previous the month. I started eating better so it pretty much stayed happy. I would say I can do this! And it repeated YES YOU CAN!!

Phase 3’s Voice
:toetap05:
Here comes the drill sergeant.. When I cry I don’t know if I can do this IT says SUCK IT UP!! You know you can do this you're a WORKOUT WARRIOR now!! It knows I believe in me and that my will is getting stronger. It will never be too mean... I don’t approve of calling myself names lol unless it thinks man you are one tough MF!! LOL I don’t really think there is a phase 4 voice. I know I got this and I know IF I work hard I can do it!

I wanted to share what I would like to look like after I get done. I have certain images I feel are pretty good to what I want to look like (Jessica Simpson, Vanessa Minnillo, Christina Milian, alyssa milano). I like girls who are around my height and I don’t think I will ever get super skinny. Vanessa is 5’7 so I know I may not look like her but I love her look anyways. I’m plenty happy with how I end up looking though. No point in spending the rest of my life wanting someone else's body. I only got this one so Imma love it and take care of it right! I have a pretty round face and a medium build. I really love to wear jeans that are a bit loose with cute V-tops and a baseball cap. That will be me all summer lol I have never worn very many dresses my friends practically fall over dead if I wear one lol

Don’t have much to say about today lol studying and getting projects done!

Keep on doing the good stuff everyone!! :cheers2:

PS I really hope to update my journal sometime with a weight update but I won’t until my TOM is gone since it makes me retain a bit.

Food
Greek Yogurt (probably ¼ a cup if I were to eyeball it)
AB+J Sandwich
Taco meat w/eggs, lettuce
Spaghetti w/squash noodles (review this one next entry!)

Hey girl! :)

First off, 200 push-ups?! You are a BEAST!!!! My arms feel like falling off just reading that.

Ughhh that guy sounds like a moron! "The magic skinny fairy did not come and suck out the fat one night" That totally made me laugh. "Do work" is sooo right! One of my coworkers (and inspirations) lost 80lbs last year by busting his butt. Like working out twice a day and cleaning up his eating habits. His motto has always been "Do work son!" It makes me laugh but I love it. Nothing comes easy, huh? We definitely are putting the work in. Can't wait for the results!

I am loving all the quotes you're sharing. So motivating and encouraging! AND love the pictures. I have a few saved as inspiration on my phone. So those mornings when my alarm goes off at 4:30AM and I am so ready to chuck my phone out the window and just go back to sleep, I go to the photos and see them and bam, up out of bed I go!

You're doing an amazing job! Your food is looking SPOT on and you're kicking butt with all the exercise. AWESOME!

15 days until Cheesecake.

WOW that is amazing! I love it when you have people around you that help boost you up! I feel like they boost your energy and your determination! LOL the countdown to CF is so totally motivational! I would have never guessed that I would go that long lol

Well… Today my workout was a little too interesting. I’ve been working on a project that’s due tomorrow and I was drinking tons of coffee but I wanted to work out earlier so I drank a bit of water and then begin my interval X. Well about half-way I start getting a headache but that’s not too bad then about 10 minutes later I start to get the vomit feeling.

I keep going since there’s about only 10 minutes left and sometimes I can get through it just fine. Well not this time 4 minutes before I am about done I have to run to the trash can but it was more of a dry heave then anything. Anyways I tried to do the last 4 minutes but the room was spinning so I decided to call it a night. I only had 1 minute of real moves and then 3 minutes of rest!! Anyways I shall drink more water before I tackle it next week. I may try to do the 4 minutes I had left tomorrow if I have any energy when I get home and do the tone it up girl’s video I usually tack onto it. We shall see.

The spaghetti was pretty darn awesome! Lots of veggies in it but I baked the spaghetti squash sliced in half face down in a pan and I think I added too much water because it was pretty juicy. Next time I will just cook it whole for longer. I did enjoy the meal though and it was nice adding a different mix of veggies in food.

It’s currently high pressure time and my appetite always increases by huge amounts so I have had to be more conscious of that. I have been chewing more gum since I know I should be full but it’s probably also a bit because I haven’t been drinking very much water and they say you can mistake thirst for hunger.

:waving:

Food
AB+J Sandwich
Spaghetti w/spaghetti squash
Burger w/eggs (They taste better with cheese squished into a bun lol)
¼ cup of yogurt

Drink
Coffee w/skim milk
Ice Water

Exercise

HEY you! well done on keeping up with your workout routine & healthy eating even when you are under pressure! So proud of you!!!! :hurray: :hurray:

your menu just reminded me to get almond butter! (still havent tried - i wish the were sold in small quantities cryyyy!)
hmmm but to be honest i m a bit scared too - cos since i dont eat bread (eat cereals instead) i m losing more weight...maybe i m just imagining it....i ll see.

hugs :grouphug:

Ok so I had to read back a bit & catch up on all I've missed so this may be a bit random but I had to add my 2 cents!

That guy is such a butthead! We are definitely doers, people don't just think of losing weight and have it fall off! However, I have a feeling my Mom will have similar comments when she sees me making progress... :banghead:

I've also been on a total hard boiled egg kick, so yummy! & only like 75 calories a piece! Not bad for breakfast & the protein/vitamins/minerals in eggs are great {I'm currently in a class thats teaching me how great eggs are for you! They have 13 essential Vitamins/minerals, only excluding vitamin C & have healthy unsaturated fats!}

You can do this girl, Keep it up!! :seeya:

Thanks!! If I hadn't gotten serious this past January I know I would have been baking up a chocolate storm right now! I think that if what you're doing is working just keep it up and if you want to have a splurge day then maybe try some almond butter. I wouldn't want you to gain some of the weight you have been working so hard to get off! I also eat Ezekiel 4:9 Bread with my sandwiches rather then just any old bread. For me its been really filling since its a heavy bread. Its flax and soy. Anyways I love it! I won't eat normal bread anymore.

Yeah eggs are so awesome and you can do soooo many things with them! I love them. My mom also gets super amazed when I lose weight but when I tell her what I have been doing I can actually see her interest fade away lol

It's taken me 29 years to just accept diet and exercise is a permanent way of life and there are no easy solutions. I guess I'm just glad it didn't take me longer.

I finally got to step on the scale today!!

140.6!!!!!

I have happily been eating according to the primal blueprint but I use the scale to decide if I need to cut back on anything. Since I added the full fat greek yogurt I was pretty sure it would still keep me going on the down ward slope but since I haven’t used the scale in a while I was just hoping things were going okay.

I was talking to my fiancé about things being 80% diet and 20% exercise. It was funny because he had never heard that. Then he went online and told me how long it would take him to burn off one of the granola bars he eats lol.

In the beginning I feel like I lose weight as long as I am consistent with exercise and not going crazy with food but man once I start getting smaller. Every piece of food counts but the awesome thing is once I get to the smaller weight it’s easier for me to go back to my smaller weight so I will eat a cheeseburger from my favorite cheeseburger place once a week and still be able to maintain a small size. The hardest part is getting down to the smaller weight. I will be so happy when that happens!

This isn’t the first time I have lost this weight so I know what my body is capable of. I know that even with muscle gain I can reach 125 pounds. I know that most likely I will probably continue to lose a decent amount of weight until the lower 130’s then I may stall for a bit.

I have already planned that if I see the same weight on the scale for 2 weeks that I will up my carbs to 100-150 for 2 weeks and then bring it back under 100 again. That way I can shake up my metabolism a bit.

It may take me a month or so to get from 130-125 and about a month to get from 125-123. I plan to use cheats to shake up my metabolism too but controlled and pre-planned cheats. I’m not 100% sure I will be 125 by June but even if I’m not I will be really happy with myself. I will just keep on eating healthy and working out and it will come in time.

My main concern has been to get from 160-130ish. Everything beyond that is simply a bonus. I will definitely keep an eye on my weight but as long as I don't get crazy with food then the rest should fall off with time.

My 30th birthday is next year and I don’t plan on spending any more of my years not loving my body!

So much stuff to do for the next week and a half ugh!! Less than 2 weeks to my treat day!! Life is sweet!

Yesterday

Food
Spaghetti w/squash noodlesx2
Some greek yogurt
Scrambled eggs
AB+J Sandwich

Drink
Coffee w/skim milk
Ice Water

Exercise (short 20ish minute workout)
Tone it up girls 6 min interval x2, Last 5 minutes of Interval X, 4 minutes of plank attempts

This was supposed to be rest day but since I didn’t finish the night before I just added it in the morning. I don't like leaving things undone.

Today

Food
Spaghetti w/squash noodles
BBQ chicken
AB+J Sandwich
Some Greek Yogurt

Drink
Coffee w/skim milk
Ice Water

Exercise (Start of week 10!!!)
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, Tone it up girls 6 min interval x2, 4 minutes of plank attempts

Yay its been a month +1 day recording food on this and 2 months 5 days since I started my p90x journey! If I hadn't gotten serious I would be 20 pounds heavier and loads unhappier!

aww man I tried to respond earlier but it didn't post. darn connection ;)

Anyways what I was trying to write was waaahooo!!! 140.6!! That's so awesome :D Everything you do is definitely paying off :D

When's your birthday? Are you 30 in 2011 or 2012?

Hey you!!!well done on the weight loss!! wooohoooo  you rock girl!

Bread..Ezekiel? havent heard of it - i ll check it out.

80-20 so true...you know what you can lose weight - just by eating the right things and not doing excercize - but there s no way you can lose weight with a bit of excercize and overeating (that was me at uni)

Nice planning and organizing! & i m doing a bit of that too.
I m positive that your your hard work will pay off!!! :)
I should be reaching my goal by July...but i m afraid me going to the US will jepordize it a bit...i ll be there for over 2 weeks. Last time I was stateside i put on 10 lbs in 2 weeks!!!!!
So this time i m plannig on mantaining my weight. I dont think i ll be able to lose: eating out and eating with friends etc - not a chance on losing.

I m turning 30 too - this July...so would be nice to look amazing for the big event - fingers crossed!

Keep up the good job! :grouphug:

I just turned 29 in January :) Which got me a little pissed since I had looked and felt awesome on my 28th Bday thanks to regular exercise and good eating. So on my 29th Bday I pretty much swore that I would look amazing on my 30th bday.

Since it had taken me 9 months before to get toned and fit I wanted to give myself plenty of time to repeat my success. Then I figured it would be September and I would have to survive the holiday season without gaining too much so it occurred to me I had to start right away!

Plus I figured why would I wait until the last minute just so I could look good on my 30th birthday because life was happening before and after that lol

The bread is made from sprouted grain.. I don't know if that means really anything lol but its good stuff!

Our proportions are huge!!! So I would definately aim to eat half whenever you go out and if it will taste decent later then take the other half back to where you are staying. I really love leftovers anyways. Trips are soo hard to lose weight on anyways but maintaining is an awesome goal! I feel like local grocery stores are definitely your friend so you can go and grab a nice big bottle of water and some healthy in hotel room snacks.

You totally got July nailed if you keep doing the amazingness that you have been doing! Also I think that 2 week vacation could be used as a really good way to shake things up so when you come back the scale could start going down like crazy.

Also my friend tried exercising but refused to give up fast food but said she would just not eat as much fast food. Anyways she did end up losing weight but she eventually gave up. I think some of it is that we need a bit of time away from that kind of food to feel okay not eating it.

I had my cheeseburger and fries and I wanted to go the next week to do it again. But then the week after that I wasn't into it anymore. If I hadn't had that break then I would still be going and eating there.

:cheers2:

Currently writing a very boring paper and then I am done with 1 of my classes!! YES then 2 more finals next week and its spring break.. o man I love it! Then its cheesecake factory!

Cheesecake factory saved me yesterday. My fiance was going to the store and he asked if I wanted anything and I thought of a chocolate bar... but then I thought of the piece of cheesecake I was treating myself to and I said NO WAY! A dinkly little chocolate bar in exchange for a day of delicious pasta and a big ass piece of cheesecake.. seriously no contest!

My sister got inspired to start p90x again which I was super excited about. My sister seems to exercise better when i start exercising so I'm always happy to spread the working out love :hurray:

Today is actually so nice outside!! I'm a bit angered by this as I have to stay in and do a boring paper and study for finals.. but I'm excited that next week after I'm done maybe it will be decent enough to go on a hike or something like that

Food

Corned beef w/eggs (The corned beef is canned LOL my fiance thinks thats so gross but I grew up on it and spam and rice.. so yeah)

AB+J

Moroccan-Inspired chicken with Sauteed Kale and Grilled Lemons (primal blueprint recipe but they wanted quail but I've got too much chicken)

Drinks
Tea (Found out the new coffee my fiance bought on interval x night makes me a bit sick)
Ice water

Exercise
Plyo
Tone it up girls 6 min intervals
