if you can't find it locally - there are mail order places that will ship vacuum packed, frozen tuna/salmon and other fishes to you - when I lived in new jersey my local sushi bar used to get it that way becausse it was cheaper in the long run - and just as tasty...
 
Maybe it's becuase I got up so early this morning, but I am very hungry today...food so far today:

5:30am: 3 egg whites, 1/4 cup beans
7:30am: Protein shake
9:15am: Orange, 1/4 cup raw almonds, yogurt
11:30am: Baby carrots, 1/2 cup cottage cheese

I've eaten 4 times and it's not even lunch yet? What's up with that?
 
it's the fish you can get mail order -you still have to cook the rice and roll it up - but the fish is quite tasty :)

you pmsing today or something? :D or pregnant? maybe stoned? or you're just hungry :) you're eating good stuff sonothing wrong with what you're eating
 
I think I'm just plain hungry...I've now had my 5th meal (post workout protein shake) and I'm running at about 950 calories so far.

Just had the first of what I hope to be very regular lunchtime workouts. I feel kinda queesy...maybe because I haven't been lifting very much...I dunno...I took a page from Steve's workout advice after I did my leg rehab (short)

One-legged presses 3x10reps
Stability ball hamstring curls 3x10reps
Bench press 5x5reps
Barbell rows 5x5reps
Standing barbell press 3x8reps
Lat pulldowns 3x8reps

Pretty decent workout. I'm not sure how long it took me, but I was gone for about 1hr 15min and I had to go pay for my parking pass then sign up for the gym membership, so I was at the most working out for 45min. Quick shower and back to work. 2hrs of karate tonight.

I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. And the next day... :D

I did well for most of the day yesterday. Weight workout at lunch and karate class at night.

Unfortunately there was bit of a get-together afterwards. So the damage was 2 bottles of beer (light) 3 slices of medium pizza and some chips. Doh!

Well, I guess that was one of my cheat meals for the week and I have to make sure I eat well for the rest of the week.

Feeling a bit tired today though...all that activitiy and being up at 5am yesterday is leaving me a little sleepy. Today is a rest day, and I'll do my best to get into bed at decent time.

Pizza well -that's got all the food groups so how could it be bad?
Chips? well - i'm sure I can come up with areason why it's not bad :D

Today should be take a nap day.. so take a nap :D
 
Well, I guess if you call pepperoni, ham & bacon all the food groups...then sweet!

I have trouble not snacking when bad stuff is right in front of me...ah well...

You know Mal...I think there should be naps at work...think of the productivity increase after a good power nap...that should be reason enough!
 
So last night in karate we're doing this one particular stretch...I beleive it's one that grapplers do (ie brazilian jiu jitsu, etc) where when you're lying down and you bring your legs back over your head and touch your feet (or knees that can do that) to the floor behind your head...think of a pretzel...so anyway...we're doing that stretch and I can feel this lump preventing me from stretching as far as I usually do...it's my gut that's in the way! That made me very sad :( and very determined to get into good shape.
 
Good morning 12Pack! I wouldn't sweat your cheat meal at all...you had it AFTER karate...so I think you did okay. Sometimes I am guilty of being too OCD about this process...and I have to remember to relax a bit.
 
Good morning Bethann...I sometimes get a little hard on myself too...

I did burn a hell of a lot of calories yesterday...and I'll be eating well for the rest of the week, so I guees it's no biggie. Thanks! :)
 
Yeah, it's no biggie. What would become of us if we couldn't indulge in a little pizza and beer once in a while?? I don't even want to consider the consequences of that scenario.
 
Oh doc - at least you have hope for getting rid of the lump in the way. My lumps where permenant features! ;)

Thanks M...I just get a little discouraged...but I'm renewing my passion for getting there, so that's the important part.

I tracked all my food and activities (even the cheat stuff) and it's telling me that I burned 4700 calories and ate 3450..so a deficit of 1250 calories or so. Seems high, but I guess it's possible.
