Yikes...that's a lot of auto repairs going on...sorry to hear...and accident?!? What happened? Are you ok?

The accident wasn't mine - bob passed out while driving through an intersection.

all is ok now, but life was a little stressful around the end of february it's better now

Good morning!

I've been burying my head in the sand Sophie...but I'm glad to be back!

And no...no wings...and no beer last night either...but I did have some homemade cookies though...oops...but they're soooo good.

Off to a decent start today...eating ok and I brought plenty of good food with me so that I don't have to go out and get something that I shouldn't. And after a being a chain-coffee-drinker over the last month, I'm cutting back. This week the most I've had in a day is 4...which is less than half of what I was having the week before. Crazy, I know. Trying to drink lots of water as always, and having some green tea as well.

Breakfast: Protein shake - 1 scoop Protein powder (26g protein), banana, frozen blueberries and 2% milk.
Snack: Banana and 1/3 cup of almonds
Lunch: Tuna wrap (tuna, low fat mayo & some relish and alfalfa sprouts) with a baby spinach salad (olive/flax oil, balsamic vinegar) and probably two of those homemade oatmeal raisin cookies

And I'm off to check out the gym at 1:00.
 
God...I hope so M....it's a definite yo-yo thing with me...I'll go through months where I'm super motivated and get amazing progress...then I'll hit a stumbling block, get depressed and start a downward spiral for a while...very frustrating.

I'm even starting to take stairs to the 7th floor instead of taking the elevator...twice a day..five days a week...or at least that's the plan. Trying to do lots of things right.

I checked out the gym and I think it's perfect. It's fairly small as far as commercial gyms go, but it has all the equipment I need. A good variety of 2 lines of stregth machines, good free weights set up, and decent cardio equipment (although I don't think i'll be on the cardio equipment other than a 10min warm up). The also have some fitness classes - I'll be doing the core conditioning every tuesday.

So I guess my days will be something like this:

Strength training (between 30-45min or so) - Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Core conditioning class - Tuesday
Karate - Monday, Wednesday & Saturday
Plus when the weather is nice, I think I'll ride home from karate on Saturdays and go for a long ride on Sundays.

So I guess that would leave Thursdays as my day off.

Hmm...am I planning to do too much? That's like 8 workouts a week...oh well...the workouts are varied and I'll have plenty of rest between sessions.
