Great log! I have the same goal to lose 100 lbs. I was shooting for September when I turn 40, but I have only been fluctuating up and down. Now my goal is to lose the 100 lbs by my 41st birthday.
I will be checking out your log for motivation.

Does anyone know if it is possible to suscribe to a log?

...Im eating Chicken breast with fresh roasted green chili;s and garlic for lunch...yummy......Im putting it on top of a rice cake..lol....delicious!!! Got some steamed asparagus too.

Today I did pretty good.....I didnt eat enough I guess....Im showing 2150 calories...hmmmmm.....I swear I was eating all day long.......

oh well, I'm not hungry...so I'm not going to eat more.....so there !!!!

I just got back from another short bike ride.......shorter than yesterday because my knees are killing me!! lol...and I have "Bike-seat-butt" that feels like somebody was kicking me in the hoo-hoo's while I wasnt looking...:ack2:

oh well......I'll live...and I did get out on the bike.

I dont really have anything else planned tonight except watch the olympics, and lift some weights...probably hit the heavy bag a bit to vent some bad mojo.


I better have a protein shake or a power bar.........I am way below my intake.......just dont feel like it.


p.s.: I havent had any food cravings since I started this....thats the most suprising thing to me so far.....

Ill change the art up a bit tonight: go a little "psycho-impressionistic"

Bike seat butt, I know all about those, just takes time and it goes away. It does hurt quite a bit though. Glad to see food is not an issue for ya. I'm finding myself always hungry, but I know I ate enough so I need to just fill up on water I guess.

Ya today is day three back on the bike......the butt seat really hurts for the first minute or two, then Im good......It was hot this afternoon on the ride, but the wind felt great!


I drink loads of water too...I mix it up every now and then by puttin a little crystal light powder in the bottle for variety.
 
Gawd....wanna hear what I ate today??? frick! I ate all day !!! lol.


OK here goes. I ate:

Oatmeal with banana in it
1/2 grapefruit
Kashi TLC granola bar
mixture of chicken,roasted green chilis, garlic and peas, with cumin
2 rice akes
2 servings of cottage cheese
1 cup light & Fit yogurt
Mixed Nuts
2 power bars
salad with ceasar dressing
carrots, celery, cauliflower, tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber slices
4 grape sized peanut brittle clusters that my friend had...lol
2...yes...2 chicken/broccoli/cheese Lean Pockets
and at least 96 oz of water...three Nalgene bottles

and that all adds up to 2450 calories.......I can still eat 200 calories and STILL be within my 20% BMR deficit to keep in the two pounds lost a week.!!!

... I entered a Burger King Double Whopper with cheese, king size fries, and a large drink into the FitDay calorie calculator.........lol

...I used to eat that for ONE meal......

...know how many calories it was?

It was almost 2000 calories!!!

some days I ate fast food twice a day!!!

no wonder I got to be a whale......or a herd of whales......:hat:
 
I made a chart that shows the calories I can take in for every ten pounds lost

It looks like for every ten pounds I lose I will have to cut about 30-40 calories a day.


Now my calorie target (the 20% deficit) is 2670 calories per day

When I get to 220 ounds it will be about 2295 calories per day

Then my target of 180'ish will be 2020 calories per day.


...kinda cool.


Im two pounds to go to get into the next calorie target of 2635....

I used to be a big fast food guy. I had meals, which I recently calculated, and some where OVER 2000 calories.

Really really bad, and I too would eat fast food sometimes 3x a day if there wasn't any food. I was still at home and couldn't grasp the concept of food shopping on my own.

I'd love to help as much as I can, I'm no expert....I just started this exorcism three weeks ago.....


but I have made my mind up, and am not compromising anywhere. Im pretty willful when I decide to do something.


I bet you couldnt force a snickers down my throat these days.....I just decided enough is enough.

I also made very good use of these forums, the internet for lots of research, and I am still tweaking my strategy.

...so I am definately not an expert right now........talk to me in 49 weeks......I should be by then ;)

I wish!! I just don't have that kind of will power I guess. I'm still fighting to stop at one serving of M&M's for my "cheat snack" I've got a sweet tooth that makes most people cringe.
Good job with the 15 so far, with the way you're going you'll be at your 100 pound loss sooner than you'd think. Keep at it!

Oh I just had to say-- your avatar cracks me up every time I see it. Oh the poor kitties. :D
 
Yeah, dedication is key, you need to be dedicated to eating right and dedicated to getting and staying fit.
