Cate's Diary

Thanks, Liza. Today is the day after my fast. I'll monitor my energy levels on different days & keep an eye on it. I'm ok to do some stuff on a FD, but not the day after usually. Monday's & Thursdays suit me best.
My mood improved a lot & I have had a really good day. I did some gardening this afternoon & just littered around.
Hi, LaMa. Much better thanks, hon xo

That's interesting, about it being the day after a fast that the body is feeling the effects.
I'm glad things have gone better today - no wonder you were a bit done in yesterday, when you add up everything for the past few days, including last weekend - wonderful, but pretty tiring, I expect.

It's funny, Amy, but I think the day after a FD I'm just not fuelled up, but on the actual FD I probably have enough in the tank form the day before. Maybe?
It has been a funny week really, but I do feel so much better tonight.

Cate, I read that if you take good care of your teeth, your life expectancy goes up. I wonder if that's a casual effect or just a by-product of the fact that you generally take good care of yourself / can afford to do so?

I liked the sound of taking a walk in nature to balance yourself. It reminds a little of my walks on the beach.

Hi cate glad your days improved after your woozy day . Could have been after dental stress too . Happy you are getting back to yourself

Nice to hear you're feeling better Cate. That is interesting about feeling the low-food effect more the next day, than the day of...good that you're keeping note of these things so you can work around it a little.

Maybe a little bit of both but I seem to remember a specific correlation between caries and heart issues.
Cate, I know this is going to sound pedantic on the internet but as a non-native speaker I´m genuinely curious. I saw this:
My stationery bike is very...
stationery
...and just now I noticed Petal also used the word "stationery" for Rob´s exercise bike. I thought stationery with an e meant stuff to do with paper and letterheads and something which doesn´t move gets a second a instead. Is this regional variation or am I just wrong?

Hi, Jack, Liza, Petal & LaMa.
I'm in a bit of a rush as I'm heading to golf at 8 am.
LaMa- just a mistake. We never say stationary bike, so it's something I just call them here & it's just a spelling mistake, although usually, I would never say just a spelling mistake! We call them exercise bikes.
Better go! I'll be back later :)

I have not been moving enough lately (except for my day at the dentist) & need to get out into nature to restore some mental balance. Anxiety kicks in when I don't & I just feel out of sorts- worrying about nothing/everything. My whole body feels really tense at the moment. Today I will get out & about & go for a walk in the bush.

I think feeling like this and knowing what the solution is is so important. I don't know if when I was younger, I could understand my emotions and why I would get down sometimes. Now, I know that a simple walk or run or a yoga session will really help to restore balance. Good for both for us I think!

Enjoy the golf.

:iagree: Em. If only we had known that simple exercise would have turned around all sorts of situations/stresses/emotions. It is good that we know that now & also good to share that, I think. Simple things can make such a difference.
I have had a really good day at golf. It was the annual championships of our golf social club & I ended up playing with 3 men, none of them my husband. I'm not sure what happened there. Anyhow, I was in a cart this time with one of our male friends. I just didn't worry about the day or my game. I didn't give myself a chance, so just didn't worry. It was wet & not a nice day & I played some good shots & some bad shots, but overall was reasonably happy with my game & enjoyed the company. When I came in the pro said I was running 2nd & I assumed he meant I was running 2nd out of the women & there were only 3 of us. He gave me a funny grin & I didn't think much of it. He's the pro who I had one lesson with about a month ago.
My friend, M who gave me the clubs came first overall, the 3rd woman came 2nd overall & I was third. We did not have separate women's championships- we 3 women came in 1st, 2nd & 3rd out of everyone. I am very happy about that. I am absolutely chuffed!

I´m secretly hoping this was at your "old" club and the captain went bananas with frustration :rotflmao:

Cate how wonderful you ladies beat all the men . Go girl power .
And a good day out aswell .
I am really needing to get my exercise going again. My head misses it .

LaMa I think it’s safe to assume a lot of my words typed contain typo mistakes and plus I find it hard to focus on small print . It’s not too bad today but sometimes it’s a struggle .

Oh, well done! Cheers for you and M and the 3rd! :hurray:
