Cate's Diary

Thanks, Hana. I hope so too. He had a much better night last night.
I'm taking my Fitbit back today as it's not working properly. It won't get past the first screen! It's quite annoying as I can't put in my set exercise (eg golf). I hope they give me a replacement.
I'm fasting for an ultrasound this morning & am ravenous! I am in 2 minds whether to do IF again. Hunger makes me cranky.

Things that make you feel weak or cranky even after you've been doing them for a while may just not be ideal long-term. That said: I don't know what would work better for you. Early dinners with no eating afterwards? Fingers crossed for the Fitbutt!

I agree. I might go back to counting calories & walking more.
Waiting for a haircut :D Going short!!! Yay!!!

Got a very short razor cut :D
Had my Fitbit replaced without any problems. Got home & charged it. Everything worked properly. Re-set it to my exercises. Same thing happened. I thought I was going nuts. Once again, when I pressed the button the exercise option wouldn't come up. Went to the Fitbit online forum & found the problem. Golf. Putting golf as an exercise option steps it working properly. I'll ring the IT guy from the store tomorrow to let him know as it had him stymied too. It's a glitch with the latest update apparently! So until it's fixed my golf will be under hike!
I'll come back tomorrow to tell you about G's ap't today. He appears to be clear of Cancer, which is the best thing.

Awesome, congratulations! About the Fitbit... I'm sure They want you to believe it's a simple software error but in reality They want to stop the... No! They're coming!

Thanks, Hana. It is the best thing. The incontinence is horrible for him, but hopefully, that will improve. G is going to have a cystoscopy sometime in the next month to see if there is a problem with his waterworks.
The system had failed with G. The young trainee doctor(!) at the hospital was shocked that no-one had seen him to tell him the tests were clear. She was shocked that the specialist had not organised a follow-up visit. She was shocked that he was suffering from incontinence. The poor thing. She was out of her depth & went & got the senior registrar who came & sat with us & got things rolling as they should have been. We had been thinking it was all a bit weird, but weren't 100% sure what would normally happen. He was really good. We really thought he would have seen the specialist by now & he still hasn't. I think I will just ring them up.

We had been invited on a bus trip to a race meeting that we used to go to & G has been agonising over it as he didn't want to say no & seem like a spoil sport. I rang the guy last night & explained the situation & he was very understanding. G just isn't comfortable with the idea of spending a whole day worrying about leaking. I don't think he was at all keen anyway as it's a big boozy day. I know I wasn't.

It is crazy about the Fitbit glitch LaMa, but at least I worked it out. It was not making any sense as I could see it worked properly when I brought the new one home. I got a purple one this time.
Time to scoot xoxo

It sounds like some jock/software programmer has a poor opinion of golf.

I'm sorry that G is having those problems. I hope they can get him fixed up in short order.

Thank you LaMa, Q & LJ. I don't think I'll tell him that he has a lot of cheerleaders in the forum, though. :blush5: It is nice to know :beating:

On a good note-
I played one of my best golf games ever yesterday. I couldn't do much wrong. I had a net 65 & won my division by 10 shots. I also won the putting, which is very unusual for me. There are 4 women who played yesterday who are brilliant putters & one of them usually wins it. I just felt really relaxed & confident & played out of my derriere. I had 4 pars & only one putt on 10 of the 18 holes. Ah......golf....it's a crazy game, but I love it! We are playing a pre-season cup at the moment, over 5 weeks & the winner is whoever has the best 3 net scores. There's one week left. I think my best 3 are well in front of anyone else so far. The main thing is that I am really enjoying myself again.

Then, when I got home G & I managed to get the sheep into the little yard, ready to be shorn tonight.

Then we went to 8-ball & our team won 10-5.

All in all, it was a very good day!

I love golf. Well i love it as far as video games go. When im more able i might go to a driving range and just c where it goes from there.

Thanks Q :)
Thanks Jen :)
Hi Rebel. Golf is a great game. Is there a mini golf course near you (put put)? I love golf!

Sheep- :flame::(:frown::willy_nilly:
The shearer came & when he started setting up 3 bolted & broke through the fence. I won't tell you all the sorry saga, which involved him forgetting to bring an extension cord, to add to our 3........the wool being almost useless, due to weeds.......I could almost cry! G is out at the golf club doing the bar for the Chicken Run(we were both meant to) & I have opened a bottle of wine.
Our son, D, just delivered a Lemon Meringue Cheesecake, which is sitting in the fridge. One of the Parks guys he works with & his wife make beautiful cheesecakes & I ordered one. G & I often joke about lemon meringue cheesecake as it's something we both often crave. Apparently it is perfectly freezable, which will be a very good idea. It looks sensational!

Bloody sheep! Grrrrrrr. I think these sheep have to go & we'll have to get some sheep that don't need shearing.
I just noticed that LaMa is online. Hi LaMa! Hope you're feeling a bit better hon xoxo

Thanks Cate! Got cut off by my phone running out of juice. In your place I´d be tempted to have shawarma, by the way. I´m sure it´d be lovely with the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake :p
