Cate's Diary

Feb plan- log everything I eat & drink on My Fitness Pal for the whole month. Note it in my diary.

Disc golf really looks like fun
My brother-in-common-law is big into disc golf, he has a duffle bag filled with 15-20 discs, and probably puts in 3-4 miles of good walking every weekend. Plus he wins money sometimes, though I'd guess he breaks even with entry fees and disc replacements.

Side note, I have the hardest time not saying "Frisbee golf".

Looks like you have a beautiful place, Cate. I love living where I do too - we have about 4 acres but I miss the farm - where we had 320 acres. Living in the country is a lot of work but so worth it in the end.

But they cross the road, which can cause serious accidents, and nobody seems to know why :(
Glad to see someone's picked up the slack on my weird jokes in my absence. Thanks for the assist LaMa. :D

Sorry for ghosting, but I'm glad to see you here, Cate!!!

It's all about the Feb plan!!

A girl I used to work with said that she never started her New Year's resolutions until February, because January is just too dark and depressing and you're so much more likely to fail. Actually, this doesn't really apply in Australia - but regardless, Feb is the time to kickstart anything. :p

LaMa- I think I just need to step back & reassess as I am starting to eat just a little more each day & I can feel the weight creeping back on. It's time to stop doing this. I actually feel a bit queasy reading about some food. I just read Matt's "cheat day" food & really did feel sick. My body is trying to tell me something.
LJ- I agree. It's Frisbee golf!
Cowboy- Thank you. It is lovely & it is worth it. I know we would miss it if we moved. It's a beautiful place.
& I'm glad that you're back Vee! LaMa has wicked & whacky sense of humour & I love it. The forum will feel right with you back xo
Emily- I think your friend's idea is a good one. January is VERY sociable here, so Feb is a better time to start resolutions. I am actually really looking forward to doing something constructive. I don't like feeling like I do right now. How I managed to cope with being 30kg more than I am right now I have no idea. I feel like a bloated frog!
Time to get moving. It's Vet's golf today & I'm doing the bar. G & I are going for a walk in the middle of the day, & hopefully he'll play next week. He is getting better each day. I think he may have turned a corner with the incontinence. He has gone from waking for a pee 7 times a night to 5 times a night, to 3 times a night.....which is what he was doing before the op. During the day is much better too. He's feeling much better mentally because of it.
Better scoot xoxo Cate

It's the last day of January & I am looking forward to starting a new plan tomorrow. I had a healthy day today. Had cold meat, cheese, tomato & a little tub of yoghurt for breakfast, a chicken & avocado wrap, with salad for lunch & have had 2 glasses of red wine. I'm about to have some Venison meatballs & salad for dinner, probably followed by a fresh fruit platter. G & I walked a fair bit today & I will be in deficit. Tomorrow I will weigh in. I'm not looking forward to that, but I know it's fixable. I'm also playing 18 holes of golf tomorrow. Starting Feb 1 I will log absolutely every morsel into MFP for a whole month. That will make me think about everything I consume. My profile is at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/cateaussie BTW I'm not 99 years of age. :D I'll open up my diary for the month so you can see what I eat (& drink). Let me know who you are on here if you want to add me on MFP. I'm pretty good at keeping my "lives" separate. I'm looking forward to my own February challenge. I can see 2kg vanishing!

Cate i love my fitness pal. I really haven't found any food or brand that they dont have in their database.
Do u know what kind of plan your going to start?

Have you both added. G & I just had some lemon meringue cheesecake so that won't tempt me anytime soon. I feel HUGE! Groan....

The cheesecake had me feeling queasy when I woke up too. We do not need it Rebel, we do_ not_need_cheesecake :( *groan*

Well I have 6kg minimum to lose. My February plan has started. I have logged what I had for breakfast on MFP. 2 eggs on oat sour dough (370 cals). I'm playing golf today.
I feel unbelievably fat & uncomfortable just because of the extra 2kg I am carrying around. I know it sounds crazy. I think I might do a 500 cal fast tomorrow to make myself feel better!
Bye for now, Cate

;)

2kg is nothing Cate. I really admire how you've managed to maintain a healthy weight after the initial high of seeing the pounds slide off. How long ago was it when you were heavier and decided to make a change? And how long did it take you?
