WillLose's Journey to 120!

I have lost 25 lbs with the Wii over the past 3.5 months with the Wii! I think it's a good investment. I like the new Wii Sports Active. You can make custom workouts that last as long as you like. I just made a 10 minute upper body strength training workout this morning. I think I'll make another one this afternoon. My mom wants to try out the Wii Fit, but she's a wee bit shy. She doesn't want to exercise in front of other people. I don't either, but it seems like whenever I start to exercise, a crowd forms around me to watch me. It's sort of embarrassing and kind of funny at the same time. At least I can laugh at myself.

I just found out I'm not babysitting today, so I can workout all day long if I want. It's 11:30 a.m. and I've done a 10 minute strength training workout and 31 minutes dancing/bowling. I really had a great time with it! My steps are already up to 4,165!

Hi 18%!

I'm using a Sportline pedometer. I want a Omron ped., I've heard they are the best, but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Had a terrible bout of insomnia last night and finally gave up trying to sleep around 3:30 a.m. Felt really energized. Started my workout routine 4:45 a.m. with a round of bowling for 10 minutes and then went into a 10 minute strength training video. Then did 40 minutes of "Dance Bowling" where I danced in between frames. By that time, my sister and my nephew arrived. I think it was 6:30 or something like that. Later in the day, I took a 15 minute walk (wanted to go longer, but had an appointment). Umm... what else... does playing in the yard with my niece for an hour count? She had me push her on the swing for 20 minutes and BOY does my back hurt!

I've had my pedometer on pretty much since I woke up at 3:30 a.m. because I was feeling so energized. I wanted it to count. It's up to 12,608 and it's only 5:20 p.m. I think I did well today. Bought some protein-type stuff at the store (though was sad that I couldn't find the EggBeaters :( ).

So I guess that equals out to 75 minutes of exercise (not counting the time playing outside with my niece).. I want to get some more strength training in before the day is over. May do the video over again. It really wasn't too bad! I've discovered that I'm addicted to cardio though. It's just so much more fun :) My eating is icky though :(

Darn, I forgot to write down yesterday's steps... they were somewhere around 13,300 steps for the day! Today I woke up normal time, 5:30 a.m., but still didn't really sleep well last night. Gotta speak to the doctor about upping my meds or something. This is not working for me.

So far today I've had 45 minutes exercise... 10 minutes strength training to start off the day and then 35 minutes bowling to continue. I'm thinking about going hiking at the park if the weather holds up and it's not too hot. Maybe for an hour or two. Don't really enjoy going alone, but I can't seem to get anyone to go with me! It's sad. What if I promise to walk really slowly hehe:)

Planning to go do a little grocery shopping today. I want some EggBeaters and I really do enjoy hard-boiled egg whites. Used to just eat 'em plain. Or make them into an egg salad sandwich type of deal. My dietitian's getting down on me about protein, so those sound like good options. Had wondered about Starkist tuna and salmon packets (I LOVE salmon!), but I think they have too much sodium... I'll have to look at the actual package, but I read online that they have 350 grams sodium and are only 90 calories? That seems a little weird to me. But they are very high in protein, I believe. We shall see.

Starting yesterday, I am doing push-ups, sit-ups, and lunges. 100 each, per day.

Exercised until I think I injured myself yesterday... oh man am I in pain! I think I pulled something in my thigh/knee. I did 60 minutes cardio, 30 minutes strength training, and 30 minutes walking, plus the above mentioned stuff. I think I will take some ibuprofen and only do *gentle* exercises today. No jumping around for me today! Sorry!

Sadly enough, I have maintained for about a week. My weight went up during my TOM, and now it's back down. That's about it for that.

Went and bought some good protein stuff at the store... eggs, eggbeaters, tuna, salmon and some other things which I can't think of. Can't wait to try them all out!

Well, I'm outta here!

So... Have only exercised for 70 minutes today due to hurting myself. 30 minutes cardio, 20 minutes Yoga, 20 minutes strength training... think that's it. Little housework, but I didn't really count that. Didn't get in as much as had hoped. Wanted to vacuum the floors, but people keep getting in the way in my house, so I guess it's just not going to happen. Here's my diet for today:

Breakfast:
1 cup Multi-grain Cheerios
1/2 cup light soymilk

Lunch:
1 serving Starkist tuna packet (90 cals)
half a spinach pesto tortilla

Snack:
Fruit Salad

Dinner:
Maybe a Lean Cuisine?

Hi!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I have been busy.

Well, my weight has gone down to 143.5 lbs.! It seemed kinda slow for about a week, and then all of the sudden, about 3 lbs. came off. Was kinda interesting. I've been working more, about an hour and a half to two hours per day, with about an hour of it being cardio, the rest of it being strength training. I just discovered a kickboxing video on another site (it's for beginners like me) and I've done it three times! I'm loving it! It says it burns 105 cals in 10 minutes, but I don't truly trust it. It is difficult though!

I'm excited to hear how everyone else is doing!

Hi,

I haven't written in a while, but I have gotten down to 139.5 lbs.! I'm 5'4", so this means my BMI is 23.9! Haven't checked my body fat measurements in a while. Maybe I should do that again. My mom has been commenting on how good I look! It's so nice. I wish I felt that way about myself though. I have such low self esteem... Even when I was really skinny, I wanted to lose "just another 10 lbs."

Today was a strength training day, so I did 20 minutes of that, and 45 minutes of playing with the kids... but my dad messed up my kickboxing workout schedule, so that was out of the question. I guess I could use the day off. I've been feeling like utter crap lately. Between exercising 2 hrs per day and having bad scoliosis... I wake up in the morning feeling like an old lady! I'm only 32 years old!

Anyway, that's about it for me.. thank you for reading!

Hi!

I took my measurements this morning, and they're too high. I'm still 139.5 lbs. Here are my measurements:

Waist: 28 inches (lost 1 inch from 2 wks before)
Hips: 37 inches (also lost 1 inch)

I think my hips are WAY too big!:( There must be layers of fat there. That number just seems high. I could tell you the other numbers too, but I only started tracking them today.

Today's exercise was:

15 minutes kickboxing
35 minutes aerobics
20 minutes strength training

I'm still working on the exercise today, so don't worry, the numbers will go up!

I've lost 10 lbs. This Month!

Hi!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... it's been a little crazy. There's been a lot of babysitting going on (I have two nieces and a little nephew) and my older niece just turned 4 years old on the 19th so we had a nice birthday party for her! Pool, friends, everything!

I can see from my last post that I have lost 10 lbs. in the last month! I'm at 129.5 lbs. now! I've also lost 2 inches off of my waist and hips (and half an inch to an inch off of everything else as well). I've been consistently working out for 1 hour 30 minutes because that's the max my dietitian says I can work out for my calorie level. Today I've done 85 minutes so far. I did:

15 minutes kickboxing
40 minutes dancing
30 minutes aerobics

I've only done a little bit of strength training, so I haven't figured it in yet. Well, I'm off to do something constructive, I suppose!

re willlose's journey

Hi there..

I just wanted to stop by and let you know I just read through your diary then viewed your pics.. you look AMAZING!! You are a true inspiration!! I'm just starting my own journey, and I enjoyed seeing your results, it's very motivational!

:)

Thank you confuzzledwife! I am trying! How are you doing? Do you have a journal? I haven't looked yet. Oh! I need to update my pictures. That is, when I don't have a major sunburn:( I look like crap right now. I'll check what you're up to now too, and try to find some more recent pictures!

WillLose60

Hi!
Yes I did start a journal . I look forward to you posting more pics!
They're definitely keeping me motivated and knowing that I can do it too!

Thank you! I need to post a new picture some time soon. I'll look at your journal in a minute!

I worked out for 130 minutes today! It was mostly cardio with about 20 minutes strength training. I'll do more if I can kick everyone out of the house for a bit.

My weight today is 121, though it dipped to 119.5 lbs. the other day. Nice weight to see on the scale!

WillLose60

There! I added a new picture in my album. Sadly, I don't know how to do the thumbnail thing on here. Boo! So you'll just have to visit my album to see it, I suppose. It's me at 126 lbs. from a few weeks ago. Have fun!

Hi!
It's been a while since I've been on here. My ticker's not even correct. I'm at 115 lbs. now! I'll change it in a minute. I just uploaded a photo into my albums... it's me at 119 lbs. I don't have a current one. It was from about two months ago. I've been losing weight so slowly these past two months! It's really frustrating:( I'm looking to lose another 10 lbs. My calorie counting has gone downhill. I used to do it online, but I've let that slide. Gotta start it up again!

My exercise has increased! I do approximately 120-190 minutes per day. Most of it's still cardio. I have to increase my strength training! Introduce some weights.

I hope everyone had some nice holidays!

WillLose60

Let me get this straight - you are 5'4 and currently weigh 115 pounds and want to lose 10 more pounds? That would put you underweight according to BMI and I don't think that is healthy. I could be wrong but that just sounds messed up to me. It's your body so you know it best but have you talked to a doctor about it? Might be something to look into. I'm sure you are gorgeous the way you are - don't over do it.

Hi chubbygirl!

Thanks for your concern, but I have spoken to my dietitian and she thinks that 105 is fine for me! I also spoke with my doctor a little while back and she seemed to have no problem with it. I have a small build so it would be fine on me.

I worked out for 190 minutes this morning! So impressed. Going to do some more later if I can:) I kinda gained a pound this past week (over Christmas) so... need to lose it!

So what's everyone doing this New Year's Eve?
