Whatever it takes to lose this tire!

The pizza was yummy :) I realised something when I did the dishes for my fiance a couple days ago.. they took like an hour and I was SWEATING doing them... Hmm maybe I should do dishes more often haha.

I had a cup of coffee with 3 sugars in the morning
For lunch I had 3 leftover pieces of my pizza from yesterday (190 cals each)

I don't know what's going on but I'm falling asleep in the middle of the day.. I missed dinner, but didn't want to skip it, so I heated it up. I had 1 and a half pieces of toast (whole wheat) a chicken breast, peas, and a little bit of gravy. We made open faced chicken sandwiches.

I gotta stay up now, since I just ate.. gotta move around a bit.

Hi Stebular,

Just reading thru your thread and saw your pics. I can totally see the difference. All the best to you and your fiance!
Have you planned on your wedding date, that could be a great motivation to both of you!

:) thank you. We have no date planned yet, but it is definately in the works.

I had a coffee with 3 sugars this morning, pretty cliche right?
I had a can of garden minestrone light soup (200 cals) for lunch.

I am just going to say this here and now.. I haven't had a craving in MONTHS, MONTHS I tell you. And therefore I haven't eaten anything unhealthy. But today... Todoay is different.. I'm having a cheat day, right now. My fiance is already picking up my demonic food cravings.. what I'm eating is set in stone. I haven't eaten yet, but I will! Here is what I am having......

Chicken breast sandwich. Whole wheat bread, lettuce, onions, mayo, mustard.
That is what was coming for dinner anyways... Here's the real deal.

A big Mac, a bag of Doritos, and a Klondike ice cream cone... Yep.. I'm going to enjoy this.

EDIT: ok I ate it all.. the ice cream cone was only 350 calories, and the chips were about 500, and a big mac has 540. Not TOO much of a splurge, but I was craving these items like CRAZY and my fiance convinced me it was okay, since I lost 40 pounds without ever snacking.. I guess she's right. Oh how satisfied I am.
:)

now back on track!

Today was an incredibly easy day at work. I did a tiny bit of walking (maybe 1 hr) and a bit of hedging, but I only worked about 3 hours total today. Good thing I'm salary.

I had my usual cup of coffee with 3 sugars
I had another coffee with 3 sugars at lunch from Tim Horton's, along with a jalapeno asiago mozzarella bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese (460 cals) <- hence only 1 bagel for lunch haha.
For dinner I'm having 2 chicken breasts lightly dressed in teriyaki sauce, a cup of brown rice, and some peas.

Edit: I had a 120 calorie vitamin water before dinner.

I'm feeling relieved after having that little cheat yesterday, no cravings whatsoever :)

Cup of coffee with 3 sugars for breakfast.

I forgot my lunch.... Gotta wait until dinner now... Hurray for 24 hours with no food.... Just had to vent.

On my way home now, almost time to eat! I don't know what to do though.. I missed lunch and breaky.. soo..... Hmm...

I'm just gonna write some stuff on my mind.. this is a diary after all.
I still feel fat.. very fat. I don't know how to explain, I lost 55 pounds ( not all in this diary) and I don't see a difference.. I did a body fat thing with calipers I bought and I am 25% body fat.. if this makes sense, I feel like 55 pounds ago, I was still 25% body fat. I feel like I'm just shrinking instead of losing fat.. its so discouraging not knowing how to feel. I have nobody guiding me, I'm doing this all on my own..I have no idea what to eat... I am naturally a big guy and pretty strong, I have big muscles under this fat.. I just have this sinking feeling that I will get to my goal and only look like a smaller version of myself. I eat barely anything, and I know I don't really write about my excersize, but its there .. I have a pedometer I use daily, and I walk about 12 miles a day average.. now that's JUST cardio.. all the tools I use = weight training.. my old diet was close to 5000 calories a day.. chips, pop, candy, burritos, fast food.. every day.

I just feel like I'm doing it all wrong.. maybe its just scary and new losing weight.. because I defeinately am losing weight..it just feels very wrong.

okay when I got home my fiance made me a can of light garden vegetable soup (180 cals) and a half cup of brown rice
I also had a glass of fruit punch, and a handful of chips.

I have dinner ready, I'm just not feeling hungry, since I had such a late lunch, but I will force myself to eat some.
Whole wheat spiral noodles (I have NO idea the name lol) and some tomato sauce/ lean beef (just a spaghetti with special noodles)

Which calliper method did you use ? Durnin and Womersley ? or Jackson and Pollock ? neither can be don on yourself accurately and it take practice to get good calliper readings even when you have been trained to use them.

But 25% is in the moderately overweight category rather than the overweight category which is a good thing :) 20.9 is the top end of acceptable.

I got my fiance to do it for me. We measured tons of times and took what seemed to be the most accurate. I do accept that we didn't really know what we were doing though. I got measured on my bicep, tricep, just above my hip, and just below my shoulder blade. Not sure the name of the method. Just one we found off of google.

ok it was the Durnin and Womersley you used. the site just below the shoulderblade is the subscapula the the hip measurement is (which is taken slightly to the front) is the suprailiac.
one of the key things to do when you are measuring at each site after pinching give the pinch of skin and fat a bit of a shake and you should feel the fat slide over muscle to ensure your not including muscle in your measurement. For the tricep and bicep measurements they should be done at the exact midpoint which can be measured with a tape measure and keep a note of the distance for accuracy and consistency for each time you measure.

Thanks for the tips. We probably need a bit more practice haha.

Hedged a lot at work today, not a very hard day, barely sweat, but atleast I was active.

I should mention I actually didn't eat my pasta last night.. oh well.

I had 1 pancake with no syrup, and my usual coffee with 3 sugars for breakfast.
For lunch I had a bowl of 'vegetarian vegetable' soup. (Only because they were out of chicken and wild rice) and a cranberry sauce/ turkey sandwich, on white. (Premade)
I also had a 'lethal buzz' from a coffee shop. It's a hot chocolate with 2 shots of espresso. I had a medium.
Oh, and a 500 cal aloe Vera drink. 0 cals from fat.

Dinner is still to come.

EDIT: I took my fiance out to dinner and a movie tonight (Lily is at my parent's WOOHOO!)

I had a turkey club sandwich on multigrain bread (real turkey breast, few pieces of bacon and whatever else comes on a club.. 3 pieces of bread? haha)
it came with a caesar salad. I had water with my dinner.

I had a vitamin water at the movie theatre. No popcorn cravings, booyah!

:) the start of a great weekend. Hope everybody else has one too.

Hey everybody, I hope everyone had a great weekend!

It rained all day today :( got soaking wet and I was up and down ladders all day. ugh. I did a lot of hedging and quite a bit of walking around townhouses wearing a backpack blower (about 2 hours worth of walking). I added a "current" photo to my first post. I guess this will keep me motivated to try and keep taking better "current" pic's hehe.

I had a coffee with 3 sugars in the morning
For lunch I ate a chicken quesadilla - it was 1 wrap folded in half, filled with chicken, chedder, lettuce, light sour cream, salsa. Then grilled on a pan.
I also had a pear
For dinner I'm having a chicken breast cooked in a little bit of BBQ sauce. Roasted potatoes and peppers.

I fell asleep again and missed dinner..
I had some orange juice when j woke up.

Thanks a lot! I feel very proud, although I'm still in the middle of my progress. I wish I could just skip to the end, just so I can see my results immediately. Patience is a virtue.

Coffee with 3 sugars in the morning.
Earl grey with 3 sugars at lunch, as well as left
over stew from last night. Mmmmm.

Will update with dinner.

Edit: chicken breast and a cup of Brown rice for dinner.

I wish i could just skip to the end too lol but as you say patience is a virtue and it will feel so much better knowing how hard you worked to get there!

How are things going for you?. Keep the updates coming :p

That is so true. In the end I won't regret any part of this journey. It's a life experience just like anything else.

I'm doing great, just pretty busy and I eat the same stuff every day almost so its not too exciting just filling in my meals. I have been eating well though. :) currently sitting on 196. Waiting for my next picture day (pictures make my weight loss more noticeable than the scale imo). It will be on the 15th (my bday! Lol). I'll start posting my meals again. Couldn't hurt.

I also eat the same stuff everyday - so my meals are also kinda boring but hey the weight is coming off and thats the consilation price. You are doing really great with the weight loss. Well done and keep the focus.

Thanks, Mands. It just feels like it would be a dull read; everything being the same, lol

Anywho. I was going to start posting my meals again today, I still am, but I am sick.. really bad cough, with pains in my cheat. Yellow stuff coming up. Sweating profusely, but shivering and being freezing cold.. those are the symptoms. I still went to work on Friday in the cold. I think it made it worse... Both my fiance and my daughter have caught what I have now. :(

I had a cup of coffee with 3 sugars
For lunch I bought another coffee and had half.
Also half of a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, lots of vegetables
Half of a small bowl of chicken noodle soup.
I slept for the passed 18 hours and haven't eaten. I have no appetite.

Hope everybody's weekend turns out to be sickness free.
