I usually do about 140 jumps a minute for 160 jumps, then I'll sprint for 40 jumps. If you count every other jump it's a cycle of 100. I try to do 40-50 cycles. When doing that many jumps, your form tends to come naturally.

Sweating a hangover away is one of the more painful ways to get rid of it, but also one of the fastest. I've heard that hair of the dog works really well, but I could never get myself to do that. I'd rather suffer. :ack2:

Hair of the dog???? You mean like actual dog hair? how does that work?

Hair of the dog is short for hair of the dog that bit you. Meaning the alcohol. Taking a drink in the morning to ease into the day and out of the hangover. It's supposed to work, but it seems like a recipe for disaster. Drunk by 10 AM is not usually a good thing.:ack2:

Tonight I decided that I would go for a walk after my salad, just to kinda get my dinner digested a little faster before bed. I didn't really munch out when I got home either. I had half a tablespoon or less of brown rice and one piece of diced mango to get any sugar craving I may have had after dinner fixed.

So I walked for half an hour.. I came home and checked my pulse and it was higher than normal so I got a little workout in there.

Ah what a glorious day today! I hope!! We've had rain every day since Friday. The forcast is actually calling for rain for the next 3 or 4 days as well. Ughhh!! Well I hope it will all be said and done by Canada Day weekend.

So I think that my body has reached equillibrium between fat and muscle. I will not say why yet :D

I forgot why I don't bring banana's to work until today. I left my house and it was in pretty good shape. I got to the gym and the top had snapped off and it was browning very quickly. I was going to eat it for my afternoon snack, but I don't think it would have lasted so I had it for Bfast haha.

Went to the Y this morning. I am dead fricking tired. My friend phoned me at 3:10 am and I ddin't answer it, but I couldn't get back to sleep for about half an hour. I had such a hard time waking up this morning, but I did.. AND I went to the gym. I stepped up my game at the gym a bit today as well. For the last week, I've been running at 5.2 mph for 25 minutes. Today I pushed it up to 5.4 mph for the 25 minutes. Also, when I was doing my crunches I decided that I would bring my hands up to my neck instead of proping them beside my bum. I was very imbalanced, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. The picture of the crunch is below, but I use a mat NOT a ball thingy... That's wayy out of my league haha.

So I woke up this morning and had my usual look in the mirror. Didn't notice anything TOO different. Thighs are slimming. But I went to stretch and when I did, I was like what the hell is that cellulite looking crap right under my boobs. OH SHIT!!! THEY ARE RIBS!!! Yessiry I could see some ribs. Stretching of course but hey, it's better than not seeing them at all.

Meals today:

Breakfast: Fibre One cereal w/ sliced almonds, raisins, skim milk, and a banana (probably a coffee in a bit) - 437 cal
Snack: Trail mix - 173 cal
Lunch: Vegetable chili w/ slice of multigrain bread - 305 cal
Snack: Apple and vanilla yogurt - 131 cal
Dinner: Salad - Approx 250 cal

Total: Approx 1500 cal

It's a little high (not really) but thats ok. I plan to go for another walk after dinner as well.
 
I like doing crunches with my hands behind my neck, but you have to be really concerned not to pull on your neck. The ball thingy looks like you are supporting your upper body weight with your hands, so it's your legs that are working your abs. Good exercise for the lower abs.

Yea thats what I usually do. I'm not sure which one targets the lower abs the most (hands behind neck or on floor) but I'm hoping the neck one cus I need to blast this lower ab fat away!!

I am sooooooo frickin tired today. I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep. But guess what. I CANT because I have a FUCKING EXAM tonight at 6 and I am one of those procrastinators that love to cram everything into their tiny brains at the last dying seconds. Oh yea... the exam is worth 40%!!!!! I have never written an exam worth that much. Pressure is on. Stress is on. I studied a bit last night and went to bed at around 10:30. I had such a hard time waking up today and I think its just because of the stress. I did do my workout this morning, though I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO!! I forced it. I even pushed myself. I did my HIIT training and I ran faster and harder than ever. The calories read 280! My crunches were more intense and I made sure to focus on my form and my contractions. My shirt was more soaked than I've ever seen before. And how do I feel now!?!? Exhausted, yet extremely satisfied. I'm glad that I pushed myself to get it done, and "punished" myself for not wanting to workout by working HARDER!!! I'll be glad I did tomorrow :)

Tomorrow is my official weigh in day, and my ticker will be changed. I am sooooo excited. I asked my mom yesterday if she thinks I can pull of a bikini next weekend and she said yes. She also said she noticed my legs are slimming. During my workout this morning, I focused a lot on the front of my abs, as that seems to be the place that needs the most work to be in a bikini next weekend.

I didn't notice much change this morning in the mirror. Nothing really significant...actually nothing at all. I had a late dinner last night because I had to drive to my school (40 minutes away when your speeding the whole way) to photocopy the chapters from the text that I need for the exam. Dinner was at 8-ish. Salad. My mom made a cheese pizza (I'm pretty sure she bought cheese cus I'm a veggie) and I at what was probably 1 30th of the pizza. I cut a tiny tiny piece. Probably about 70 calories....just to get a taste. Didn't get to walk last night due to studying. Can't wait till this stupid class is done (it's abnormal psychology by the way, thankfully a very interesting course).

Can't really be too long on here and I have to spend the entire day STUDYING AT WORK....I know I'm horrible, but it has to be done. It's my first priority.

Anyways, here's the meal plan.

Breakfast: Fibre One cereal w/ sliced almonds, raisins, skim milk, and vanilla yogurt and definately a coffee - 437 cal
Snack: Trail mix - 173 cal
Lunch: Chili w/ multigrain bread - 305 cal
Snack: Baby carrots w/ low cal ranch dip - 142 cal

Ahh another Friday has arrived!! :hurray:
I am in a good mood today. I finished my abnormal psych course yesterday. The exam went much better than I thought it would. The 7 hours of studying paid off :) I went to bed as soon as I got home yesterday (9:30 ish) and today I feel pretty energized. I had another great workout. I ran 5.5 mph on the treadmill and did all my other regular stuff. I added 5 crunches to each set of 25 for a total of 30. My legs are VERY sore now. My car broke last night though which sucks. Still driveable, but I'll have to get it fixed tomorrow. The exhaust pipe has come loose near the front of the car. So I was driving down the highway with my windows down because the inside smelt like exhaust fumes and I didn't want to die of carbon monoxide poisoning, and my car sounding like an F15 fighter jet. ugh!!

On a positive note, today was weigh in day. I am more than happy to report that the scale said 140.2 this morning:hurray: I have lost about 3 lbs this week. Not sure if that's high or something. I think I'm just having a good week. And it's weird cus I was having such a hard time losing the weight and now its more than happy to come off. Like I said earlier in the week... I think my body has reached the equallibrium between muscle gain and fat losss, so now I should be losing steadily.

Oh yea... my stomach is getting flatter and flatter!!!!!!!! I looked in the mirror today and thought that I could confidently wear a bikini THIS WEEKEND if I wanted. I look good standing, but I always get concerned about sitting and bending and how much my stomach will roll. So today I scrunched my tummy up and it didn't look too bad. I'm thrilled!! I even wore a tight workout shirt to the gym today instead of my usual band T.

I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight but I think I have an idea so I'm going to write what I think I'll be eating.

Meals:

Breakfast: Fibre One cereal w/ sliced almonds, raisins and skim milk and vanilla yogurt - 330 cal
Snack: Trail mix - 213 cal
Lunch: Salmon sandwich on multigrain bread - 410 cal
Snack: 3 strawberries and an apple - 92 cal
Dinner: Fillet of fish (probably catfish) and some zucchini (probably 2) - 222 cal

Total: 1400 approx

Next week I am going to buy myself a dress and two bikinis. I can't wear the same bikini all weekend haha. I have to face yet another weekend of trying not to drink. I think I can manage though. It will all be worth it in the end and next weekend I'm going to be drinking plenty so I will just wait it out.
 
Great weigh in. If you keep it up through the weekend for Monday's Brat Challenge weigh you'll be kicking ass. Way to go.

Never be shy of the bikini. Go for it.

Well I'm not sure if today is going good or not? Lets just start with last night. I did well. I went to my bfs and they ordered pizza and a veggie one just for me!! When the food arrived I turned it down and I felt terrible and I wanted to eat it but I just saved a couple slices for the next day. I didn't drink, but I replaced the drinking, yet again, with another high.....Not sure what to think of that one.

So today I haven't done any workout (aka skipping). I walked around the mall a bit but thats it. I bought myself a nice new bikini today though and it actually looks good :D I can't wait to wear it next weekend!!

Well for bfast I had the two slices of pizza and ditched the crusts. The dough was fairly thin until the crust which was good. Then for lunch I had a protein shake from freshly squeezed. It was banana and strawberry with vanilla whey protein and low fat yogurt ... or non fat. cant remember. My snack was 1 apple, half a banana, half a cup of mango, and 4 strawberries. Then dinner.... I made a suggestion that I regret. I said "lets go out" and so we did. We went to Kelseys. My mom ended up pursuading me to share a spinach dip for start. I told the waitress I wanted the pita chips BAKED!! At the very least I didn't want to eat them fried. I ordered a roasted vegetable wrap w/ ceasar salad on the side. Because I ate the dip before hand, I saved half of my wrap and brought it home. There were left over chips on the table and I was dipping them in gravy and I had a couple of my sisters fries and dipped them in gravy as well. I'm not very happy with the spinach dip choice and I knew I wouldn't be. Last weekend I had that veggie burger on sunday though and I still lost 3 lbs this week. I'm going to try to eat healthy throughout the day tomorrow so I can have a good weigh in on Monday for my June challenge. I'll also go for another walk. I have another night of attempting to not drink. I am going camping appearantly with my friends. I probably won't stay the whole night since it's only a 20 minute drive.
 
Wow, I am not good with pizza. How you control yourself is beyond me. A veggie pie here is just loaded with all kinds of roasted vegetables. It's so good. The vegetables are roasted coated in olive oil, so not the healthiest, but oh so tasty. I'm glad there isn't a pizza place for five miles from here, right now. :drool5:

I think camping and hiking can be so much fun. I'd say stay the night and don't worry about driving home just to sleep in a bed. Live a little and sleep out. Have some fun. Who knows, you might get some extra exercise out of it. Just be careful if they pull out smores. :D
 
Haha... yea I wouldn't mind going for a nice hike through the woods... maybe I'll do that today. hmmmm

And my will power can only go so strong for so long and then I cave. Like last night.

Last night didn't go very well. I went to this fest of drinking and camping... I caved into alcohol. I don't know how much I had, but I know I had a beer and about 4 shots of southern comfort and about 3 or 4 shots of whiskey. And then of course when I came home I had some pizza in the fridge. Then this morning I woke up with a hangover and ate the other half of my wrap and a waffle. Ohhhh the joys of drinking. Totally kills any will power you have.

I feel very guilty today and I want to do something to make me feel less horrible about what I've done thus far. I might go to the gym and just run or use the bike. That's probably what I'll do. Then I'll be determined to eat healthy tonight and I can have the remaining catfish and zucchini in the fridge.

Yea so about the workout last night........ didn't happen. Just before bed I did some stomach exercises. About 100. Also, I walked around IKEA for about 3 hours. I finished off my food for the day with an 'frozen yogurt' cone, some chips, some popcorn (about a handful of each), catfish w/ zucchini, and a smalllllll portion of vegetable spaghetti. Like really small.

Jumped on the scale last night and it said 143.8. I was shitting myself I thought I would be heavy this morning, but the scale told me I was 141.2 this morning. A 1 lb gain considering I ate pretty bad AND drank. I think that tomorrow morning the scale will be back down to the 140. something area.

Went to the gym this morning despite my exhaustion. I did my HIIT training today too and burned 287 cals and ran 2.5 miles. Pushed it just a bit harder than I ever have.

I have this stupid proposal to do today and it's due tomorrow. I was going to work on it at work but guess who forgot their text book at home?! ME. So now I have to do it tonight in my free time. BLAH!!!

Meals today are:

Breakfast: Fibre One cereal w/ sliced almonds, raisins skim milk and blueberry yogurt - 330 cal
Snack: Trail mix - 200 cal
Lunch: Spaghetti w/ vegetable tomato sauce - Approx 450?
Snack: 1 apple, 1 kiwi, and 4 strawberries - 149 cal
Dinner: Salad - 250 cal

Total: Approx 1500 cal

Gonna try to go for a walk tonight if I have time.

Alright... gotta go do some work.

Amanda! Whats up? I just wanted to drop in and say that we all make bad choices sometimes. Its getting right back into the correct routine after a bad weekend that sets us in the right direction. Stick to it and work hard this week!

Hey Shaun thanks a lot. I'm probably being too hard on myself. Though I did eat bad, I did make an effort to eat good (Example my zucchini and catfish dinner last night). I just wanted to not give into anything and I wanted to do really well like I did last weekend.

Funny thing. When I went camping, it was the first time I had hung out with my friends for a few weeks because I always want to drink when I'm with them... I was there for 5 minutes and I had found myself chugging southern comfort. *sigh*
