Hi everyone,

Wanted to introduce myself - I'm a 38 year old mother to 4 who has successfully maintained a weight loss of 90 pounds for over six years now. I'm currently trying to shed a bit more to get myself snugly within the healthy bodyfat range rather than dancing around the outskirts. I'm doing pretty well at it - but how well I won't know until I get another body comp assessment done to see how much my bodyfat % has changed. I, do, however know that I've lost over 10 lbs and 10 inches in 28 days doing Insanity. :hurray: I'd love to make some buddies here and provide as much (if not more!) support and encouragement as I receive. I'm on FB so feel free to friend me if you like!

Congratulations !!! :)

keep going...

All I did was change my routine a bit (went from a computer generated workout to Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred), and boom! No doubt you can push through as well! Good luck, and I hope you reach your 3lb goal this following week instead! At this point I'm afraid to set a goal since I'm still a bit stuck where I am, but heck, if i could lose another 1 or 2lbs this week I would be very happy! 1½ is still wonderful. :)

Good luck guys!

Welcome Petrina.. Glad you are here.. and we all are here for the same reason. Join in and hope you succeed in your journey of weight loss.. tomorrow is weigh in day !!! :)

Monday Morning is here again..

And I must say Monday Morning blues for me..

I didn't lose anything, rather I gained a pound... :banghead:

I am not happy... :)

How did rest of you do ???

Hi everyone! Im new here, and needs lots of support. I have been trying to lose 50-60 lbs forever!! I started a diet that i found on http://supereasydiets.com and so far have lost 10 lbs in the last week. Im super psyched, but nervous because this is usually the time that I fall off the wagon, go back to binge eating and go back to square one. Im hoping that I can come here daily, see your successes and then stay motivated to keep at it. Im the "fat girl" in my family so Im hoping that I can lose another 20+ lbs before Thanksgiving when I have to go to my enormous family's dinner. All of my female cousins wear the cute skinny jeans with cute knee boots.I wear stretchy clothes... hahaha and my thighs cant fit in those boots! LOL. but hopefully that will all change. I have 4 weeks to do the best I can. My fingers are crossed!!

Candi, 20 lbs in 4 weeks is a little xtreme and tough to achieve but let me not discourage you. Try your best and it might actually happen. But don;t starve and don't do anything crash. Aim at a regular reduction.. well I am not the one to say that but weight loss is like when you start it will seem to work faster. The first month I started I lost 14 pounds. The following month I lost only 6 and the month after that I lost only 2. and I am still stuck there... keep trying.. and hope you achieve what you want to.. good luck and regards... Dee

hello deestweet

I m new here at forum.... I lost 10 pounds now my weight is 116 pounds and it has been year or so to maintain tht weight... I want lose 6 to 7 pounds more...

the main fact to lose weight is your way of thinking... Never ever think that u lose weight in just few days etc.... think about duration of gaining weight... we gains weight from many years... how it is possible that the weight we are gaining from many years or even child hood ll lose in just days.... weight never lose in days... it takes time.... we have to change our eating habits and lifestyle for the rest of life.. the main things i do when i lose weight and never gain it again...

1) never take tension or depress( depression or mentally tension slow down the metabolism which cause increase of weight)

2) sleep early and get up early in the morning and take breakfast till 8.. take full breakfast

3)eat less and healthy and eat every after 2 hours( if u ll eat small it ll digest soon... u only have to eat for only next 2 hours's energy)

4) keep talking every day about ur weight lose with ur friends and family( it keeps u motivate)

5)take dinner before 8 in the evening

6) walk 40 to 60 mints after dinner

7) timings are very much important... if u ll take every meal breakfast, lunch and dinner at time it ll automatically make ur metabolism fast...if ur metabolism become fast... ur diet ll digest full and soon... in this way u never store any thing in ur body

8) think everyday tht if i continue this routine i ll be smart like others very soon even it takes year and that how many years u spend just thinking to losing weight so if i follow this routine i ll lose

9) see dreams with open eyes about the time when u ll lose weight and everybody is appreciating and u ll become inspiration for others.....

learn about some foods which help to burn fat

Monday Morning is here again...

Ok so I lost 1 pound over the last week. And my guess is that it is because I was sick.

How did you all do ?

AI maintained this week. Which I thought was pretty good since I ate out 3 times this week.

Hi im new to all of this I don't usually talk about my weight and the issues I have. I thought doing something like this would be helpful I definitely need a buddy to help me through my weight loss struggles.

MOnday morning is here again.. this week gained back 2 pounds..I treated myself to a cheat week and ate everything I was carving for.

Hi all!! This is a great idea...weigh in on Monday mornings and get some moral support through the group...

Anyway, back in July I was at the peak of my weight...277lbs(125.6kg) and at 5'11 (180cm for the metrically inclined) that's 100lbs (45.4kg) over the suggested weight for a healthy BMI...so needless to say, there is room for improvement...

In September, I started to get really thirsty and began drinking a lot of water, 3-4 liters (1 gallon ish) per day...so I went to the doctor to find out if something was wrong...there was...my fasting blood glucose was 14.6, which is between double and tripple where it should be...long story short, at the end of October I found out that I have Type II Diabetes, which was a bit of a relief because I had noticed a loss in weight without noticing a change in diet or exercise (turns out the weight loss was due to the water which curbed my snacking habbit)...kinda sucks, but so far it is one pill three times a day...the big change is in my personal diet. I am keeping up with the water intake, though not quite as much, and I have cut off snacking on junk after work. Instead I have a container of lettuce, snap peas & shredded carrot that I can quickly grab a hand full and put into a bowl for a snack...plus drink a glass of water...it is helping, since I am now weighing in at 255lbs as of last night. Even better is my blood glucose before bed last night was 6.2, in the normal range... :hurray: ...my diet issue is eating after work.

I am the cook in the family, so when I get home I need to start preparing dinner. As it cooks, it smells so good that I tend to want to eat something, so I have that container in the fridge and I bought myself a water cooler...I also don't allow myself to eat after 8pm. Now I have to do some recipe research so that I can come up with some nice tasty choices instead of bland (provided the wifey and daughters will eat it, so nothing too out there ;) )

The other issue is that my job has me travelling quite a bit, which means eating out quite a bit. You really have to watch what you order, since even a salad at a restaurant is not really low calorie...with all the cheese and dressing, meat added with garlic bread...just have a steak and veggies, it's probably lower cal...

Anyway, I've rambled enough...I'll keep updating every Monday...

Later.

Heya all...

I started my diet program and exersice on Saturday, its Tuesday and I have lost my first KG of excess fat :) all I want is a flat stomach and a healthy body.

reason to start is dabetes at age 30 we need to support each other

May I join? I need to be accountable for my weight loss, lol. I was at my goal weight of 103 lbs. But I gained about 5 pounds in the last few weeks; trying to get back down again. In addition, I still have that stubborn belly fat that just won't go away :( But yes, I wouldn't mind being weight loss buddies with anyone!
