Weight Loss Buddies Needed - Join to motivate and share your Progress, Tips and make friends

Hi Portlyprof and Danyella.

I love coming on here and seeing how everyone is doing. I weighed on a friends scale today. I refuse to weigh at home, don't want to get discouraged and dont want to weigh everyday. I think I lost another 2 lbs. Its a different scale that what I usually weigh on so keeping my fingers crossed. I will probably weigh in on Wed.

That is good idea or a step to help each other just by sharing their own knowledge.

i know that i am new here but i found a good idea to loss fat thats why i m sharing with u guys. May be helpful !!!!!!

I was looking 4 fat loss facts and help then finally i got that as in the form of Mike Geary Review Site.

Honestly i m telling you that is a complete review site for loss fat or tips.

Hope the scales were in sych, and so the info was accurate,a nd so you really DID lose two pounds.


I have been less successful than you these last two days, probably even Gaining a pound or two.


I am not careful enough about what I eat, when I eat it, and how much of it goes down.


Any tips on how to focus and control oneself better?

Hi..sorry missed to welcome you here. Try to write down what you eat and then see where you can improve the next day. I have kept a calorie limit for myself per day. So each time I eat it makes me think about how much of the day is left and how much I can afford to eat. That has also helped me make choices when choosing food. For example I love any junk food. Each time I feel like it I order a salad and then add a small fry to it. Does help me. :) Semi-cheating :)


Try it and welcome again. Weigh in day is monday. Hope you don't put on anything !!!

Melnee.. good progress. Slow and steady wins the race. The goal is not to lose it fast. Its to lose it slow and keep it off. Congrats. And again i don't weigh everyday because that does not show much difference. I weigh once a week and that way I can see progress and personally i feel good that way. I know everyone is different. Just a tip :)

Welcome Danyella... the same thing I tell everyone here. Slow weigth loss. 3-4 pounds a week and we weigh in every monday. See you monday.

well I weighed today. I gained .5. I know thats not much but I was so disappointed in myself. I know ate too much this last week. so back to writing down what I ate and staying on my food list!

Well in two days if you gained 0.5 that might be water weight. And anyways you just weighed on Monday. You have 4 more days to go until next weigh in. I suggest you weigh in just once a week and other days keep track of what you eat. And don't let this 0.5 pounds get to you. Cheer up :)

Hi, I would love to be a part of this group! The best way to make sure you stick to what you're supposed to be doing is to have someone you are accountable to, and this is a great place for that! About me, I've been slightly overweight my whole life, and while I've tried many times to change that, I've never been very successful. Now I am 20, at 5'10" and 162 or so pounds. I really want to get down to 150, I feel like that is where I should be for my frame. If there is anyone with similar goals, I would love to talk :)
 
Leeann.. thats portion of accountability isvery true. Well compared to many of us your goal is very small. But that doesn't make it any less important. In this group here we weigh in every monday and record our weight and how we did. Our goal is to lose 3-4 pounds a week. The reason we went for a smaller goal is that we not only want to lose this weight but also want to keep it off. We may or may not b able to reach our weekly goals everytime but we all do try.

welcome Jenosaurus.. we have a lot of room always. Good luck on your journey. Do you have a plan you are working on losing weight? Like time frame etc ? Please share and I am sure everyone here will be glad to help you with their tips.

Aronsmith, here we just follow the principle of losing slow and keeping it off. We weigh in every monday and try to reach what we planned. Our goals are long term ones and actually we have not spoken of any weight management programs here.



I am leaving the forum open for anyone else who wants to share any info on this.

Monday Morning Wishes to all. I just weighed myself this morning and I am down 1.5 pounds. 188.5 now. I have to reach 170.



I have reached a point where it is getting harder to lose weight. But I am going to continue....



How about you guys ? did you all make progress ??
 
Hello Hello. Checking in. I weighed and gained .3. :icon_bs: but I haven 't had a BM in a week. UGH. So I drank some herbal cleansing tea. I have been really good about what I'm eating. I plan on weighing again on Thursday. the middle of the week is when i seem to lose the weight.


Sounds like we are all doing pretty good. Keep up the good work!!

oh I wanted to say too that I write down EVERYTHING I eat and drink.

It really helps to keep me accountable. I'm really getting tired of broccili and califlower. I have it everyday.

hello welcome to WLF i have using this site from last 15 days and its quite wonderful and easy to get info related to your weight loss problem everyone is very friendly here so lose your weight and stay fit and fine
 
Hey Crymlyn, come on. Don't be discouraged. Sometimes we just can't lose even though we are good and sometimes out body just sheds those pounds even when we are doing nothing.


So cheer up and we still have time for the month to end. I just wanted to share this small tit-bit which I have learned from my own experience. Don't starve yourself. Eat atleast 1300 to 1500 calories and if you need to be within 1200 calories limit exercise and burn those rather than not eating. That just doesn't do the trick. Try it guys and let me know.
