It really helps to keep me accountable. I'm really getting tired of broccili and califlower. I have it everyday.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

My "icon" is a picture of my son, Andrew, and his fiance, Nishi, whom I also love. They will be married next August 11th, even the place is set: 450 west 31st Street, NY, NY.

I want to be in the 180s, maybe even the low 180s, next August.

Help me get there in decent shape, guys!!

AHello! I didnt weigh until today. I did better than I thought. 8've lost 1.25 lbs this week and 8.5 inches since I started watching what I have been eating. So proud of myself! Also had a friend tell me she could tell I'm losing! Good day!
Melnee :)

Good Job Melnee. Keep it up and keep going. But I would strongly suggest that you do not starve yourself. That might get the weight off faster but it will not keep it off. The trick is to control the calories intake but to keep it constant because otherwise your body will go into starvaton mode and the day you eat more carbs, the body will just store it because the body start to believe that you are not going to give it any more carbs for a long time. Well, this is what I have read and this is my way of putting it in simple words. I am sure the new members, 'NapalmFitness' should be able to put it more professionally.

Good job and keep going.

Welcome NapalmFitness and it nice to have you here. So let me post the first question to you both.

All of us here are trying to shed weight and keep it off. Can you give us all some pointers on the right and healthy way to do it?

Thank You,

Dee

Monday Morning Wishes to everyone,

Another week has gone by, I am down 1.5 pounds and that is half of what I planned to lose. I aimed at 3 pounds this week. I have reached a sort of plateau now and its getting harder to lose weight. I am going to start walking for 30 mins this week instead of 15 mins. I hope that will kick start weight loss again..

How did everyone else do ?

Hi i weighed in this morning. I lost 1 lb.

I am eating about every two hours. I'm trying to eat 2 fruits, 4 veggies, 2 starches, and 2 proteins. so I am getting enough to eat.

Great Job Dee!

Thats good Melnee... And I have not been doing good. Not able to meet my own goal of 3 pounds a week. Started to walk double the time I usually do.

And I am so glad that you are eating and not starving :)

ADee you ARE doing good. The way I'm trying to look at it is...if I loose any weight during the week it is better than staying the same or gaining!
