Hi Time4Change! I am also looking for a weight loss buddy! I am looking into losing about 50-75 pounds. I'm 5'6 and 230 lbs.

Very inspirational, but I don't think you need a supplement to have success...you just need to have a diet plan & do your best to follow it...plan out your meals & snacks the day before and do your best to stick to it...then add exercise to firm up, cause you'll need it when the weight starts coming off...

Good Luck!

Hi, I am doing well on my weight loss but can always use more support.

I am trying to lose 200 lbs and have taken off 78 in three months. Now I am a little lighter, I have joined a health club and go to a boot camp

three days a week. I also have a walking group and we walk an hour twice a week.

Most of it is attitude and good nutrition and of course breaking old habits.

Possitive energy gets positive energy back, we now have a great time walking, and I have a great time wearing myself out at the boot camps.

Diet is still the key however, no amount of excercise will get you there if you eat the old way. Fruits and vegies and nuts are our friends and for me grains and pastas and alcohol are the enemies.

Hey,

I thought I would join in. I am an 18 year old university student. I started at 235lbs, and I am down to 208lbs.

Between the months of January 2012 and April 2012, I lost 30lbs and came down to 205. I think this was mainly through stress and some illness, and therefore I lost my appetite for the first time ever in my life.

I am now trying to get back down and keep going, after putting 10lbs, and reaching 215lbs. Since last week when I got back, I have come down to 208lbs. I know someone will probably come along and say "Hey, water weight". lol

I am using Maximuscle Promax Diet at the moment, so having a shake for breakfast and the second one around lunch time, then a proper dinner. I always have one of the two shakes after my workout.

Because my diet isn't very high calorie, I am not burning too much, about 150-200 calories a day, then dumbells on top of that, and squats, etc.

Every few days I will have a "normal" meal of curry and chapati, or carbs, etc, but most of the time, I am avoiding carbs.

I know my diet may sound unhealthy but I am wanting to get down to 190-195lbs before I start SLOWLY introducing more carbs, and increase my exercise.

One of the reasons for this drastic diet is that in about 2 weeks, the month of Ramadan starts during which I will not be able to eat, or drink at all for ~20 hours a day. I know this really screws up/slows your metabolism, and I want to somehow continue some exercise during that time somehow.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. To summarise.

Started----------> 235lbs

Current---------->208lbs

Weekly loss aim-----------> 4lbs (being somewhat "unrealistically realistic" haha)

Current final aim----------->170lbs

Stats----------> 6 foot 2", 18 years old, Male

I know my weight loss will slow as I become lighter, and I will probably lose weight slower as I have started incorporating weights into my daily workout.

Charlie, congrats on taking the steps needed to improve your health and fitness! I know you were proud to get off 78 lbs in your first 90 days! I too set health and fitness goals every 90 days. I find it easier to reach goals and maintain success. Our minds never want to initially commit to something for a year, but 90 day goals sound alot easier to manage. My 90 day goal was to decrease my body fat to 8% by the end of September. If I reach my goal, I'll implement a new personal goal on October 1st.

Good nutrition, regular exercise, and accountability will get you to your goals!

What a great Group! I've just joined and would love some company on my weight-loss journey. I've found that I'm making this TOO difficult, weight-loss included. So in addition to healthy eating, I've promised myself to walk 15 mins a day with the dog. I've always taken the "Fast and Furious" approach to weight-loss, but realize that weight-loss is more of "Slow and steady wins the race". Looking forward to celebrating everyones victories (including mine =>)

ACongrats on trying to do it the right way, that is awesome! I recently started working out again! I weigh 205lbs and I am 5'8. I started hitting the gym every other day, mostly participating in classes. I "enjoy" spin class the most, I try to get to that class at least twice a week. As far as diet goes I downloaded after app on my iPhone called MyFitnessPal and it has really helped me! I try to take in under 1340 calories per day. My goal is around 50lbs, or whenever I feel more comfortable! Any suggestions you guys have would be great! I don't know what a realistic time frame is to get this done so any insight would be very much appreciated! Thanks and lets keep this up, we can do it!!!!!
