LOL I was like DAMNNNNN she's good.... I've been slacking this week too.. I've only had 2 hours so far and need lots more but I'll probably finish up challenge requirements tonight and do lots more Sat and Sun and trying to get at least a pound off this week.. crossing my fingers
 
LOL I love it.. but my nap turned out to be sleeping for like 6 hours! Now I'm up and awake at 1230.. I'm gonna try to go back to sleep but I don't think its gonna work so I'll probably try to work out a bit so I get my lazy butt up.. I need to try to get to bed earlier but I end up dragging in the middle of the day and if I take naps I'll end up being up all night.. ugh.. its just hard to fit everything I need to do into one day.. but I'll just have to get that in check.. anyways I'm out..

I think I'm setting my goal between 1900 and 1800.. But when I was eating what I had been eating and it was totally between 1200 and 1500 and I know thats way too low.. I don't feel hungry but I know my body will get used to eating more and give me more room to live a little...lol And I like the idea of going over and under some days.. Do you all know anything about the calorie deficit with exercise?? I don't really even know what it is but have seen people talk about it.. and want to go it right. Where is a good place to figure out calories in food that don't have it on them like meats, fruits, and veggies?? or what about dining out? Thanks guys any advice would really help me out I'm trying to figure this whole thing out..

I asked in a thread here how to figure my deficit with calories burned in exercise too. Steve said to ignore that number and go with the number you get from the calculation. If you lose too fast, increase you calories a bit and if you lose too slow decrease them. You don't really know how many calories you're burning; all the gizmos that exist just estimate anyway. Some supposedly do get close though.

As far as finding calorie info, fitday.com is awesome. I use it everyday now, and days after I started my husband asked me to start one for him too. You can find most foods there and log it right there too. You have to be weighing or measuring your food though.

caloriecount.about.com works ok (your subway cold cut combo sandwich was about 410 calories) and so does calorieking.com, but for restaurant info you can just type in the search box "(whatever the food is) calories" and something will usually come up. My husband and I went out to a place last week and looked up nutritional info on the internet picking out what we were going to have before we even left. In fact I think it was before breakfast so we could work the whole day around that evening meal lol

You should get used to it pretty easily. And its great because over time you get to learn the right choices; some of them aren't as easy and straightforward as you would think.

Well I was able to go back to sleep.. and slept til noon!! WOW thats like 19 hours I woke up in the middle of the night when I got on and was up for like 3 but thats still 16 hours.. I NEVER sleep that much I'm lucky if I can sleep a full 8 hours and not wake up... so I must have been completely exhausted or I'm getting sick.. Hope I'm not getting sick though.. But I feel great tho my body isn't hurting like it was before I went to sleep and my headache is gone too.. but I feel like I just wasted so much time! Oh well I'm gonna get in some serious exercise today and tomorrow.. and I have to study for a test I have Tuesday.. :( I hate taking tests... Anyways.. I'll be back on later..
 
Food Intake:

Breakfast: Cranberry Almond Crunch w skim milk
Lunch: Turkey Sandwich baked lays a few green olives light yogurt
Supper: Turkey(can you let its left-overs..lol) carrots and peas...


Exercise:

45 min pilates
45 belly dancing
1 hour treadmill
1 hour yoga
30 min work out video

Total: 4 hours

I hope I can go grocery shopping tomorrow.. I have a bit of money but not a lot.. being broke sucks!!

I hope you feel better soon, maybe stress?My week has been crazy like that, all i was doing was sleeping.Sleeping for a lil bit after working all nihgt, then going back to bed with my lil one and sleepin for lik3 4 -5 hrs before heading back to work agian, sleeping at work, geeesh...but stress is brutual to me!

If you put as much effort into your tests and studing as you do weight loss/exercise im sure you will kick ass!

I think thats probably what it is.. but I do feel good today!! It sounds like your like me never a full nights sleep its just naps throughout the day when you can get them!! And I've been slacking on my studying... Meaning I haven't started yet!! :smash: But I will tomorrow and Monday!! LOTS!!!


Anyways I'm gonna do a bit more exercise and get back on
 
Well today hasn't been great.. I ate right tho but didn't exercise and I feel horrible about it but I have to study for a test and I really feel like crap our crazy weather got me sick.. it had been in the 0 to 30s for a couple weeks then we had a nice warm 59 day and back down to 30s and below.. so that has me sick.. I have a horrible cough and its hard to workout when you can't stop coughing :( but when I get better I'll be back on top of things.. but I weighed a couple days ago and I was up 2 lbs so I'm afraid I'll have a gain this week and I think it was bc I was increasing calories.. so IDK if I'm gonna count calories or not yet.. I may just keep doing what I'm doing and when weight loss stops I'll figure out what to do..

I also got groceries today.. spent 170$ wow.. more than I wanted to spend but that should last me at least a month so that not too bad.. anyways I need to study but I'll probably be back on later I'm sure I'll be taking a break..

170 for a month:)Nice! I spend that when im just buying enough to get by im lucky if it lasts me till the next pay day...but i have two mouths that eat alot!

Don't feel guilty for not exercising when you're sick; you need to get well before you can push yourself into even better shape!

As far as the gain, I know it's almost devastating. It does make some sense though if you were increasing calories to around 1800 from around 1200. How long were you eating the 1200 calorie diet? Moving up will cause a shift. The thing is, when you stop losing at 1200 you'll still have to slowly increase your calories anyway, and that will cause a tiny gain as well (which once you're at adequate maintenence you can promptly lose again - but its a tough slog of a game really). So the real question is whether you want to do that now or later.

I'm don't mean to be telling you how to do it, just that the only question is whether you do it now or in a month or two (or three, I don't know).

Oh yeah, the legal disclaimer (lol): I'm not an expert by any means :)

I was just eating healthy.. not really any rules I just started eating healthy and cut out all junk, fast food, and soda.. I have my daily food intakes in my diary if you want an idea of what I eat.. I haven't decided what to do yet.. But right now I just want to get better because I'm sick as a dog.. :ack2:

I'm out for now I have to study..

Hope you feel better girl. You iced in. I just had to call off my High School's basketball games cause we are even gettin ice in Texas!
