"We can't become what we need by remaining what we are"

  GIRLLLLLLLLL THAT'S AMAZING!!! You are on some MASSIVE ROLL~~~ KEEP IT UP!!!! i'm sooo happy for you!! :D:!!! YAY!!!

THANK YOU!! I'm sure this weeks results won't be nearly as good bc I won't keep losing an inch of my legs and arm next week.. lol but I'm super happy about it either way!!

10lb lost! Great! That is the first of many milestones you will cross. If you stay this intense with your plan you will be kickin tail! Dont stop. Have you planned your next few days to keep your progress going?

I have somewhat of an idea of what I'm doing but I'm not planning this time around.. and it seems to be working better without strict rules.. I have guidelines that I following strictly but no specific plan I always quit when there are too many rules taking over my life.. lol

But my diet restrictions is eating healthy and I'm starting to eyeball calories bc I think I need to eat more.. But I do plan on having an hour of exercise each day for sure with one day off a week which is today and weekends I plan on doing lots of exercise again! I've lost 10lbs when is good but I've lost 17 inches which is amazing and I can really see a difference in my body in 2 weeks which is awesome!!!

After that post about calories I want to give my thoughts on it...

Well I've been eyeballing calories lately.. But I don't think I'm getting enough I feel full but I know my body needs a certain amounts to function properly.. So I think I'm sitting my goal for somewhere between 1900 and 1800 per day.. I'm still not officially counting calories I want to get the feel of it before I start so it doesn't overwhelme myself and I stop again.. I'm just slowly introducing the idea into my lifestyle so I get used to it!! I think I've been hitting close to 1500 a day for the past week but I do think my body needs more.. but just wanted to share the thought!

PULLED OVER!! OH NO!!! I had expired tags :( and now I have to go to court for it

OMG, do you have to go to court for expired Registration? It's just a spot fine here :(

I just caught up on all your days since my (brief) return. You certainly HAVE been proactive. I am intreged by this whole 'teams challenge' thing. I guess I missed out when I disappeared again :(

Perhaps (when I am finished catching up on my Thread Buddys) I will see if I can find out if it's too late for me to join it too. I hate missing out. Poor me! :nopity:

Anyhow, Great to see you so motivated, and now I am back in the boat too, so lets start paddling!!!!

Paul,

Thanks! I've been trying and the challenge has really helped!! And I ended up calling the court house and they just made me fax proof that I had updated the tags! Thankfully! And I'm glad your back on track again! Too bad you were too late to join the challenge tho :( But I'm sure there will be more!! Anyways I hope your days been great!!

Wednesdays Update:

Food Intake:

Breakfast: Cottage cheese and garnola bar
Snack: Oatmeal on the go bar
Lunch: Cereal
Supper: Small portion of hamburger helper and about a cup cottage cheese and peaches

Fluids: 80 oz one glass short but I know I'll be drinking at least one more class tonight.

Exercise:

None.. bummer it makes me feel lazy! but I wasn't really feeling well today. I'm pretty sure I need more cals in a day bc my body is really weak and I think it's trying to tell me something. and maybe more protein.. I'll have to fix that!

Well I really need to go grocery shopping but the funds are super low right now! I have enough stuff to last for at least another week or more but I want to add some variety but oh well hopefully the bills will calm down soon.. why do they always hit you at the same time! wow stressful.

You're doing really great! I definitely recommend counting calories; knowing the right number is like having infrared goggles to see in the dark! :)

Thanks Gen,

I have been watching them closely so I think I'm going to start soon.. but still trying to get the swing of it first.. I've never counted calories before.. So I don't want to overwhelme myself with it. But I think its coming pretty easy so far.

Great job on the loss!! You're doing great! Definately track your calories... it makes things so easy to see... and if need be, make modifications. Keep up the superb work! :)

I know what you mean. I was so nervous at first that I was going to find out how badly I was eating and just want to give up, but its not so bad at all. You should definitely eat more than 1500 calories, I find 1500 difficult sometimes. Depending on the day and my mood of course. Here's why you don't have to worry too much: I'm trying to just stay under 1900 a day, but I'm not quite that strict. I just try to stay under 13300 a week (1900 x 7), so if I do go over 1900 on one day I don't have to panic because I borrow from another day. This week on monday I did 1450 and tuesday I did 1750 so yesterday when I did 1935 I knew that I had the extra calories and it didn't really upset me. Of course, I'm super happy if I make it alll week under the 1900 target every day, but that's over and above what I expect of myself. Also, as of now, I've never borrowed from a future date, only what I've already "saved up". It just gives a flexibility to it, so that you can actually live your life and be spontaneous a little bit. Not crazy, just normal. :)

Gen, what a GREAT idea, and way of looking at things!! Always borrowing from what you already have saved up??? You must be a FINANCE MAJOR!!! :D Good stuff, and advice! :)

Thanks! I got it from the calorie cycling idea. I don't calorie cycle but it showed me that going for a weekly target is ok, so I worked my flexibility from there. I need lots of flexibility with everything in my life. I'm one of those who dislikes too much structure.

Thanks JZ and Gen,

I think I'm setting my goal between 1900 and 1800.. But when I was eating what I had been eating and it was totally between 1200 and 1500 and I know thats way too low.. I don't feel hungry but I know my body will get used to eating more and give me more room to live a little...lol And I like the idea of going over and under some days.. Do you all know anything about the calorie deficit with exercise?? I don't really even know what it is but have seen people talk about it.. and want to go it right. Where is a good place to figure out calories in food that don't have it on them like meats, fruits, and veggies?? or what about dining out? Thanks guys any advice would really help me out I'm trying to figure this whole thing out..
