Vic’s Weight Loss

Was up late last night so did not check weight this morning.

Had my facial then went bowling with my sis. Had an drink.

I have to redo my mammogram on Friday. Then found out my prolactin levels are high so I have to do an mri. waiting on that call. So not sure if I’m leaving in January. I feel like just going. But I read that if it is a tumor on my pituitary gland, it can cause blindness. It’s a good thing I bought travel insurance. So I might just wait and see all the results from all the tests.

Tomorrow I’m going to mass at 4 then to my sis for Xmas eve.

Sangria! I love sangria! I hope you enjoyed every sip. :) And like Rob, I think it's a good idea to not fret about weighing for a bit - life's for enjoying, which is what the healthy eating is aiming at in the long run, anyway!

So at 129.2 lbs. Total lost for 2019 was about 20 lbs! This year I want to reach 113 lbs. So I did fall off the wagon with purging over the Xmas holiday but I got back on track. My weight went up to 135.2 with all that I ate. Today is Day 5 of not b/p!

Early tomorrow is my flight to St. Croix. Can’t wait for the warm weather and the sunshine. Over the last week I think I learned how to eat better and still lose weight. I’m going to have my biggest temptation of the butter bread and raisin bread. But I’m going to eat those once a week. Maybe just on Sundays. I plan on eating a lot of frozen veggies. And shrimp. I’ve been eating veggies at night and it fills me up. Sometimes I eat the whole bag. And I get up in the morning not hungry. So it’s a lot easier to do IF.

Yesterday for New Years Eve dinner, I just ate enough and did not overdo it. Ate a little rice, a little pork and lots of salad with lite dressing. I even had a couple of shots and a cupcake without the icing. Today I had breakfast over there. I had loginisa, fried egg, mangu, salami. I also am drinking coffee with almond milk. Over the past several days, i took away my breakfast sandwich and coffee with creamer. I don’t eat until after noon and I just have protein with vegetables.

Jan 1. Plans for 2020!

Day 5: Not b/p.

HW: 163.2 lbs
CW: 129.2 lbs
GW1: 127.0 lbs
GW2: 125.0 lbs
GW3: 119.0 lbs
GW4: 115.0 lbs
UGW: 113.0 lbs

Trying to do this with IF. Planning on fasting for breakfast. Just eating lunch and dinner. planning on eating protein and veggies. Planning on making a lifestyle change and eat this way until I reach the weight I feel comfortable with. I will not deprive myself but won’t make it a habit.

I won’t make a habit of always giving in to temptations.

So I have an hour before I go to the airport.

Yesterday for dinner I had baked pork and veggies.

Today begins Day 6 of not b/p. I have 2 long flights. I hope there is a place with good food for me to eat during my layover. Something healthy!

So I could not sleep last night. So I ended up cleaning. Did not weigh since it was so early. I’m at the airport in Atlanta. Had a biscuit cookie and cranberry juice. Just had a steak taco. Saving my other one for later.

Impressive year and great plans for 2020, Vic. Great job on the no b/p streak.

Hope your travels are smooth and that you enjoy St. Croix.

Thanks guys!!!

Just got here and loving the nice warm weather with no snow to worry about. My mom is looking better weight wise she has lost about 50 lbs.

I also had a package of cheeze it on the flight. Had the last taco also. Right now I’m not hungry but I’m drinking water. Tomorrow I will go to the store to buy what I want.

My brother who lives with my mom eats horrible. He likes fried food and sweets. And he has like diabetes and high blood pressure and heart problems. And he does not want to change his habits. Can’t force a grown man to do something.

Good for you, with the brilliant, well-organised and controlled (food-wise) start to the year! You sound really on top of thinsg - and so does your mother! :) Great that you can encourage each other.
You're right about your brother - you can't force him and (if he's anything like me) having family members comment or even just suggest nicely will only make him more resistant to making changes. Let's hope it will come in his own time, before too long.
