Vic’s Weight Loss

Sounds like you're having a wonderful time and being very reasonable with your food, which isn't easy on vacation!

It all sounds good, Vic 😊

Breakfast was bread with salami. Coffee with milk. Another breakfast of bread and cheese. Rum and Coke at beach. Lunch was a buffet at an all inclusive resort. Got rum punches. And dessert. Dinner was a chicken quesadilla and a screwdriver.

I meant chocolate cake, Llama!

Lots of fun, Cate!

So curious what my weight is. Thinking somewhere in the 150s, I hope! Tomorrow is our last day here.

Breakfast was provisions (sweet potatoe and steamed ripe plantain), salami, and a fried egg. Had bread and cheese for a snack. Lunch was some rice with peas, avocado, chicken pieces and tomatoes. Small piece of local chocolate. Snack was a roll with a slice of cheese. Dinner was half a fried snapper (the tail) and yucca with onions. And one chicken pincho.

Went to the beach this morning. I also went for a short 20 min walk on the sand.

Thanks, Cate! Will do!

Breakfast was mangoo, sweet potato, sausage, avocado, and eggs with red peppers. My sister MIL has been here about 2 days and has been cooking
and cleaning the kitchen for us. Glad to have her. Haven’t spent a lot of money on this trip.

Lunch/dinner were roasted pig, half a pastillo beef, black rice, and a salad. I also had 2 shots of birthday Irish crème. Also had a barley wheat with meat and a pate.

Waiting for rain to stop. The waves are rough this morning. Want to take a little walk later.

Leaving today. Bus will come at midnight for the airport.

Your breakfast sounds so delicious! And having someone around to cook for you seems like the ultimate luxury.

So I have been up most of last night. Had a red eye flight. Straight from Santo Domingo to Boston.

Breakfast. Ended up eating a wheat bread with chicken, ham and cheese at the airport before my flight. Had a coffee with milk and Splenda.

Finally home. Customs weren’t too bad. Luggage I had to wait an hour. But luckily I saw my shuttle bus as soon as I went outside the airport! Got my keys and drove home with no traffic. Got some groceries and took my bro to BK.

Lunch is going to be ground turkey, sautéed coleslaw, green beans with red onions and orange bell pepper. Maybe some garlic.

I’m charging my AirPods. I would like to go to the gym before it closes. I’m catching up on DOOL on peacock. A whole week worth of the stories!

My plan this week it to just eat veggies and protein for every meal. Will check weight in the morning.

Went to the gym and walked slowly on treadmill for 20 min.

Dinner was same as lunch.

I'm sure most of that 4 pounds is water weight and the rest would have been well worth it for such a great time.

Brown food is generally delicious but I don't think I've heard of brown chicken. Is it a specific sauce?

Brown chicken is made by putting white sugar on hot oil. Wait until it turns brown (before burning) and throw seasoned chicken in. Add water as needed.

Ah, so you're making like a caramel coating. That would look so good! Is the end result sweet or is the layer so thin you don't really notice?
