Went to my appt. Had chicken giblets for lunch. Started fasting at 12 pm. I am trying to do it until tomorrow at 5 pm. Will be having ribs and Mac n cheese that the guys will be making. I’m getting a pina colada cake.

Started drinking plain ice cold water at 2 pm. Seeing how long until I get tempted. Well made it to 430. Ended getting Starbucks. No line. Got a venti passion tea lemonade. My fav. Now drinking a smart water. Fast ends at 9. Had a caramel sundae!

I went to the gym this morning. And walked on an incline for about 23 min. 7 min I ran. I’m going to continue trying to run this week. I’m going to do some apple fitness videos later today too.

My sis got good news yesterday. She gets to stay on the VA Caregiver Program since she is a legacy member. I was worried about loss of her income. I hope she saves this money.

Planning on fasting till lunch. I hope no one calls me up today to do something. Wanted to go for a hike but it’s raining. I’ll go tomorrow when the weather is better.

Ended up getting a breakfast sandwich from DD. With iced cofffee with almond milk. Beef empanada for lunch. Had a boiled yellow plantain for dinner and cereal.

Yay on the running! If you used to be a regular runner you probably already know but just in case: start at a slow pace and don't increase to quickly.

Great to hear your sister will continue to get some cash: I'm sure she deserves it.
 
Well today I went for a hike at castle trail. Listened to two time to walk. Might go again later. Today is a beautiful day but just a little chilly. Had to bundle up.

Had a quarter of a cup of Cheerios and a little almond milk. And a banana. Have to go grocery shopping.

Went to the gym and walked on an incline for 30 min.

Lunch was 1 1/4 cup of Cheetos with almond milk. Dinner was a apple pecan salad from Wendy’s. Used my poppyseed dressing. After dinner I was still hungry so I had 2 scrambled eggs. I also had an herbal life shake. Finally fell asleep after.

Woke up early to take my sis for her appt.

Went to Panera Bread at Newburyport where the hospital is. Had a breakfast sandwich and a pecan pastry. Lunch is light. Just some steamed green beans. Dinner was bok choy. And some pico de gallo and a zucchini. Then I had one hash brown airfryed.

I hiked the castle trail.

Your life sounds so active these days, Vic. I love hearing about the time you spend with your family & how well you obviously get on with your sisters & their kids :)
 
Yeah, Cate. It’s springtime so no snow… I can finally walk the trails. It’s a bit chilly but I just have to dress warm.

Thank you, Cate. Yeah I’m so appreciative of my sisters. They have done a lot for me. And it is nice to play with their kids when I can. Since I don’t have any of my own.

I slept great last night. Went at a decent time. Did not get up to eat. Today I’m doing the same thing. Eating veggies for the entire day. Yesterday I did have bacon and egg for breakfast. I’m trying to have a plant based diet during the week. Just starting out. I hope I follow through today.

Breakfast was Dominican eggplant. I mashed it up and put in onion, cilantro, Sazon, and adobo. Pretty good. Lunch was collard greens. Snack was half a slim avocado. Dinner is butternut squash.

Went for a hike at the Castle trail.

Thanks for the reminder! I looked up some veggies that have protein. I’ll add in kale and will eat broccoli tomorrow.
 
There's 4.3 g of protein in 100 g of kale. Even assuming a very low protein intake of 60 g a day that means 1.4 kg (kilogram!) of kale. I couldn't do that.

Well I did not check content of protein. Maybe quinoa or chickpeas.

Today we r going to 99 and I’m getting a steak. And I’ll get a drink. So I’ll eat plant based till then. Maybe I’ll cut the veggies in half today. I ate so much yesterday. I was so stuft.

Breakfast was butternut squash. And a slice of avocado. Lunch was butternut squash and pico de gallo with avocado. Dinner at 99 I ate half my steak and broccoli. I didn’t get a cocktail. I just had a Diet Pepsi. After dinner before bed I had some eggplant. I forgot I also had a small bite of a chicken fajita flatbread. After dinner getting up I ended up eating some eggplant and the rest of my sirloin.

Today I did 10 min of a dance workout video and hiked the Castle Trail about 1.75 miles.
