I'm also trying to create accountability for myself; I tell people how much I've lost. I have the Fit-ify application on my Facebook page. I have a blog that I'm trying to get people to read just to create more accountability, and I'm finding favorite blogs of my own to read and to spur on the authors like they've spurred me on.
I've also tried to share my journey with family and friends, again just to create accountability. My parents and brother are impressed, but my friends couldn't care less. They've actually told me that I shouldn't bother and that my goal (to get down to 150 lbs) is too ambitious. I don't agree. Basically I'm losing for my LIFE here, not for vanity. They know that my blood pressure readings have been extremely high and that diabetes and heart disease run in the family. Yes, how *dare* I try to LIVE.
