hi there, stopped in to wish you a happy new year! also was looking at your diet and noticed you eat a lot of tuna. which is great! dont see too many fruits and veggies tho. also curious to know about how many calories do you think you consume a day?

WW. I do eat a lot of tuna because of the high protein value and i hate the taste of my whey protein so the tuna gives me most of my protein without resorting to suplements. I need a good kick up the bum sometimes for not eating enough Veg. I am eating somwhere between 1000 and 1500 calories a day but need to buy some scales to weigh my meat to be sure.

Things I need to improve this year.

More protein, I am still falling short of my required protein intake of 190 grams per day, hubby has given me a new smoothy blender to make my protein powder mix better and improve my fruit intake.

Less Salt, even though i don't eat a lot of processed food i still need to start choosing low salt version of the processed food i do eat.

More Fruit and Veg needs to be added to my diet

Enter my first powerlifting competition
Get selected in regional rugby team


I dont usually weight myself on sunday but my weight in for the first of the month is 86 kg / 189.5 lb

I still have pain from my strained muscle restricting some movement, I will be limiting weight training untill fully healed.

I usually track my exercize and weight loss in a spreadsheet so i thought the new year would be a good time to post my weight loss graph so far.

Today i decided to wear a T-Shirt i havn't worn for a while and it now feels like a tent :)
 
Its really great when old skinnier clothes fit again!I hope I get that feeling again soon!:) A spread sheet wow you are getting really scientific!!!!:eek: ;)

Food and exercize for Monday 2/1/06


Breakfast: 1 small peach

Lunch: Tuna, 2 small peaches

Exercize: swimming for 2 hours with the kids and hubby

Snack: 3 chicken strips from red rooster

Supper: 4 slices of pizza (1 vegetarian, 1 meat lover, 2 supreme) resisted the garlic bread and sprite just stuck with my water :)

Exercize: 30 minutes bike

Water: 3 litres

Hubby is on day 2 of quiting smoking and his mood is improveing this evening after a bad couple of days

Yesterdays food 3/1/06

Breakfast: Tuna

Snack Apple

Lunch: 250 grams fresh cherries (once i start i can't stop)

Snack: slice of cheese

Snack: 3 small bananas

Supper: 4 large Mushrooms and 1 Zucchini cooked in a nonstick pan with a light spray of olive oil.

Exercize: none :(
Water: 2 litres

my injury from weight training is still sore so i will make a better effort to get a doctors appointment today so still unable to train as much as i would like but will spend some time on the bike today.
 
Just a quick check in, I have a doctors appointment at noon today to have my hip and lower back checked. I still havn't had breakfast so will go and eat something now just before i head into town
 
After I read your diary, I feel like having tuna! I'm going to have to stop that since I have none left in the house. :)

I hope your doctor's appointment goes well!
 
back from the doctors, i have strained my Gluteus Medius and hubby is finding it rather amusing that i have strained my arse muscle. I have been given anti-inflamatory drugs but the doc couldn't say how long it is likely to heal because it is a hard muscle to rest.

i will report my food tonight.

Awww sorry about the bum deal at the doctors! (sorry I couldn't resist!) ;)

Hope you find some way to rest and burn at the same time. Perhaps, sitting with some arm weights? :) Just a thought! Good luck and keep troopin!!
 
Tell ya hubby he’s a pain in the arse and you can feel him lol. It looks like your doing really well with your food mate good on you.

Take care of yourself and give yourself time to heal. I agree with rosered about telling hubby he is a pain in the arse! :D
 
Hey Tru hope your Bum gets better soon!A good excuse to get Hubbie to give you an intimate massage in that area tonight!!:p
Keep up some exercise,taking walks around your property will help.I think if you didnt exercise it at least a bit it will make it worse and take longer to heal?
Hot baths with epsom salts?:eek:

Snack: sultanas and dried apple

Lunch: Tuna

Snack: 2 barley sugars from hubby's quit smoking junk food stash

Supper: Steak, Mushroom, steamed veg. meds for injury, Multi Vitamin tabs

Exercize: None
Water: 2.5 litres

will try to get to the gym tomorrow to just do an upper body workout and book a time for my fitness assesment and new weight program to be worked out. All this inactivity has made me a bit short tempered today ok probably more than a bit lol a lot short tempered.
 
Hey there, I am sure you'll do just fine making it to the gym tomorrow. Sorry the lack of activity is taking a toll on you. But you're doing great for suffering an injury.. really inspiring! :)
